What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
My secret for taking a great photograph is getting to know my clients. During our pre photo session I ask lots of questions, and listen to the answers. This starts the creative process for me. As I listen to what the client is looking for, I start planning photos that I'll take during our session. For example, one of my clients wanted a photo session where there was a beautiful panorama of mountains in the background. After researching locations in the area, the client and I settled on Fort Mountain State Park. The results are in the photographs.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Questions are an important part of my photo sessions. I want to know what they are looking for, what type of photos. For example, on a recent graduation photo shoot, the client didn't want the traditional cap and gown, but wanted the photos in their own back yard (which was gorgeous!). It's listening to the answers that forms the photos.
What do you love most about your job?
Capturing the photos that my clients love and want to share with their friends and family. The photos that when they look back on over the years, will remind them of the moment when the photo was taken. I love capturing the intimate expression between two people or the expression when a person speaks of what they love. Photography has been a passion of mine for over 20 years. I started taking pictures in the film era, when you didn't have all the tools today to enhance photos. In fact, the less I have to process a digital image the better. My goal is to get the composition and lighting right when the photo is being taken. I am an observer of light (think Thomas Kincaid, Ansel Adams), and how it looks in the images.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Photography has been my love and passion for many years. There is something special about the photograph that evokes a memory or emotion with one look. After years of taking photos at various events, and being asked to take family photos, I decided it was time to transfer my passion into a business. LC Photograph is the dream of the owner, Linda. As they say, when you work your passion, it's not work at all, it's what you love to do.
Why should our clients choose you?
Searching for a photographer can be daunting. This is where LC Photography comes in. With years of experience, Linda pays attention to the details. During our pre-photo session/event consultation, she asks lots of questions and listens to what her clients want. During the session/event, Linda works her magic and captures the photos. The final product is one that her clients are proud to share with their family and friends.

Sessions can be scheduled on location! Or sessions can be scheduled in the studio. At the studio we use sanitizer between sessions. All sessions are by appointment only so we can limit the number of people in the studio at one time.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Photography - we're so familiar with cell phones, however, with my equipment, I can safely stay greater than 6 feet away for stunning portraits. This can be accomplished either on location or in the studio.
Professional Head Shot
Professional or Business Headshots are delivered in high res and social media formats. Includes one color and one black and white image.
Business Branding
Business branding is all about your business and creating images that represent your brand. These are longer sessions, usually up to 3 hours. Done either in the studio or at your location.
Family Portraits
Family Portraits are either in the studio or on location. These are fun filled sessions all about your family.
Visits with Santa Portraits
The holiday isn't complete without the Visit with Santa Portrait Sessions. Children of all ages have the opportunity to visit with Santa in his magical winter garden. Smiles and laughter abound. Sessions are 15 minutes, fresh from the oven cookies, and more!
