I love coming to Lifestyles. Its a workout that I actually look forward to! Being a college student at ASU, they help motivate me and are super flexible with my busy student life. I had knee troubles, so Mark and Drew really helped make my muscles stronger, and I feel great! They also offer food tips on what to eat, and what to buy at grocery stores.

As someone who had never worked out before going to Lifestyles Fitness, I can’t recommend this gym enough. Drew and Mark were both extremely friendly and they made the entire process of working out accessible and fulfilling. I came away from every session having learned something new about my body, about workout techniques, and about how to challenge myself. What struck me most about the gym, however, was the friendliness of both its trainers and its clients — within a few weeks of starting, all the regulars knew my name. Week after week, I found myself greeted by supportive and kind people who, like me, were working on developing a healthy lifestyle and a healthy body, rather than merely working out to look good. Within a few weeks of working out with Drew and Mark, I was surprised and impressed with my results.

Mark Hill is, hands down, the most best personal trainer I have ever worked with. I crossed paths with him at a small gym in California, and I was blown away by how much Mark had me accomplish with a simple kettle bell and a bench. I was so incredibly impressed with the depth of his knowledge, and how many different ways there are to exercise muscle groups that I didn't even know about. Mark knows his stuff, has a fantastic approach to fitness and is incredibly supportive. Best decision ever!

Picture it: Super Bowl Sunday, this year. I've decided not to go to a party because I feel like it will get in the way of me stuffing more and more food in my mouth while watching my Broncos lose. Well, first of all, they won! Second of all, when it comes to a personal Super Bowl Party, let's face it: there are no winners.

Steak. Crab legs. Italian bread. Jalapeño potato chips. Cheese. Chocolate. Sour Patch Kids.

I woke up the next day and decided it was time to start eating better and to take my fat ass to the gym, but I didn't really believe it would work. I'd been to many gyms, many times, and I'm not great at motivating myself (unless it's about eating candy--then I'm pretty unstoppable).

The point is that I started to change my diet, and by the end of the month I found Mark and Lifestyles Fitness Personal Training. I liked Mark's manner, and I decided to go for it. There are some details that you don't need to know here about a gallbladder attack and surgery and stuff like that. Really all that did was slow me down. It did not stop me. Let me share with you what has changed from my intake in late February, to my test in early June:

Waist: from 40" to 35.5"
Weight: from 199.6 to 184.4
Body fat: from 23.6% to 16.0%
Lost: 18 lbs of fat
Gained: 3 lbs of muscle

My cardio is similarly off-the-charts improved. When I started working with Mark, Drew and Keith, I hated it and my pulse would climb to 160-170 in a hurry and it would take forever to go down. I had to do very little, because I couldn't do much.

Today I did a full workout and while it was challenging, I loved the challenge. I still have a long way to go in terms of cardio health, and I'm not exactly a pinup model yet, but I'm moving in the right direction and I love that.

All three trainers have their own styles, and I like them all very much. They keep things interesting. And they're all really nice guys who will give you the attention you need. And they'll help you with food! Suffice it to say I didn't get here eating Sour Patch Kids.

I strongly recommend these guys. If you're ready for change, they can help!

Mark & Drew are stellar trainers, they tailor workouts to fit your specific and evolving goals as well as your progressing fitness levels. Each trainer shows you how to do all exercises utilizing proper body mechanics so there is never a chance of injury. The exercise routines are constantly burgeoning to challenge your increasing strength and dexerity. You will never stagnate under their tutelage. I credit Drew with the noticeable improvement in my upper body strength. A few weeks ago I crashed my approximately 200 lb. dirt bike into a gulley with enough force to embed one side of the handle bars deep into the hard packed dirt. I was able to pry my bike out of the dirt, lift it off its side and get it out of the gulley by myself. Even my 6'4, 215 lb. extremely strong husband was impressed by that feat!! Without Drew and his awesome workouts I would have never been able to conquer that real world situation. Mark is incredibly knowledgeable about nutrition and diet. He has distilled all of that data (so much of the material out there is conflicting and inane) into coherent information applicable to your daily life. If you are ready for a positive change, Mark and Drew will provide the impetus and tools necessary to accomplish your personal goals.

While at a training in Newport beach I crossed paths with Mark Hill. I knew him from before but had never trained with him until then. I was incredibly surprised at the depth of his knowledge and how he was able to craft a workout that worked extremely well for my body type and was in line with what I was looking to achieve. Right from the very first workout I was able to understand why my knees had been hurting for so long, and what I could do to change that right away. I also learned that there are lots of ways to do abs that aren´t crunches, and how to maximize my time in the gym. I couldn't´t recommend Mark enough!!

I joined Lifestyles Fitness as a total novice about four months ago, but it has taken almost no time at all for me to acquire a truly indispensable repertoire of knowledge and experience from trainers Mark and Drew, whose expertise cannot be overstated. Mark and Drew each have their own take on what makes a good work-out, but despite their (amicable) differences, I was able to learn abundantly from both of them. The variations in their approach to strength training allowed me greater versatility in my workouts. Both Mark and Drew were always happy to discuss different strategies and techniques for working different muscle groups, and their explanations were accessible and very informative. As personal trainers, I cannot recommend Mark and Drew enough; they took my goals seriously and were supportive (but never overbearing) when I hesitated.
