Mr. Walker was a nice man but he seemed annoyed with me when we talked. I did have to call back a few times before I got ahold him so that might be the reason why. We spent 10 mins in the phone but didn't really ask me questions about my case. But he did give some advice on how to deal with my situation. I would have given him a 5 stars if I felt I was being heard and not rushed off the phone. Nonetheless, it may have been bad timing on my part and not patient to let him return my call. More...

I just called Mr. Walker's office, and, to my surprise, was able to speak to him immediately. He listened to my story about a recent employment issue I had, and explained where I might and might not have legal recourse. He listened patiently, explained things in an easy to understand way,  and even though it did not appear I had any case for litigation at this point, he didn't try to rush me off the phone, and even gave me some very appreciated advice about steps I could take.Even though I didn't enter into any sort of agreement for service with Mr. Walker, I thought it important to share my experience so that others might find it helpful when seeking legal aid with their issue. Tom was very insightful and got straight to the point. I did a complimentary legal consult with him over the phone. He provided me with all the information I needed to move forward with claiming illegal wage deductions that weren't stated in my contract. Emailed about advice regarding a severance agreement and whether it was worth bringing an age discrimination complaint to the DFEH.  Tom advised against it but suggested that I try and negotiate something additional to my severance package.  He referred me to his website which has tons of useful information.  I emailed back the company and proposed several additional company-paid months of COBRA which they agreed to.  Thanks Tom! Thomas Walker is a great attorney. I explained a wrongful termination problem to him and he immediately understood the situation and had the experience and skills to suggest a course of action that would be the absolute best. He says it like it is, and I have great confidence that he will send you in the right direction. I was terminated from a company which offered a good package to leave quietly during an executive shake-up -- but not a great package. I contacted Tom via email and explained the situation. He assessed my options and recommended I gently push back, but not so much as to jeopardize the offer on the table. I didn't get anywhere. Then, after further consideration, he contacted me again and suggested I write a complete letter to the SVP of HR (of a company with 150,000 people working as employees or contractors) explaining my request but not threatening, as a last resort. (What have you got to lose?) I didn't expect much and didn't hear anything back. But on the day I signed my exit paperwork, I got a call from a junior HR person saying to wait for new paperwork - which gave me everything I asked for, and - bonus - changed the policy to the benefit of everyone in the company who faced a similar situation! Tom Walker represented me after I was harrassed at work for a lengthy period of time and was unable to tolerate the enviornment.  I worked for a large, national company.  HR was not my friend.  I finally got the nerve up to take action and resolve this negative work enviornment.  I called Tom.  He had previously assisted a relative to make a clean break when she was the CEO of a financial institution.  His positive results in negotiating a severance convinced me to retain Tom for my situation.If you need an excellent, seasoned, reality based, understanding,  attorney to represent you (the employee) I can only say Tom Walker is the best you can get.He got results.  He told me the truth about what to expect.
