I moved into my home in the Spring of 2016 and with my third baby on the way, really wanted to get my living room and dining room in order prior to baby's arrival! I had specific needs for how I wanted to use my formal living room space, and also was working on a budget. Lex was awesome - she took time to visit my home and to look over idea boards I had put together and she offered several furniture layout options. After the furniture was selected, she did an awesome job with art, pillows, shelf styling etc. I really appreciated her editing what I had and adding items to make my area have a more professionally decorated look. I still love spending time in this space more than a year later, and am always receiving compliments on the space. I would most definitely hire Lex again for any future projects I may have! More...

I'm so glad I worked with Lex for this renovation! I don't have a ton of time everyday to make every little decision about rugs, blinds, chairs, etc. , so I just showed her some of my favorite rooms from Houzz and told her to take the wheel, and I'm so glad I did. From the exterior brick to the master bathroom, she handled it all. She included me on big decisions that would affect the budget, but was autonomous and perfect with the smaller decisions. Without Lex, this renovation wouldn't have been the breeze that it ended up being. Lex and LAVA will undoubtedly be my first and last call when it comes to future renovations or design help. More...

The investment in LAVA Home Design was worth. every. penny. Renovating our boxy kitchen, living room, dining room, den and both master and guest bathrooms while living in our basement with 2 kids and a dog could have been a nightmare. I'm happy to say that it wasn't! I feel confident that the money invested in hiring professional designers saved us money in the end. Kelly was amazing to work with, was very responsive and helped us merge ideas so that my husband and I would both be happy with the results. The contractor they brought on board was amazing as well and I've recommended him to several people since. Everyone was very responsive and in the end we could not be happier with the results. Great designers listen first, then design to what they heard. Lex did this very thing when she worked on our house. She was very good about taking our input and using it to inform the designs she brought to the table. She was also very collaborative during the process and took our input on finishes, paint colors and furniture. She was great to work with and the finished product was better than we anticipated it would be. I would give her two snaps and a twist! More...

My boyfriend and I have completely different tastes. He's a country boy and I'm a city girl. Lex did such an amazing job suggesting things that catered to both of our tastes as well as compromises along the way. She was diligent and very personable. I had the pleasure of working with Lex recently when redecorating my new home. I wanted something eclectic, cozy and livable, but not cluttered- as I can tend to be. She did a fantastic job editing what I alread had and adding key new peices seamlessly. She selected new furniture and fresh paint for several rooms in my house. I would say she gave me exactly what I wanted, and things I didn't even know I wanted. She managed to do all of this on a manageable budget as well! Thanks Lex! More...
