If I could give The Laundromat 4.5 stars I would. On one hand, the atmosphere is absolutely lovely and the live music is great, but it took more than ten minutes for me to flag down a bartender to ask a question. It was also super crowded and deafeningly loud. Wasn't my thing, but my friends really enjoyed the vibe and the drinks. But it's definitely a good experience, so I would totally give it a try if you're in the area just to check the space out. Very unique. More...

You need to witness!! You'll come for the speakeasy but you'll stay for the live music and the host's facemelting solos! Only bad thing is that there's no food, but you can order up the street and bring it over, so it's a small inconvenience! Shout out to Stevie! More...

Cool place. Loved the live music and the bartenders were awesome, specifically Kelly. I really liked how it felt like a speakeasy from back in the day. Will be back to grab a drink again in the future! More...

I'm a huge fan of speakeasy style bars. This one is neat - you enter through a laundromat, push through swinging doors disguised as washing machines, and walk down the stairs into a dark speakeasy. The only downfall is the bouncer who is stationed outside the Laundromat - makes it a little obvious you're not here for laundry.Prices are high - you're paying for the ambiance. Expect NYC style pricing - $15+ for cocktails. I am very glad I finally visited here, however due to prices I'm not sure I'll visit again. It's a special occasion place, for sure. If I go again, it will be to bring out-of-town guests to have a fun experience, then head to any one of a dozen other bars within walking distance for a more sensibly priced drink. More...

Definitely got the speakeasy vibe upon walking in here. While others have mentioned it doesn't beat some spots in NYC, you can't possibly compare Morristown to NYC. As a native New Yorker myself, I've experienced my fair share of speakeasies in the city and they're usually a hit or a miss. Despite being a little fastidious when it comes to speakeasies, I was truly impressed with the entrance, vibe, service but most importantly the drinks at this spot. And based on the line forming outside of the bar, I could tell it was a favorite for many. By the time we got down there it was pretty packed, but not to the point where people were stepping on each other or couldn't breathe. The most unique thing about Laundromat were the cute water barrels interspersed throughout the bar on the lower level for those lightweights who needed some hydration. It's annoying having to ask bartenders for water so this was actually a super clever idea. My only suggestion would be for the DJ-to be open to song requests! For a Saturday night, the last thing I wanna hear is Taylor Swift, instead play some more mainstream rap music! Hope to be back soon :) More...

Beer selection is decent here and they usually have a live band playing, but tends to be on the earlier side 7-10pm. Check the laundromat's website ahead of time for entertainment schedule.

First off, this is not a real laundromat! I walked in to do some laundry and when I pulled on the machine door to open it, the whole wall pulled open! I look through the doorway and find a massive beautiful chandelier, with stairs that go down to an incredible speakeasy! Needless to say, I wasn't doing laundry anymore that day.The place looks awesome inside, and I felt like I was underdressed for the occasion. I recommend something a little classy. There are two big bars and lots of seating, with some being wood log tables and 2 leather couches. I'm sure they'll make you whatever drink you want, and I doubt there are a lot of drinks that the bartenders don't know how to make, but I recommend you stick with their menu of special drinks. Personally, South Side Mistress is my favorite so far. The staff isn't uptight or condescending, like some speakeasys are. Just a great place to be. If you like a great mixed drink and are looking for a unique place to have a unique drink, this is the place. More...
