My wife and I finished with The Makers Festival across the street and before our hour drive home decided to pop in for a meal. What a surprise as this little strip mall restaurant really impressed us. Found this gem with my husband on our way home to Long Island from Wading River, NJ. Was on GSP and googled nearby restaurants. Latino Flavor Grille popped up and being that I am Latina and my husband loves Latin food, we decided to give it a try. When we first walked in it looked clean but didn't have much decor on the walls. It looked kind of bare. I did notice that there were white tablecloths and orchid flowers waiting to be set up so I'm sure it looks very pretty once set up. The young gentleman that too our order was pleasant and answered all the questions we had about the food. We ordered takeout so we can hit the road again. Hubby ordered a steak burrito with oaxaca cheese, lettuce and guacamole. He absolutely loved it and said it was delicious. He only ate half and is saving the other half for when we get home. Burrito came with a side of pickled red cabbage and pico de gallo. I ate that and enjoyed it. I ordered the Cubano with fries and wow! The pernil was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The ham slices were thick and grilled. It has the right amount of mustard on it and the bread was grilled perfectly. Wasn't greasy or messy at all. The fries are the kind my husband and I love and we shared those. Again, not greasy at all. Overall we had a great experience and decided to stop here more often when visiting the area. I hope the people of Manahawkin know what delicious Latin food they have available to them at a very reasonable price. Our bill came out to $21. Simple inside but the food is where it's at! Wonderful flavors and a nice little bit of variety. My 10 year old son got the chicken burrito and ate half of the gigantic portion, he loved it! I had carne asada tacos with their homemade hot sauce and it was also delicious. Chips with fresh guac was our appetizer and you could absolutely tell it was freshly made. We sat there watching all the delicious dishes that others were getting and will definitely be back to try some of those! More...

This place is utterly fantastic. I ate here today and had a burrito bowl. The staff was super fun, as I had asked for extra spicy sauce, and they brought a sauce that was wrought from the fires of hell. It was amazing. But the bowl itself—absolutely fantastic. Recommend to by a friend who said they never had a meal they didnt like. Dinner was delicious! Being puerto rican I know good pernil and this was good pernil! My friends had the chciken enchiladas and chciken cubano and everyone said everthing was so tasty and great. We also tried the appetizers of cubano tostones with ropa veija deffiantly amazing and the corn empanadas with shredded beef inside so good. Meals come with soup and salad. Love this place! My family and I are regulars and have never had a meal that was not great! A few of our favorites are: adobo chicken tacos, all of their salads, empanadas (definitely try), enchiladas, burritos (can't be beat for the price), and their flan.

I can't say enough good things about this place. It's the definition of a hidden gem. My whole family loves it and everyone I have taken here loves it. Easily worth the trip off island just to go here.The first dish I got here, I thought I would never get anything else, but literally everything is better than the next.
