LD Photography

The heart of any great photographer is their ability to capture a moment.  If they have an eye for a particular look or feel, that's great too, but only every so often do you see someone who can truly tell a story and capture a subject's soul.  With LD, you get that kind of photography. We've used Laura on several different occasions all for vastly different reasons.  Laura initially was hired to do a "boudoir" shoot with my husband as a birthday gift to me. I would review those photos, but that would be a little too personal and as much as I love my Yelp followers, none of you are privy to THAT level of intimacy. ;)Laura also got some awesome shots of our little babies... We have an English and two French bulldog who are total camera hams. She did an awesome job at capturing their little personalities and we proudly display those beautiful pictures in our living area. Most recently, this past fall, Laura met me and my family at Boulder Falls for a photo shoot mainly showcasing my 2 year old niece and all her beauty. The plan had been to not only get candid family photos, but also give us physical memories that highlight what it means to be a family. Laura was able to capture many moments shared between each of us, and she also provided helpful suggestions to maximize the impact of every photo. It was great to see her work so flawlessly with a 2 year old who has a reputation of being quite the little Mariah Carey, if you know what I mean. Laura is terrific.  When my fiancé and I first started looking at photographers for our wedding, I stumbled upon her website when looking for "affordable photographers in Denver", and low and behold but as I was clicking through her gallery I saw some familiar faces!  A childhood friend of mine had used Laura for their wedding as well.  They had nothing but good things to say about Laura, so we set up a meeting and she was so relaxed, down to earth, kind, and easy to chat with.  And her price was very right for our wedding budget, so we went ahead and booked.  We did an engagement shoot with her as well to get a feel for her photographing style, and she was really flexible to what we wanted, which was very non-traditional.  I wish that we had broken the ice a little more with the engagement shoot, maybe had a couple beers first to relax, haha!  But regardless she was really flexible and responsive and got some great photos for us and sent us her edited prettied up versions within just a week or two.  Then on top of that, she agreed to do a shoot with me and my bridesmaids for the Maxfund as a way to promote donations in lieu of traditional wedding gifts and the pictures turned out beautifully!  It was better than I could have hoped for.  Her pricing is great, her skills behind the camera are great, she is simply great.  Day-of for our wedding we did have a hiccup with late arrival due to her car having troubles, which did result in us missing some portrait shots with the wedding party that I would have liked and wished we could have gotten, but what photos she did get of our wedding really captured a very memorable day and were delightful.  Thanks Laura! We are so glad we chose Laura to be our wedding photographer. She was was always available to answer questions before the wedding and helped us feel relaxed on our wedding day. A few weeks ago a good girlfriend of mine showed me some photos that she had done for her husband. It was a boudoir shoot so very sexy, but done in a very tasteful manner. I was extremely impressed with the photos and decided to use Laura for my business head shots. I really enjoyed shooting with LD. Laura is extremely professional and warm at the same time. She has a great eye for detail and even helped me style some of my looks. I am extremely particular.  Laura listened to my every request when it came to touchups and was able to produce the final result that I was looking for. I will definitely be hiring LD in the future for any photography needs that I may have.
