I was lucky enough to benefit from life coaching with Emily. I really didn’t know what to expect but very naturally, through gentle conversation and open questions we worked together to work things out. And it really benefited my headspace at the time, and helped me recenter and refocus on me - and the things I’d lost sight of. It’s clever stuff. It’s all there. It just takes someone like Emily to unlock it. More...

I love the 'aha' moments when a client realises that they know exactly what they need to do to create positive change in their life. It's a complete privilege to be part of this.

I’ve worked in fundraising, marketing, communications and creative roles. I’m proud of the difference I’ve made, but I’ve always been fascinated by the people around me – the way we interact, our relationships and how we work. I have three young children and a wonderful husband who are the centre of my world. I love being a mum and feel that I cherish my time with them even more when I also have projects of my own to focus on. They get a much better version of me as I feel every muscle is getting a stretch.

Many moons ago, I went on a short coaching course and I came away inspired and started to put it all into practice the very next day. When one of my team members told me I’d make a great coach I was blown away. Could coaching techniques really have that impact so quickly? And so, in 2016 after redundancy, I decided to retrain as a coach with The Coaching Academy and I haven’t looked back.

I know what life can be like. You know what you want, but you don’t know how to get there. That was me. For years and years. Or, you don’t know what you want and there’s no space or time to think. It’s ok to be a bit lost.

I used to get deliriously upset about work. I was overwhelmed and stressed. I would dread Monday mornings and would work all hours to try to keep on top of everything. Imposter syndrome was ever present. Two years into my new freelance life as a coach I realised these feelings had disappeared. I’ve chosen to focus my energy on what I really want not what I think I ought to do. I no longer do anything that fills me with dread. I feel in control and present. I am the very best version of myself and I now get to help other people be the same.

You love what you do and are good at it, but you need more. You feel life is running away from you and you know life is short. You need to take action soon. You need clarity about Plan B.

You work hard. Life is busy. You’re overwhelmed and sinking under the pressure of keeping all the plates spinning. You need to know what to prioritise so that you can feel calmer and more in control.

You’re in a rut. You want to feel more confident and happier. You want to be 100% you, 100% of the time. You want to believe in yourself and walk tall.
