We had many loved ones who were not able to make our wedding, so we knew from the beginning that we wanted a videographer to capture our day. We went to what my husband thinks were hundreds of wedding shows, and out of every videographer we saw, none had a product equal to the quality of Moving Picture Weddings. From the moment we met the Moving Picture team and saw a few of their clips, we knew we did not have to look any further! The icing on the cake was discovering that Marc was an Aussie, his voice made me feel like I was back home!
On the day of the wedding the team was so professional and great with all of the guests, I had many friends comment about how fantastic they were.
The quality of their work is impeccable! The 'Next Day Edit’ was the perfect summary of our wedding, and a wonderful way to share our day with all our friends who were not able to attend; we also used it to surprise all our out of town guests at the day-after brunch!

The idea of having a camera on us all day was a bit intimidating, and we weren't sure how often we would actually watch the video. Hands down the easiest and best decision we made about our wedding day- choosing Moving Pictures to capture the most important day in our lives. Some bride and grooms might think woah about the price but when you really think about it, you will want to pick quality, not quantity (the wedding videos you get back within 48 hours or a week). Not only is the first introduction already very personable, they also meet with you before the wedding to get to know you personally and ask all your wants. Day of the wedding we felt so comfortable with Marc and the second shooter, they felt like family on that day and you knew that they already had their magical plan in place of how and where they were going to capture every moment of the wedding. We also had failed microphones from the DJ and because Moving Pictures uses their OWN mics, they saved the entire ceremony because we knew we would hear it because of them. They came to the rescue with lights since we cut the cake in the dark- which actually made the wedding footage look even cooler. The team was great about communicating our wedding timeline ETA and even though we waited a bit longer than anticipated it was 1000% even more worth it. They compensated for the time as well, adding in extra features and a preview. Moving Pictures also does this cool thing where they re-post footage on their social media randomly and makes you cry when you unexpectedly see it and cry at work. After watching some of the videos Moving Picture Weddings had brought with them to the Bridal show, and after getting countless amazing reviews from friends, we knew that they had to be the ones to capture our special day!
Both of our videographers were phenomenal! They were super easy to work with and made it seem like they weren't even there. They were professional, and friendly. I don't even know where to start. Marc and his team are amazing. I'm so obsessed with our video, and they did such an amazing job capturing all those special moments, looks, laughs and put it together in such a way that makes it so fun to relive over and over. We got our video today, and I think I've seen it at least 6+ times since 3 PM, when we viewed it live with them. Ryan did our editing and totally rocked it. Moving Pictures absolutely blew us away with their AMAZING work. Not only was the final product absolutely stunning (so much better than we could have imagined), but working with these folks was an absolute blast! Hiring Moving Pictures to shoot our wedding and rehearsal dinner was probably the best decision we made throughout the entire process. We are so happy that we went with Moving Pictures to document our wedding day. At one point, we were even considering if it was even worth adding to the budget. The decision to hire a videographer for our wedding came very late in the planning process. Like many couples, we thought, “when will we ever sit down and watch our wedding video? ” After looking for a few videographers online, we were very much taken by what Moving Pictures had on their website. The design and layout of their website was merely an accurate glimpse of the beauty, artistry, and professionalism that the team at Moving Pictures provided us. It was more than just a transaction with a vendor, it was an experience that only made our special day all the more magical. The ease and flexibility of Marc and his crew in unparalleled. As luck would have it, they had an opening on our wedding day and were perhaps more excited to work with us! When beginning to plan our wedding day, we were undecided about a lot of things, especially when it came to vendors, but there was one thing we were certain of - Moving Pictures was going to be our videographer. The films they create are hands down, the best out there. Every film they make is unique to each and every couple and does an incredible job at capturing the day. Somehow we found out about Moving Pictures, and we are so thankful that we did! My husband and I got married on June 30th this year, and we hired Moving Pictures to do our videography. We had made a list of the things we just had to have at our wedding, and videography was at the top of our list, along with photography. These are the things that you take with you from your special day, to treasure forever, and we knew we wanted the very best! We can't say enough positive things about Moving Pictures!! They truly are the best in the business! Not only are they extremely professional, but they make the whole experience very personal, and each member of the team is extremely friendly and passionate about their work! We had the pleasure of having Marc and Megan film our wedding, and we're telling you, THEY ARE AMAZING! They made the whole day fun, and knew exactly when to "cue" us for good footage, and when to sit back and film from a distance. We first met Carrie when we were getting more information about Moving Pictures. She is amazing and always responds so quickly to our emails! Marc met with us before our big day, to go over details for our