Just got home after a lovely spa day with my friend.
I will be honest I was abit apprehensive about our day ahead as the reviews where very mixed and seem to be 5* or 1*
All in all we had a really lovely day, staff supper friendly and attentive, all very organized and treatments on time. Pool area very nice, loved the relaxation rooms, tea and coffee available in all different areas which was really nice.
Couple of negatives, now these wouldn't stop me going back or recommending to a friend but they are things I felt could be improved. Seating areas around the poor or you may call them sun loungers are rather uncomfortable especially being made of wood.
We had a manicure and pedicure and I just felt they where rushed and the painting was of poor quality, made worse by waiting an hour for said nails to dry to then when arriving home the polish on 2 of my toes had rubbed off in my shoes. Now I have never had anything like this happen before.

Love everything about riverhills. So relaxing and tranquil and everything you want a spa to be. Had many a spa day here and it's always been a perfect day from start to finish. All the staff are fantastic, food is delicious, massages and treatments are the best in Ipswich, gym is lovely and new, changing facilities are spacious and clean. On site hairdressers are 10/10. Plenty of car parking available. What more can u ask for More...

Been to this Spa a few times now since it was retained after the Bury site was sold, which was our prefered location.
My friend and I always take up the spa day offers as these are great value for money.
We visited yesterday as Sundays are often quieter, from experience. We had a Med Glow massage and a facial in the morning which were amazing!!
Lunch wasnt overly exciting but well presented and quickly served.
After lunch we have Gelish manicure and a Pedicure. Meg who did mine was a lovely lady who was very bubbly and friendly and did my nails beautifully! A fantasic day!
Downside - Admin hadnt given the staff full info therefore i was constantly called Chloe instead of Claire and rather than remaining in the same room for the massage and facial so you can fully relax but im sure it was a one off. All in all a fantatsic day. More...

Had a lovely afternoon tea spa day with my mum. From the moment we arrived we felt looked after and relaxed. All areas exceedingly clean and tidy. Our treatments were a facial and manicure and both therapists were professional, friendly and approachable. Really made to feel at ease. Afternoon tea was just right for a relaxing day. Only thing I personally didn't like was the seating as the chairs are an odd shape for my back. However, this would not stop me from visiting again. More...

A group of us came on Saturday as part of my daughters Hen Do. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with nothing but smiles and courtesy. All treatments were pre booked and all ran to time and were amazing!! (so much so my Daughter booked a 2nd massage)! All Staff were amazing all day! They even arranged our Taxis to take us to our evening meal. Our lunch was delicious (we ordered when we arrived) and nothing was too much trouble! To top it all off the weather was stunning!!!

I was given a buyagift voucher for Christmas and chose Riverhills based on reviews and the fact that even though it is nearly 60 miles away it is the closest spa we could exchange our voucher in.
It was definitely worth getting up at 6 to be there for 8:30!!!!We had an absolutely lovely spa day. Treatments were excellent, food was good and staff were, without exception, warm and friendly and the therapists very professional.
It's strange considering how expensive it was, that our package didn't include towel, dressing gown and flip flops but the reception team let us know on booking so we didn't have to pay the high hire charges!
If we were closer we would definitely visit again but sadly the long drive home when feeling sooooooooo relaxed and chilled was a dampener on the whole day. More...

I did the 12 day free pass and absolute fell in love with the place.....we went pretty much everyday and we continue to do so as members, it's a nice postive environment to be around with everything you need under 1 roof! Facial, afternoon tea and spa facilities with my daughter for my birthday. Lovely & clean. Best facial I’ve had! Afternoon tea was high end, really tasty and filling plus they cater for all ie vegetarian, gluten free, allergies etc. Pot of tea gave us two good cups each. The jacuzzi was broken which was a shame. The wooden seats for lounging could do with padding of some sort. The robes for hire at £10 each I thought expensive but you can take your own so I would recommend you do. The three saunas and swimming pool were lovely and freely available. Was a bit sceptical about coming here after reading some of the reviews, but my daughter bought me a spa day as a present. From the moment I arrived I was impressed by the cleanliness, the lovely aromas and the friendliness of the staff. The pool area was warm and lunch was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed my back and shoulder massage, as a massage virgin I was a little wary! The therapist was very good. This place way exceeded my expectations and given a choice of here or Five Lakes in Essex, an allegedly luxury spa resort, Riverhills wins hands down! More...

Went yesterday for my daughters 19th birthday - we had never been before and were a bit nervous as we didn’t know what to expect! But there was no need - we arrived at the reception and were greeted by a very friendly helpful member of staff - we were asked to wait in the dining room and that someone would be over shortly to take our lunch orders- she returned after about 5 minuets with our Locker keys asking if we had been before and if we hadn’t would we like a guided tour of the facilities - we felt more relaxed being shown round rather wandering round aimlessly feeling lost - she explained that our flip flops and robes would be in our lockers waiting for us and if we had any other questions just to ask and hoped we enjoyed our day. The lockers were very spacious and clean the pool area was lovely and plenty of loungers to relax - our lunch was at 12:15 we arrived 5 mins before and were promptly seated and asked if we would like something to drink and shortly afterwards our starters arrived they were lovely and our main was excellent food was hot and presentation was faultless. Our treatments were at 13:30 so we made our way to the relaxation area which was very welcoming and clam where you can sit and chat or even have a little nap wrapped in one of the throws! We had a double treatment room which was lovely - we had the journey into serenity which I would highly recommend - my therapist Olivia was very professional and made me feel very at ease- the right amount of pressure during the massage and explained every stage of my treatments- didn’t feel rushed at all. My daughters experience was not so satisfying - complete opposite to mine! Which I felt very disappointed for her as it was for her birthday! We then went and had coffee and cake in the lounge which was lovely and a great finish to our day. More...
