I'm a Life Time megagan. I've been a member for over ten years, visited Life Times across the country and moved across the street from this particular Life Time. Its that good.

Four stars A year ago, I gave this gym a low rating because of the lack of accessibility for people, like my daughter, who have physical disabilities. Though my daughter could get around the building, most of the equipment and classes were not accessible for her, which was sad, because this demographic needs access to fitness just as much as the rest of us. Our only option was personal training, which was fantastic but not financially sustainable long term. That said, the group fitness classes I took, and the personal trainer we worked with (Matt K.) were amazing, and a year later, I decided to change my rating. Cycling classes like Edge Sculpt, and yoga classes like Surrender, Root, and Sol have helped me maintain strength and flexibility, so I can continue to care for my daughter. More...

I haven't being going to the gym since I relocated. I'm glad I've have a grandfather plan because the rates for using this gym is high. The gym looks very clean for the most part. One thing I notice is people here are serious about working out than  when I lived in Maryland. People take the time to wipe down equipment before and after using the machines. Personal trainers are excellent and know what they are doing. The classes they offer fit perfectly in my schedule. The juice bar and sushi bar makes me wanna workout every single day. The women's bathroom could use more air freshener and better cleaning. I suggest wearing shoes at all times when inside the bathroom. More...

Our family loves LifeTime! When it first opened, we thought it would be full of bougie people with bougie attitudes, but we quickly found that it's not that way at all. Yes, it feels upscale and it's reeeally nice inside. (It's also incredibly clean All. The. Time!) I came here on a guest pass and am super impressed. This is by far the fanciest gym I've every been to. The locker rooms alone are pretty luxurious. They have everything you need: shampoo/conditioner, deodorant, hair spray and mouth wash. They have every class you can think of and a steam room, sauna, indoor and outdoor pools. All this comes at a hefty price. Membership dues are $100 a month but for everything you get, it seems to be worth it. More...

Love, love, love! I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else to workout. They truly care about curating the ultimate member experience for you. Part of building a winning culture, especially a winning gym culture, is encouraging PROGRESS not perfection. Personally I have never had a bad experience when coming to this location. I have never had to wait for any workout machine seeing as they have so many treadmills, bikes, weight machines, etc. .. Cleanliness rarely is an issue as I constantly see the staff roaming around and ensuring the facility stays top notch. The indoor and outdoor swimming areas are pretty good with one caveat that I wish they had a deeper deep end for diving and deep water drills.Overall, if you are looking for a top notch gym experience you won't find much better! This place has it ALL! I've been coming to Life Time Fitness for about a year now whenever I am in town. The staff are very friendly and the facility is well maintained. My boyfriend surprised me for a spa day this past weekend. I got my manicure and pedicure with Sudi, she is good. I also got a last minute hair cut, I was unprepared regarding what hair style I wanted. Â I am terrible with hair care and haven't had a hair cut for a good 2 1/2 year (yikes). But luckily, Jared came to the rescue! He was very detailed and helped me decide what hair cut would be appropriate for me. I am so impressed and already received many compliments how healthy and beautiful my new hair looks. Definite confident boost!!! I will be returning soon (not 2 1/2 Â years) LOL More...

I recently used a guest pass over the Thanksgiving holiday while I was visiting family. Jason Jordan facilitated my acquiring the pass and was kind and friendly during the process. I cannot speak highly enough of his bedside manner and the ease in getting a guest pass.The childcare center is delightful: there are both indoor and outdoor play spaces, as well as quiet play areas and books inside. The staff in the childcare center are involved and friendly. My son adored going: every day, he told me, "I had fun at Mommy's gym!"The weight equipment is well maintained, and much is new. There are rows of squat racks--I never had to wait to get a leg workout in. The deadlift platforms are very nicely made and work wonderfully. The machines are in good working order and they even have a Nautilus Glute Drive! As a bikini competitor, I was over the moon.There are rows upon rows of a variety of cardio machines: from standard treadmills, to StairMasters, bikes, and more. Even when the gym was packed on Thanksgiving morning, I had a cardio machine immediately available for cool down after I lifted.I had a wonderful time at Life Time Fitness North, and you will too! Let me start of by saying that my entire family decided to join & they come 5x a week regularly for the past 2-3 years. Yes it is a bit pricey but looking at the amount of classes, new equipments, constant cleaning services & the amount of specious environment you get in a gym. .. well it's definitely worth every penny. This is like a family retreat/ spa type of gym where everyone treat each other with respect. When you come often, people recognize you & treat you like family. There are so many types of classes you can select from. The cafe is great as well. I love their avocado toast which is only $3 and refillable coffee! Yes some other things are a bit on the pricier side but it's obviously not a must to dine at the cafe. You're welcome to take a 1 min drive down to Trader Joe's and grab a salad. More...

Harley is the best trainer at Lifetime Syosset! He has trained me and my kids (who are now working out in their College gym), for years. Went to this place on a guest pass, absolutely phenomenal. Millions of times better than the awful Princeton Fitness and Wellness Center, that place was/is just terrible. The HR manager Lindsay Harris is just beyond awful, she is rude and just rotten on the inside. As well as a fitness manager Sharon Casper, Lifetime is absolutely amazing. I have not yet joined, because I live a bit away, but I do plan on it. The GM I know from Cando as well as Princeton Fitness and Wellness, he’s a great person, keeps the place nice and clean. This is an absolutely amazing place. Â I went there on a guest pass and was very pleased. Â Have not joined yet as I live a little bit of a drive away and the downside is the route 1 traffic in the morning, but aside from that, the place is amazing. Â I know the GM from CanDo, he's a great person and very kind as well. Â This place is millions of times better than Princeton Fitness and Wellness Center, that place is just beyond terrible. It's a nice gym for families. If you don't like kids, I would recommend another gym. There is a big indoor pool and an awesome outdoor pool (for use in warmer months). The upstairs has a huge basketball court and a yoga studio. There are tons of machines and weights. There's also a cool little obstacle monkey bar thing. They have some very unique machines here! The cafe is clean and has free WiFi. The sandwiches and rice bowls are delicious. A lot of people sit doing work on their computers. The bathrooms are enormous and have countless lockers that are free to use and have combo locks that you can reset and make your own combo. The women's bathroom is stocked with tampons, razors, mouthwash, makeup remover pads, and more. The bathroom is always clean! This place is very expensive, but you can definitely make it worth it if you take advantage of all it has to offer. Some of the kids here just need to be controlled a little better, but that's just due to bad parents who let their kids run loose screaming. I don't think I have ever ran around in public screaming my head off as a child, but my parents raised me to not scream like an animal in public. Staff should reprimand the parents who let the bad kids ruin other adults gym experience. You can always stop at the spa after working out to relax though. I love the variety of things to do here! Has the best staff and the facility is cleaned except that the building is old and in the women’s locker room steam room needs a fixer upper update. By far the best gym I’ve joined! The childcare is what really makes it amazing. My 19 month old LOVES going. I’m a stay at home mom so he’s very attached to me and he rarely cries when I leave and if he does one of the girls immediately picks him up and comforts him and he stops crying right away. I have been going to this club for 5 years.  I have gone to a full range of gyms including health clubs, hard core gyms(like USA),  Pilates studios, and Orange Theory.  They all have their own little niche, but Lifetime really has it all.  The facility is like a resort, the staff is friendly(Denise at the front desk), Matt my trainer is the best, and they are constantly upgrading their equipment and amenities.  The fellow clients and whole environment  are the reason workouts are never skipped.  It's the best overall fitness experience out there.
