What do you love most about your job?
It's so rewarding! We've seen Common Entrance, GCSE & A-level students achieve better grades in their language exams & secure places at new schools, Sixth form & uni. People with holiday homes abroad & families re-locating overseas have also gained confidence and developed practical language skills. The Conversation Classes have led to great friendships & real improvement. It's hard to learn a language on your own, but learning in a group or with a dedicated tutor is fun, empowering & easier than you think!
What inspired you to start your own business?
After six years living with my young family in Madrid, we returned to Barnes in 2009. In today's globalized society, languages are an invaluable asset.
As a French graduate from Exeter University, with over 25 years experience working in education & PR, I wanted to help Londoners learn a language. learnthelingo is a boutique tutoring agency dedicated to languages. We generate results by matching each student with the best tutor. We've helped over 200 students boost their language skills, including Mandarin Pre-U student, French holiday home owners, Turkish to family relocating to Istanbul & Spanish IB for Oxbridge entry.
