There are times in each of our lives when it is beneficial to share the burden of personal struggle and the desire for personal advancement. Here you’ll be provided the safe space to find the inner strength and resiliency to overcome obstacles and move forward with your life.
Principles of Coaching
The principles here support the process of mental health coaching (Values-Narrative-Behavior) to live a more integrally engaged life:
1. My Values direct my attention to what is important to me.
2. I evaluate my experiences and select my behavior through a self-narrative or perspective.
3. Every perspective is flows through the relationships forming my interconnected life.
4. My behavior is a response to circumstance and can be changed by expanding my perspective.
You can learn to remove the harmful effects of shame and doubt that so often accompany depression, anxiety and problems in the relationships of home and work. These effects can be generated through unhealthy attachments, often involve family of origin (FOO) and/or group indoctrination and accompany major life transitions. I believe with encouragement and guidance, you can be free from limited personal stories to move forward into a greater expression of yourself. This relational view of personal growth is at the heart of the practice at Life Weavings.
Interpersonal dynamics and Relational-ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) serve as the structure for improving and working with emotional regulation and the relationship skills needed for the personal and work areas of life. Relational-ACT is first and foundationally concerned with Values and how they manifest in the Narratives that guide your Behavior. You are more than any single or set of behaviors and should not be limited by ignoring the underlying Values and Narratives guiding your actions. Coaching will help expand your perspective to express your fullest and best self.

Life Weavings Q&A
What do you love most about your job?
Working with people to explore their lives and find new ways of expressing themselves. One of the greatest feelings is when a client looks back upon their immediate life and recognizes they're doing something they never thought they'd do and see the smile come over their face.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My background is in formal therapy settings, but I didn't like the constraints forced by diagnosis and seeing people as a medical problem waiting to be fixed. The freedom of going my own way allows me to see the whole of people's humanity, not just a label.
Why should our clients choose you?
I'm upfront and honest and am not interested in becoming your guru. My goal is to help learn principles so you can make the best decisions you can about the one thing you know the most about: your life.
