Really don't bother. They're middlemen who put you in touch with allegedly trust worthy engineers, who they quickly through under a bus when there's an issue. I am also not sure how good they're 'professionals' are. Their quotes for remedial work are consistently higher than independents and I do genuinely offer no value to anyone (except for the fact they skim profit for themselves). Advice : shop around with tradespeople who are recommended, get three quotes and hope for the best ! What I'm quite quickly understanding is as a non-tradesperson you're seen as an open cheque book. I made the terrible mistake of ordering an electric report from Landlord Certificates. The result was a horror movie. Never mind that they didn't turn up at the agreed time. Even when they did turn up, they didn't do the agreed inspection. When I complained, they didn't offer correcting their mistake (!!). Instead, they wanted me to pay extra because they did an inspection I didn't book (!!!!). When I complained again, after queuing on the phone several times, they gave me a time for another visit, but they didn't turn up during that time either (!!!!!). The engineer rang me later and said that he can only turn up much later, and when I was trying to add some detail, he refused to let me speak and asked me to "shut the fuck up". They just need to inform the gas engineers about the expiry dates of the existing certificates before inspections so that the corresponding expiry dates will be reflected in the new ones. Thank you
