We would like to say a huge thank you to Lisa who designed the most fantastic flowers for our July wedding in Hampshire. As a self confessed flower lover, I was always going to be hard to please...The first time we met Lisa she was so incredibly friendly and bursting with ideas of how to create the perfect flowers for our wedding! She was so incredibly helpful and professional, we also hired beautiful items from her to help style our venue including vases, apple crates and candle sticks! She styles these areas and they lookedFab! The marquee looked absolutely amazing, we had so many positive comments on the flowers we lost count! My bridal bouquet, the bridesmaids flowers and the button holes were also absolutely beautiful. Lisa also gave me a small piece of blue ribbon for a “keepsake” on the morning on my wedding which matched the ribbons on our wedding flowers! A lovely touch. We also received a lovely wedding card listing all of the flower names used to create our wedding flowers a brilliant idea!Although possibly our favourite was the floral collar made for our dog, it really did make my heart burst! The style was exactly as we'd discussed, she listened to what we wanted and came up with something that was even better than we could have imagined. I was so happy with the flowers on my wedding day. Lisa is so talented and creative and took the ideas that I had to the next level. I knew that I wanted quite bohemian wild flowers with lots of foliage, greens and whites and what I got was an English country meadow in a bouquet. It was amazing. She even recalled that I had mentioned that the groomsmen will be wearing burgundy bow ties and put a cluster of ripening brambles amongst the flowers in the bouquet. It was so thoughtful. Lisa definitely delivered my most perfect flowers for my wedding day. After only sending her a few pictures from pintrest she knew exactly what I wanted and on the day they arrived they were just beautiful. Lisa also decorated our reception with her silverware and roses with gysophelia and they just made the room look so lovely and elegant. Lisa herself is so bubbly and friendly and so easy to talk too. WOW, my wedding flowers were absolute floral perfection! It was like my pinterest board came to life! Lisa is incredibly talented and so lovely, she incorporated all the flowers I wanted and made them look even more amazing than I ever imagined! She managed to get hold of the stunning peachy David Austin roses that I wanted and she even hand dyed all our gorgeous silk ribbons to match the groomsmen's ties perfectly. When I received my bridal bouquet I had to hold back my tears because they were so beautiful ( and also because I was in the middle of having my mascara applied so would have been a make-up disaster haha) I cant thank Lisa enough for all the little details she did for us, from the silk ribbons, to the all the little tealights, candles, petals that were spread around the room making everything come together perfectly. She even brought along her easel for my mirror seating plan and added a wonderful floral arrangement underneath it, which was all out of her kindness it looked stunning! What do you love most about your job?
My background is originally in design and I get hugely excited chatting with new couples about their wedding flower ideas and creating bespoke mood boards and collages inspired by their venue, colour schemes, time of year etc. It’s so important for me to create the right look and feel for the flowers as they really do make a space and add to the tone and feel of the day. Working from home is such a treat! After years of commuting I very much appreciate the flexibility this allows- even though my house and studio are totally overrun with all things floral! And last but not least, obviously I absolutely love flowers!
What inspired you to start your own business?
My background and degree are design related- something that I am still extremely passionate about and incorporate into aspects of my work, such as choosing the perfect bouquet ribbons or looking at trending Pantone colours for my floral work. I like to keep up to date with what is happening in the wedding world and keep my work stylish and current. It took a huge leap of faith to leave the security of my design career, but I was ready to embark on an exciting new journey. Floristry had always been something I had dabbled in and the next step was to get qualified, which happened at the Covent Garden Flower Academy in London. One of the best things about starting up my own business has been the fantastic, passionate people I have met along the way, always willing to lend a hand and share their knowledge and experience which have been invaluable. I still get super excited every time I arrive at the flower market and like to allow plenty of time to indulge in perusing what’s new and in season.
Why should our clients choose you?
Flowers really do add a special touch of magic to a wedding. Not only do the beautiful bouquets and buttonholes set the tone for the day, but flowers really can transform a space, adding ambience and reflecting the couples’ personality and style. A good florist will be able to work with any budget and choosing seasonal flowers is a great way to get the most for your money. I love to see your ideas, so bringing photos along to your consultation is a great way to share your vision and a starting point for discussing specific blooms and costs. Many couples I have worked with will admit to not having much knowledge about flowers and might just have a colour scheme in mind for me to work with, which is totally fine too!
