I encourage you to do a meeting with David prior the wedding date in order for him to get to know your style, what music artists and genre you and your partner enjoy. He is attentive to helping you pick songs when you are having difficulty and can trim/cut songs to the exact minute and second! David makes it easy to add songs to an online portal divided into categories: pre-ceremony, cocktail hour, during dinner etc. We had a SDG&E Blackout 1 hour before the wedding was over, David kindly came to the after party to spin up until the late hours of the morning. DJ Leeds DJ'ed our wedding this past weekend and was AMAZING! We coordinated with him from across the country and he made it seamless and so easy. He was thorough in helping us figure out what our needs were going to be and was collaborative throughout the whole process. He utilized a client portal with a worksheet to keep track of different musical selections we wanted which was extremely helpful. He was informative and knowledgable about what we needed to think about before the big day, and then made everything so perfect for the actual wedding. He did beautiful uplighting for us, was personable and natural as master of ceremony for the evening, and played the perfect mix of songs. We had highlighted that we had a wide scope of guests and wanted to accommodate a variety of different types of music- and he nailed it. Our dance floor was non-stop and the guests had the best time! Dave is awesome! We hired him for our company Christmas Party. DJ Leeds Dj'd our wedding on April 14th, and he was great!! Looking back on the day it was all a bit of a whirlwind (as every bride tells you) but I keep thinking of how absolutely PERFECT everything was, which I know had a lot to do with DJ Leeds. He made sure all the songs played that were supposed to on time, and led our Shoe Game wonderfully. The uplights he provided were beautiful and I loved the "Mr. and Mrs. Boyd" light he created for the floor as well. When it came time for dancing, he played all the right songs and our wedding turned into a party! DJ Leeds DJ'd our  wedding at Scripps Seaside Forum on 3/31/18. He was AWESOME and super easy to work with. He brought 3 different set ups  so that we could have the reception set up, ceremony set up and the cocktail hour upstairs for cocktail hour. He was easy going, quick to respond to emails, and working with our videographer and did a great job mcing and pronouncing my new husband's difficult last name correctly. DJ leeds is amazing! he truly was the best to work with! Music and sound was perfect at our Ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. DJ Leeds was exactly what we needed for our wedding. He showed up early, set up his station and uplights, worked well with our coordinator, and played music to keep the party going. DJ Leeds is the best!!! After "shopping" around for DJs, and interviewing 4 other DJs, we choose DJ Leeds and we are SO glad we did! Our wedding was two weeks ago, and people continue to compliment us on our choice of DJ. Not only did he respond to my emails and texts quickly, but he met with my husband and I in person multiple times to go over our event timeline and music choices, to make sure we felt comfortable with everything before the big day. He was completely in tune with the entire wedding, and didn't miss a beat. We had decided on our grand entrance songs that the bridesmaid and groomsmen pairs would walk out to, and DJ Leeds picked the PERFECT part of each song to play during the entrances. During the wedding, one of our groomsmen was missing when we were ready for the grand entrance, and the DJ had to make a last second switch to keep the grand entrances smooth, and it turned out to be a big highlight of our wedding. DJ Leeds even helped us out by starting our slideshow for us on our computer since we didn't have anyone else to run it for us. Another way he went above and beyond!I also had a very specific song clip from a TV show I wanted for when I walked down the aisle, and he got the clip with no problem. His music selection is great, his emcee skills are top notch, and most importantly, he's very professional and easy to work with. DJ Leeds is amazing!!!! He did our wedding reception earlier this month and his set blew my mind. The process with him is super helpful and he's so considerate - he takes the time to meet with you beforehand to get to know you and your spouse's music taste, no matter how diverse it is. He even has an easy to use website to put down what songs we'd like, what songs for which portion of the reception, what songs we don't want played, etc. We sent him a playlist of what our music taste is like, and he made it into an incredible set at the reception I literally did not get off the dance floor until the end. He even took some of my requests during the reception and mixed it in so well. He always replied to my emails in a timely matter and is just overall amazing, our guests loved him! My husband and I hired David to DJ our wedding after originally hiring a different DJ who we just did not have a good feeling about. We said goodbye to that deposit and hired David without looking back, and are SO glad we did. We went with David after doing some research on Wedding Wire. David worked within our budget and supplied fantastic music and lighting services. We had a variety of music requests (we had a Disney themed wedding and asked him to have each couple in our wedding party to be introduced in the grand entrance to a different Disney song). DJ Leeds recently did our wedding and he was AWESOME! A lot of my guests mentioned how great our DJ was. He helped everything run so smoothly and he had the dance floor rocking all night long! He was just the right amount of DJ- not at all cheesy- very much in background. David was the DJ for our wedding on 3/18/2017 and absolutely killed it. Not only did he help out the whole time, but we gave little to no direction for the music other than entrance song, exit song and first dance. David GETS IT for real. We basically said " oh, I'm not sure, hopefully people will make requests we grew up in the 90's so stuff like that" and he ran with it in a really good way. He took requests and understood our vibe really well and really fast. If I could give more than 5 stars, this is me trying to do that. He set up and broke down without anyone noticing, had super high quality gear (myself and some of my friends are into audio stuff for work and play) and was mixing on the spot like a pro. I would recommend David / DJ Leeds to anyone having any event of any kind if they want top superior quality audio. DJ Leeds was the best!!! Since I work full time, I was able to do all my communication with him through e-mail. I got married at Mt. Woodson which is different in the sense that he had to set up his table in 3 different spots. The ceremony was perfect, the played the songs exactly the way I wanted. He took the time to talk to be before the grand entrance to ensure he pronounced our names correctly. During dinner he had music playing for all our guests to hear. He was able to MC our speeches and everyone could hear them. We moved inside the castle where the real party began. He played all the songs i requested along with others that kept people dancing. He is affordable and truly a great guy to work with! I would highly recommend him to anyone. Before the wedding i filled out a questionnaire that laid out all the songs and when i wanted them played. Everything was perfect, he also gave me recommendations on numerous songs to play. DJ Leeds was an amazing DJ for our wedding; we had guests dancing until after midnight! Not only did Dave take the time to meet with us to go over our reception timeline prior, but he also offered valuable suggestions on how to make our night even better. Also, Dave was on top of every email question--and I emailed a lot of them--every text and provided a questionnaire for us to fill out. This was nice so he could get to know us a little better, understand what our music tastes were and what our overall vision was for our wedding. Dave was the best DJ ever! We've been to quite a few weddings in the past few years and have seen the good, the bad and the really bad. Dave is by far the best choice! His online worksheet was very helpful and easy to access. We were able to change songs whenever we wanted.He is not cheesy in any way a wedding DJ can be.

Leading up to the event he was super responsive, sent out helpful forms to make sure all of our "must play" songs were included and planned a meeting to check out the venue so he could know the layout and be ready to help out with lighting on the day of. DJ Leeds worked our 13 year old son's birthday party and did a wonderful job.  He played all the kids requests, clean versions of the top hits of the day and the past several years.  He could sense what the crowd wanted to hear.  He was very professional (sends an online contract, has you complete a form detailing the event, what music you want played, etc.) and also very flexible - we had our party on a boat cruising through San Diego Bay and it was no problem for him.  Highly recommend!
