Lindsay....well what can we say?! Beautiful photos and a beautiful person. Lindsay has been on the journey with us from the very beginning and through a year long postponement due to the pandemic. My Nan and I first met her at a wedding fayre and Lindsay was so down to earth and friendly, not to mention her photography skills! On the day Lindsay fitted right in, so much so infact when the following day came and we were packing up the venue, we really felt she was missing. Everyone commented on how smiley she is, she also asked if she could get involved in some ceilidh dancing!! Any quirky photo ideas that came to mind from silly to romantic she happily obliged while also suggesting some stunning shots herself. We've had a few preview shots back and they're truly stunning! I will say with a best man who is also a wedding photographer we are hard to please as we see gorgeous shots all the time... but honestly we cannot wait to see the rest of the gallery. Lindsay was amazing, she was recommended to me by a friend. I contacted her only a couple weeks before our party as we had already had the wedding and I hadn’t really been that organised for the party near home. She answered me straight back (even though she was on holiday) and kept me up to date with everything though emails and FB. She was lovely and very professional, getting guests in photos I’d like herding cats and she was very patient! To top it all off the photos she has captured are wonderful! What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Making sure you feel comfortable with the person who is taking the photos is a huge part of it - It's impossible to hide how you really feel if you're uncomfortable, so I do my best to make you feel as relaxed as possible and if you're nervous in front of the camera anyway, I have ways of making you feel like you're not having your photo taken!
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Where and when would you like photographs taken - do you have a preferred date and/or time? Who/what will I be photographing? Do you prefer candid photography only, or would you like some posed photographs as well? What do you want from your photographs/what is most important to you?
What do you love most about your job?
I love seeing and hearing the customer’s reaction when they see their photographs for the first time!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've always loved taking photographs, it just felt natural to do it as a career! Especially when I started to see how happy my photos made people - that's still the best part of my job!
Why should our clients choose you?
When you choose me as your photographer, you’re choosing someone who dedicates themselves to capturing beautiful, high quality photographs and providing great customer service. Each photograph is thoughtfully captured and carefully edited to make it the best it can be, because the most important thing is that you’re happy and love your photographs, as they tell the story of the best day of your lives! :)
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
Wherever possible, particularly for photography of small products, I recommend you send your products to me to photograph remotely. This is to avoid unnecessary travel, which benefits both the planet and your wallet, plus keeps us at a lower risk of getting COVID-19.
When you do, please include a list of the photographs you require, for example certain products alone, certain products together, and let me know whether you would like your products photographed in use, or returned unused (particularly if you are selling candles, food and drink products or any other item that can't be sold once opened).
If the product is something I would use myself, I am happy to keep it and share photographs on my social media when I use it, or you are welcome to include a return postage label which I can use to return your products to you.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I am extremely careful, I always wear a mask or visor when indoors in public and take regular lateral flow tests to ensure I am covid-free before attending your event or photography session
