Mark visited us for the first time in February to look at our very poor lawn, which in fact was more moss than grass. It's now June and he has performed a miracle, we have a thick green lawn which looks incredible. Would definitely recommend Mark, he is extremely knowledgeable and is always happy to give advice. I brought in Mark last spring having had a slight accident in applying fertilizer on my back lawn also the lawn had been going downhill for a couple of years or so. Seeing it now, it does not seem the same lawn.Mark carried out scarifying, hollow tining, over seeding and applied dressings at the right time and in the right quantities!! It has just had its final winter treatment for the year and will be assessed early next spring for the 2018 treatment. Our lawn has been struggling to cope with the effects of our female Spaniel creating brown patches for years, and was sparsely covered in other parts, due to sun / shade issues in different parts of the garden. Mark came over and quickly presented his proposals, which involved a step-by-step approach over the season - scarify / hollow-tine / fertilise / re-seed, which we have now had completed over recent months, such that the treatments can be easily appreciated.It hasn't been plain sailing, but Mark has persisted and often gone the extra mile, e.g. when man-handling a heavy machine up our narrow steps, or offering ad hoc / follow-up advice by phone / text along the way to ensure that we obtained a satisfactory result.Mark has been a pleasure to deal with and I am happy that we have been able to support a local business getting underway.I would have no hesitation in recommending Lawn Crew to anyone who wishes to have a professional solution to their lawn problems. Mark did a great job of overhauling our lawn. We have so much moss from years of neglect. The initial report outlined the reasons with thatch build up and compaction the main issues. (The moss thrives in this environment.) After applying lawn sand and then scarifying, bags upon bags of moss were removed. Then came the soil preparation (hollow tinning) and then seeding and feeding. I'm sure there were plenty of other tricks mark used too. Within 6 weeks, we had new grass where the moss had been and the whole lawn looked so much better. Mark hollow tined, fertilised and reseeded my front and rear lawn. There were some areas under trees that historically were bare patches due to a lack of light and moisture, but Mark found a species of grass that was suited to these conditions and now it looks great! Loads of the neighbours have commented how good it looks, and I know at least one of the neighbours has also engaged him! More...

I came across Lawn Crew after a disastrous time with another firm(they shall remain unknown). My lawn is relatively large(225 sq Ft) and I've been having real issues with the state of the lawn, patches everywhere and generally in a bad way. I was recommended by my neighbour, told to ask for Mark. Mark came over and immediately I found him personable,trust worthy and friendly. I needed Someone trustworthy after my last dealings! Mark explained what I needed to do in simple, easy to understand langauage( I'm an old codger!) over the next few months Mark treated the lawn like his own. Fast forward to now, my lawn is looking brand new! It's fresh, easy to mow and the bald patches have gone.I never really review(can barely use a computer) but felt that I ndeed to give credit where it is due.Would highly recommended just giving him a call and getting a lawn inspection done. We engaged Lawn Crew to help us recover our large lawn. It had been suffering for neglect over many years. We got our free lawn analysis which explained exactly where we had been going wrong ( e. g. cutting too short ), why moss was growing, what the soil balance and structure was and more. We were very impressed with the written report which outlined exactly what needed to be done and that it would take several seasons to get our lawn back to the level we desired.
