UNENGAGED AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I was a chronically ill wife caring for my terminally ill husband with young adult children in the throes of grief. After seven family therapy sessions, I learned that Levine was completely ignoring my emails, outside of scheduling confirmations, and she never read my intake form where she asked what I was hoping to get out of therapy. She took no responsibility for getting up to speed with a new client. Consequently, our sessions were more that unproductive, they were excruciating painful and caused additional harm to a family already in crisis given she was unprepared and clueless each and every session. She spent the last 10 minutes of our last session (Friday at 4pm) cleaning up her office, putting pens away, reading papers on her desk, and then pushing back her chair to file the papers on her bookshelves while I sat in a sea of tears. She kept watching the clock while giving us a countdown and kept saying, “I’m hanging up at 4:50 pm, no matter what.” She was completely unengaged in my family’s crisis and beyond unprofessional. Laurie is a skilled and compassionate therapist. She is engaging and warm and has a great sense of humor that she uses to help you feel comfortable. She is non-judgmental yet she always gives honest feedback. I highly recommend Laurie to anyone looking for a great therapist. More...

I saw Laurie for about six months. She is a very pleasant and upbeat person and was a joy to talk to each session. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a therapist.
