I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Maureen Smith and I am the founder of Last Stop Counselling Services . I have been a counsellor/ Physiotherapists for over 17 years.
The counselling model I work with is integraive. It allows me to customise therapy to suit the client's I needs. It's ethos is based on the belief that each client is unique. I lean heavily on the CWR model. It is a blend of the following approaches: Psychodynamic, Person-centered and CBT. I use the CWR model as a diagnostic tool, as a way of assessing the clients Emotional, Rational., Volitional, Physical and Spiritual areas of functioning. It also allows space for directive and non-directive intervention. In addition to this, I work with the Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy established by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
