I really can’t recommend Graham highly enough. I muddled along for years trying to learn Guitar. Picking up chords from friends and learning riffs on youtube. I was never really advancing as I was avoiding the complications of music theory and proper guitar techniques and form. It all seemed daunting to me. I finally realised that to advance I needed guitar lessons. Grahams website popped up and so I decided to give him a try. I am so glad I did. I have improved so much in a very short space of time and I have a renewed enthusiasm to play. He has made music theory easy to understand and accessible which has opened up doors in my playing. Graham has developed his own methodology of teaching which is a fast, practical way of getting your playing to where it wants to be. His PDF learning aids have been invaluable to me. Most importantly he is a lovely bloke who is easy to learn with. I just wish I decided to take his lessons years ago, I’d be Hendrix now! More...

Having struggled to make much progress with my ability to play acoustic guitar, I started taking lessons with Graham just a few weeks ago. It has proved to be one of my most successful New Year’s resolutions! As others have pointed out, Graham is a very effective teacher - communicating information and ideas clearly; identifying my own particular stumbling blocks to improvement and explaining the steps I need to make to improve. I have no hesitation in recommending Graham to anyone who is serious about wanting to learn the guitar. More...

I have been learning with Graham for about six months now and it feels like my playing has come on tenfold in that time. I always look forward to my weekly lessons with him. He is extremely knowledgeable and, more importantly, can explain tricky concepts and topics at just the right level for me. More...

I have spent many hours on guitar with Graham. He was a great help with our demo recording and gave us lots of support with our guitar technique. We were still learning as a band. Graham was a top skilled musician and a top guy. I have had guitar lessons before that were slow and lacking direction. Graham can quickly figure out what level you are at. Set a plan to improve youre playing.5 stars. More...

I've been playing guitar for quite a few years but had struggled recently with my technique and with moving forward with any purpose. I decided to have lessons with Graham and have been having them for about 6 months. They have made a huge difference. My technique has improved greatly and we have also covered a variety of topics. All the topics follow on from each other and tie in with songs etc and all are supported by handouts etc. Graham has great knowledge and experience from many years of teaching and his style is very thorough but also very relaxed and fun. I feel I have learnt a great deal in a short time and would highly recommend Graham. More...

I had been playing the acoustic guitar on and off for the best part of 10 years before I started having lessons with Graham about 2 years ago. He is without a doubt the best guitar teacher I have being lucky enough to study with both in his technical ability with the instrument and his ability to convey information about music. Before starting lessons with Graham my playing was limited to open and barre chords and isolated scales. Graham has taught me how to build chords through the understanding of the relationship between the notes rather than learning a list of potential patterns and shapes which are transferable around the neck. He also explained scales to me in such a way which gave me much greater freedom moving around the neck rather than being stuck in one particular position. This in particular has made it much easier for me to play along with music that is new to me, something I could never have done with such freedom before.Graham is a friendly guy and creates a very stress free learning environment. Every lesson I have had with Graham pushes me to the capacity of my musical understanding and playing ability, which for me is the definition of value for money. Whether Graham is teaching me a new concept or I ask him a question I have come up with in my own musical confusion, he is always able to answer it completely (Really completely). If you want to seriously play guitar and learn about music Graham is your man. I've been to quite a few guitar teachers over the years and finding a good one is a hit and miss affair. Mostly misses to be honest, there's a lot of hacks out there. Graham is another league entirely however. Apart from being an amazing player he has the knack of explaining everything in clear and simple terms. My playing has improved massively. Strongly recommended. More...
