Everything Was Exceptional - They Rocked! Lila Buffet Styling catered a party at my home on Christmas Lake, last July, and I couldn't have been happier - delicious food, elegant presentation, and fantastic service - all at a reasonable expense. Early in the planning process, I realized that if I wanted to enjoy hosting, I had to hire professionals. It's a big hike from the lake, where everyone was gathering, to our house (over 75 steps up a steep hill), so it's impossible to quickly pop in to the house for more appetizers, ice, etc. Working with Melissa Sanchez, my contact for the event, was a delight. I'm totally obsessive and Melissa happily responded to my many questions and emails. I was blown away by how accommodating and pleasant she was. Special dietary requests? No problem. Dispenser for white wine? Done. I appreciated her guidance when we were figuring out the menu - she's very smart about how much food to order, so there's enough, but not too much. I never felt that profits were coming before my needs and budget, which is fairly rare when when dealing with caterers. We served appetizers and a buffet dinner. Everyone at the party raved about the food and set-up. In between treks to and from the lake, Melissa also managed to wait on, and charm my 86 year old mother, who was stationed at the house all night. The whole thing felt like a spa treatment. Melissa Sanchez from Lila’s Buffet Catering was a smash hit for viewing an artist’s work staged at my home in Long Lake. Melissa was open and engaging with excellent ideas for the menu which needed to last 3hrs. She was also flexible with numbers as I had so many “yes” rsvps I ended up increasing the original number of guests by 50%! The bartender was genial, efficient, and fun. My guests raved about the foods available and were so pleased Melissa had contents labeled, even gluten free and vegan. Cleanup was spit spot and timely. We catered a bridal shower in Minnetonka because all of the hosts were out-of-towners.  I could not be happier with the outcome.  I received a customized proposed menu from Lili within two days of reaching out.  She was patient as we discussed menu options and quantities taking the time to price out several options.  We ultimately decided to go with Lila Buffet because the offerings were unique and ingredients sounded fresh and local.  We were not disappointed. All of the food was flavorful and beautifully presented.  I should mention that we paid the additional cost to have Lili set up and tear down.  That was totally worth it.  She brought beautiful serving dishes, candles, and used our decor to finish the whole look.  The buffet truly was the highlight of the event.  The macaroons were by far the best macaroons I've ever had.  Something else I have to mention: the hosts learned the night before the event that our bride had invited more people last minute.  At about midnight I sent Lili a desperate email to see if there was any way possible to accommodate more food.  She came through without missing a beat.  She would have been completely justified in saying no or at least throwing some attitude our way, and instead she was pleasant as could be.  I would certainly use Lila Buffet again and recommend you consider her for your event. Aurelie set up a buffet for my sister's 60th birthday at Tapestry Folk Dance Center.  Beautiful, fresh and tasty.  And with the leftovers we had a wonderful brunch the next morning with out of town guests.  We were all happy to re-experience the delights from the day before. Had a party last night at my house for around 100 people. Since it was a surprise party for my husband, I felt the need to outsource (unsure of how you pull of that big of a surprise without getting caught! )I couldn't be more pleased.  The food was amazing and the service as well. Thank you to Aurelie, Linda and Susan for being such fabulous entertainers- everyone commented on how you made them all feel taken care of and appreciated.  The food, phenomenal.  So many choices I can't name them all, but the don't miss from our party were- mac and cheese balls (really, the adults loved them too!), the mini chicken pot pies, peppers with cheese and to be honest everything else.  It was all awesome.  The choices were so diverse everyone found a few things to fall in love with.The desserts- even better than the dinner choices.  I can't begin to say which one was best- guests raved about them all.  I did manage to have every single one, couldn't resist, and the creme brûlée, chocolate eclairs, cake pops, macaroons, tiny lemon meringue pies were probably only surpassed by the fruit tarts.  The addition of the bartender, Jake, really made the event special.  The kids were even asking him for his autograph, and he smiled and complied- apparently he makes a to die for kiddie cocktail and rumor has it his pina coladas were the best ever!  The adult beverages of course were the hit of the night.  Thanks Jake, outstanding job.I appreciate all of the flexibility and huge effort you all put forward.  The surprise timing made your nights exhausting I'm sure due to narrow window to set up the fabulous spread, but you did it with a smile and incredibly professionally.  Everything looked amazing and tasted even better.  Thanks for making our night so special! Aurelie was so charming, and helpful!  Had a corporate event in my home last night (about 25 people).  People raved about the food -- the mini chicken potpies, cheese-stuffed peppers, chicken curry pita sandwiches, everything was delicious (and I have the leftovers for lunch today! ).  I almost adopted bartender Ryan.  Everyone needs a wine fairy, someone who, when I say, " I need to show people around, can you find me with another glass of wine?"  does, indeed find me.  We even had a minor crisis, when we learned guests were coming much earlier than planned.  Aurelie went "Oh!", and moved into hyper  drive.  There was plenty out when they arrived, and everyone was pleased.  Especially me!  Thanks, Aurelie!  Will definitely share your name! Using Lila Buffet Styling was a fantastic experience for myself and my company! We were traveling out of town and looking for a caterer to provide some sweet treats for a cocktail hour we were throwing. We didn't know much about the area, but after talking with Aurelie - we knew we chose the right caterer! She was prompt in her responses and made sure we had everything we desired.
