Dave and his team helped me with a backyard project that involved substantial demolition of existing concrete/patio cover/plants and installation of new pavers, retaining walls, and even a small fence. He was always very responsive and went above and beyond to get the job done to my specifications. He was up front with what parts of the job he could do vs what was better left to someone else. He also regularly came to oversee the progress of the work in person.  Dave's team was always on time everyday and worked diligently on the job. They also did a great job cleaning up afterwards. David and his crew did an awesome job making our backyard into a new beautiful, usable space. We originally had plans from a landscape architect, but their bid was over our budget. David was able to work with us to preserve the original ideas, but work within our budget. They installed grass, patio area, fire pit, water fountain, and all the plants and trees we requested. David is a pleasure to work with - super accommodating, on time, happy to work within our budget, with a very professional and skilled crew. He was flexible in accommodating us as we updated our project a few times as we progressed and added different options. We were able to shop around and order and buy some of our own materials as we desired, and he was willing to pick them up if needed, and install them for us. His crew leader, Obed, was great at giving us advice and carrying out our wishes. I was able to show them pictures of ideas, and they made it happen. We hired Estate Scapes to completely redo the irrigation and landscaping in our front yard and backyard.   We wanted to cut way back on the amount of grass that we had in the front and make our landscape more drought tolerant.  I drew Dave a footprint of what we wanted and I have to say he and his guys pretty much executed it perfectly.   Once they get started on the job, they move very quickly.   They took our front yard from dead grass and overgrown shrubs to brand new sod and plants in 1.5 weeks.  They put in a decomposed granite pathway in the front and even refurbished the one I put in myself in the back.  I didn't ask them to do that but they did anyway.  There was a misunderstanding with the way the sprinklers were supposed to work in the backyard, and Dave made it right immediately.  I really appreciated that about his company: not only did they fix the problem but they did it quickly.  We'll definitely rehire Dave and Estate Scapes when we're ready to redo or hardscaping.  We really enjoyed working with them and are very pleased with the results:) More...

We had a very small piece of grass in the back and they removed it and put in a large paver patio with a water feature and great planting spaces. This is a incredible company- no exaggeration! They completed our hillside steps( very steep) and back retaining wall within 2-3 days. Both projects are perfect and Dave ( owner) and Obed ( foreman) kept in close contact and inspected all phases. We actually found David on Thumbtack. He's super nice and really easy to work with. His pricing is also very competitive - he was able to work with us to get costs within budget. He also stands by his work with warranties on his plants and irrigation.We had him completely redo the front and backyards, including building 3 vegetable boxes, digging new irrigation, installing 2 rows of vines with trellising, and finally replacing the side fence and gate.We are definitely happy with the quality of work and can't wait to see how our garden will look in the coming years.There were just a couple paperwork issues, but not dealbreakers. I would recommend you either overcommunicate your expectations and maybe exchange numbers with the on-site crew chief in case any questions arise. More...

Estate Scapes finished my drainage project yesterday.  I was extraordinarily pleased with all aspects of the project. Prompt initial response, prompt bid for work to be done, on time actual start and finish date ! !! Estate Scapes did a great job on a major front yard landscaping project. David outbid another landscaping company (better price, better timeline and better materials) and helped me through every step of the way during next 2 and a half weeks. Project included removing old lawn from my pretty big front yard, removing 4 or more inches of soil from large portion of the yard for better drainage and to make it level with house foundation, building a split rail fence with 9 hand-made stone veneer columns and redwood 4x4 railing, installing artificial turf on roughly half the are of the yard, installing bender-board curves and about 5 tonnes of cobble stone on and around the yard per my design, installing stone veneer along entire front of the house (80 linear feet, about 3 feet high), planting a maple tree and 40 plants, removing old irrigation/sprinkler system and installing new drip irrigation system for all the plants, covering rest of the yard with some mulch, trimming 4 large trees (1 in front 3 in the back yard). Crew (usually 3 or 4 guys) was on time every morning. David was there every day in the morning and often throughout the day, he would always answer all my questions immediately via phone, email or text. He and the guys from his crew would also always ask me questions in a very timely matter to make sure we are on the right track. As one typical detail I'd like to note the quality and level of detail of the stone veneer work especially on the side of the house where I have all the meters and panels and cables and pipes sticking out of the wall. They really took time to cut stone as much as was needed to cover every inch of the wall - came out nicer than I expected. And that's how they approached everything. Couldn't be happier! More...

It was a pleasure working with Dave from beginning to end on this project.  We had been completely hosed by a previous contractor and the Estate Scapes team really stepped up and fixed our mess for a very decent price.  What we found most surprising and refreshing is the communication we received from beginning to end.  He said he would show up at a certain time and he did.  He said he'd give a quote on a certain date and he did.  If we had a question, Dave responded immediately.  He kept us well informed during the entire project.  Looking forward to working with this team again in the very near future on a bigger project. I hired David and his crew to replace my driveway and install deck with arbor.  I have to say I am very impressed by the work.  After getting several quotes, David came in with the most reasonable prices and best timeline.  They started the exact day they promised and worked practically every day until the job was complete.The new paver driveway is amazing!  I found a very unique layout of pavers to install and with 5 sizes and 3 colors.  They were able to replicate what I had found and even improved upon it.  In addition, they were able to fix the drainage issues I had experienced from my previous driveway with a dry well.The deck and arbor are beautiful!  Without flinching after the driveway was installed, David and his crew continued immediately on the deck and got it done in record time.David and his crew were a pleasure to work with and I would definitely hire them again for any of my future outdoor projects. I interviewed several contractors to put in a patio for me.  As soon as I met Michael I liked him very much. He is not pushy and has a very gentle manner but knows all you need to know in a business like this. His work crews are as professional as they come. The job was started on Tuesday morning and finished by Thursday evening. He has 3 different crews, each one specializing in putting the pavers in perfectly. They took out some trees as well that were in the way of the cement without additional charge. The crews worked from 8am till 7pm daily. I am so happy with my new patio. You will love yours too. David provided us with a lot of information up front to ensure we were getting the best value for our money.  His sensible recommendations were greatly appreciated throughout the whole process. His crew was very respectful of our property, and took the time to remove the traces of previous landscaping projects that had been done at our 60 year old home (and there was a lot of them!).  The crew always showed up on time every day and were working hard to get our project done on time.  Any work that was subcontracted out was done with the same level of attention and respect.David is easy to reach and very easy to talk to - throughout the whole project, he was willing to accommodate ideas that we had (within reason of course), and he still takes our calls for any questions or concerns we have.  There's not much left to do in our yard - but if we do ever decide to change anything, we know who we'll call.
