What inspired you to start your own business?
Liberty Brand Lab was started by Liberty Riggs as LJR Designs in 2014, back when Macbooks were still white. She didn’t have an LLC, a client contract or a savings account, but a photographer friend needed a logo and she took that first job with a hope and prayer. After a few more projects on the side, and a few more frustratingly late nights at her agency job, Liberty began to wonder...“Maybe there’s a better way to do this...” And so she set out on her entrepreneurial journey. Since then the company has evolved - moving from Maryland to D.C. to Texas, changing names twice and growing to include multiple employees and vendors. We’re proud to say that since those humble beginnings we’ve had the privilege of partnering with small businesses, influencers and Fortune 500 companies across the globe. But through it all, we’ve always stayed true to our roots - beautiful, strategic brand design.