wedding, and to get to know us on a more personal level. Marc really listened to what we wanted to be in our film. He made us feel so comfortable and confident that we had made the right choice going with their company for our wedding! He is so kind and very much passionate about what he does, and his energy is contagious. We sat and talked for a while, and honestly it felt like we had known him forever. Megan is amazing as well! She and Marc work so well together, and they made the experience fun for everyone involved! When we first met with Carrie, and later Marc, they were pleased to hear who we had chosen to do our photography, as they often work with these wonderful photographers. During our big day, it was very evident how comfortable the photographers and videographers were with one another, which made things go so smoothly!Emily was our film editor and she is truly incredible, too!! We were notified when our film was ready, and they invited us to come back to their studio for a "premiere screening!" My husband and I brought our parents with us and we all watched it for the first time together. There wasn't a dry eye in that room! She made the PERFECT video for us, and it so captured our amazing day, and all the incredible aspects that we were hoping to have in our film! From the beginning all the way to the end, Moving Pictures was simply amazing. They were  professional, personable and provided nothing but top notch service. Carrie was always available to answer any questions, help with our timeline and coordinate everything. She is the sweetest! Our videographer Ruvim was so cool! My wife Colleen could not have picked better people to capture the moment of our wedding. When she first told me how much a wedding videographer would cost. .. I thought she was insane... Now that I've had the "Moving Pictures team experience" I can without a doubt say that it was THE BEST money we spent for the wedding! I cannot say enough good things about Moving Pictures. My husband and I knew we wanted a videographer and we looked at at least 5 other companies. But everything  (the quality of the videos, the stories, the song selection, the voice-over) was just better with Moving Pictures. But they were just too expensive for us. Luckily, they were willing to work with us on a payment plan which made it much more affordable. We met with Matt in advance of the wedding and he got to know us and how we met, what we were like. On the day of the wedding, he and another guy (Super sorry for forgetting your name, sir!) showed up on time and dressed for a wedding. They followed the photographer around when she was taking pictures and worked effortlessly with her. During the ceremony and reception, I didn't even notice them! They just blended so well with the party. The only time it was clear that we had a videographer was during the toasts because they had to set up a tripod, bright light, and mic the speakers. But it was SO worth it. The final product was absolutely beautiful. They captures the best parts of our ceremony, speeches, etc. They chose a song I'd never heard before that somehow went perfectly with the theme of the wedding. I 100% recommend them. My husband and I have watched our wedding video at least 7 times. This is the only videography company to book in the Portland area. Marc and his crew were amazing. The entire day is so much rushing and go go go, you really look back and say, wow that was quick. It's so difficult to remember and appreciate all the things and moments that happened that day since you're always being pulled a million different ways. I have to admit when my wife asked if we could hire them I was hesitant, we had already gone over budget quite a bit and they were the last type of vendor we looked at, thinking that our photographer would be enough. I look back now and realize how foolish it would have been to not book moving pictures for our day. Phenomenal, there are not enough words. This may be a little out of the ordinary, because I am writing a review, not as a bride, but as the mother of the bride. Hiring Moving Picture Wedding's to chronicle my daughter's nuptial journey, was one of the highlights of our mother/daughter wedding experience! There is not enough space to write how extraordinarily talented, professional, kind, and genuine Marc and his team were with us! Even though Moving Picture Weddings  documents far more prominent events and people, we still were treated like VIP's.   Melissa and I were blown away by their eagerness and patience with us, in accommodating everything we wanted filmed! Moving Picture Weddings' warm, fun and yes, magical personalities had a way of transforming the awkwardness of being in front of camera into a memorable experience that felt more natural than you can imagine. No detail was neglected, no request dismissed. Moving Picture Weddings is beyond phenomenal!  When the "Same Day Edit" was shown at the wedding reception, I  was moved beyond words ( and I was not alone) at how perfectly they captured my daughter and her husband's love story! While wedding planning I received plenty of advice (as all brides do) but hiring Moving Pictures was by far the best advice actually I took! The recommendation came from our friends who had gotten married a year before us. I went back to watch their highlights reel. Literally it was like I was reliving the day again. I laughed and cried and then I made the call. I didn't look for anyone else. We are so pleased we chose Moving Pictures to film our ceremony and our reception. Being filmed is something that doesn't happen every day obviously, so we were way outside our comfort zones. Marc & Megan put us at right at ease--we felt comfortable right from the beginning; we didn't even realize we were on camera most of the time! What a FUN duo to work with, too. There were just 3 days between our wedding in Seattle and our reception in Portland so a rush edit was in order for a ceremony highlights video. We couldn't have been more pleased with the results--the film was reflective of our personalities and captured the feeling of the event perfectly.
