All the people at lab athletics are great. It is a good program that gets results. Simply do what they tell you and you will get results. I decided it wasn’t exactly the fit for me, but would absolutely still recommend this place to people wanting something different from a traditional gym! More...

I love this place! The workouts are awesome and the trainers do a great job of encouraging you and watching to make sure you addre executing the moves with proper form to avoid injury. They are also knowledgeable enough to modify anything you need if you have a current injury. The trainers have an incredible ability to remember your name and make you feel welcome every time! I highly recommended Lab Athletics. When I first signed up for the 6 week challenge I was nervous because I hadn’t worked out for 4 years due to lack of motivation and energy but I am so glad I did. I just finished the 6 week challenge and it was transcending. I’m the girl who ate Raisin Bran for dinner and never cooked. Lab Athletics taught me how to eat healthy, portion control and the necessity of adding weights to my work out routine. The classes were different each week which kept things interesting and all the staff are committed to helping each member reach their individual goal. A HUGE THANK YOU to Jake Brogg and Yehlenn Ebbay and all the trainers at Lab Athletics! At 54 I would never have imagined finding my strongest and most fit body and mind through such simple lifestyle changes! I didn’t know I had 23 lbs and 20% body fat to lose! That was eight pounds and 5% past my goals! Still, the reduction in weight was not why I came to you. I came because my job can be very physical and I was told “Get strong now, or keep getting injured!” In my work I need to be able to move quickly, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds if needed at the drop of a hat. Doesn’t sound like a tall order but as time has marched on I’ve watched my strength and fitness level shift dramatically-not in a good direction. I knew what I needed to do but had no idea how to start. Thankfully I found Lab Athletics! And despite my physical challenges and needs, you welcomed me with a “can do, body positive, welcoming and inclusive” safe space to work at my own pace and toward my personal best. With your guidance I was able to: set realistic goals; begin a safe, nutritionist developed, simple and balanced nutrient rich meal plan that can be used eating in or out; and feel consistently encouraged, inspired and supported in a fun, safe, inclusive community! Clearly I am a dedicated fan of Lab Athletics! All of the trainers are experts and are equally engaging and fun! I am well supported in each class I attend. The trainers are ready and able to help me adapt any exercise my body can’t -or isn’t ready- to do. When I leave I feel successful, refreshed and stronger! After my now 3 months working out with you I have been amazed thinking about when I started and how far I’ve come. In the beginning, I wasn’t able to do even one push-up or pull myself up on a bar. Now among many accomplishments, I CAN do 50 adapted pull-ups and 15 real push-ups without other supports! Thank you Jake Brogg and Yehlenn Ebbay and all of the trainers (Lor, Bri, Bethany and Nathan) for providing the welcoming and inclusive space at Lab Athletics. You welcome and celebrate everyone –everyone, with all of our differences and needs. And on the most personal note, thank you for inspiring and leading me in this part of my next journey in life. I did the “free” 6 week challenge with a $500 deposit. During the challenge I attended the gym three days a week. The classes sometimes kicked my butt, but they got easier. The instructors Brit and Bethany are great! High energy and learned my name quickly. I learned some new exercises which is great. The food plan was really hard for me, personally. I did meet my weight loss goal, but not my body fat % goal. I’m getting my deposit back because this particular gym is not the right fit or me. They did a great job with designing the space, but I need more variety in classes, and prefer a different class structure. More...

This place was recommended to me by a couple people so I decided to give it a try- and I’m so happy I did! The people here are very motivating and actually want you to succeed. I started my journey with lab athletics in January and still with them. started my 2nd challenge. and trying new things for meals. I came in not knowing anything about fitness, eating "healthy" (Spoiler, no not really) and all in all letting myself talk myself out of going to gym, even when I could. Having taken the 6 week challenge all I can say is this place rocks. Beginner friendly, advanced friendly, surrounded by people who care and will actually cheer you on. Even if you have to ask what an exercise is 5 times in a row. (Sorry Nate).The class scheduling is awesome and they'll do what they can to work around your schedule, and a diet plan that was actually realistic.I lost 16 pounds in 6 weeks, and could lift significantly more. The 6-weeks challenge was an amazing experience for me! I did succeed reaching my goal in within 6 weeks. Their meal plans really helped me to open my eyes with what kind of food my body needs. The first 6 weeks is about cleansing the body then slowly reintroduce with few different foods but remain healthy!! The coaches there were amazing especially Jake, Breann, & Yuhleen!! It's worth it - worth the experience - also worth the money. This experience will change your life. The classes are very brutal but they help you to move better and become more active. Try it! By far this has to be the number one place to get fit and healthy! The trainers are like family, everyone from all different walks of life getting real results! I am blown away by my results after only 6 weeks... down 14 pounds and 3% body fat! They really know what they are doing, they work with you individually as well as provide you with meal plans! My best friend and I have talked about working out for about 3 years, we finally started the challenge at Lab Athletics and they made working out fun! I just finished the 6 week challenge!!! This was by far one of the most important and impactful investments I've made on myself. Not only has my body gone through conditioning so has my mentality! Applied knowledge and behavior is one of the most rewarding experiences! I surpassed the goal we set and I feel like a million bucks! I have gained strength, endurance, and an understanding of nutrition. I owe so much of that to the trainers at Lab Athletics. Any time I had a question the trainers were right there to answer and go into depth. They all truly want each and every single individual that walks through their door to SUCCEED! 80% of body transformation depends on nutrition. Lab Athletic's 6 week challenge helped me seriously understand that statement. If you are considering Lab Athletics I highly recommend it. I also just completed my 6 week challenge and exceeded the goals I set for myself. All of the trainers have a different style of coaching, but are all wonderful, and I enjoyed the variety. I have a chronic injury and the coaches did a great job at modifying movements that I couldn't do. As a former crossfitter, I appreciate the lifts and challenging workouts, but the Lab is MUCH safer than crossfit in terms of programming. Finally, Lab Athletics has a good community vibe to it. Lab athletics is a positive and energetic environment for personal growth and community development. I really enjoyed the trainers instruction of exercises and guidance on proper form because it was my first time using free weights. They had a lot of confidence in fitness knowledge and a willingness to share all they know and answer any questions I had. The 6 week challenge seemed really organized, but you’ve got to be extremely committed to it before you start! The downsides for me were difficulty coordinating classes with my schedule, and open gym time was during my work hours. This has been an amazing experience for me, as someone who suffers from chronic pain, I didn’t know if I’d be able to handle the work outs but the trainers are amazing at helping modify an exercise as needed and they are right there the whole time to check your form and and encourage you along the way. By far, Yehleen is the best trainer! She paid close attention to form and was good about giving each individual attention and support. I really enjoyed her classes because the workouts kept a fast pace. Time flew by! For my personal body type, it was easier to lose body fat percentage than the weight itself. I love working out at lab athletics! After completing a couple of challenges with them I have finally found my favorite gym in Bellingham. The trainers are all so welcoming and friendly, as well as the other members that you meet in group training sessions. The workouts are the perfect mix of strength training and cardio, and I always leave feeling challenged, stronger and more confident and knowledgeable than when I walked in that morning. Thank you Lab Athletics for an AMAZING 6 weeks!!! I have reached beyond my weight loss goal, gained so much physical strength in such a short time and discovered a better way of enjoying meals. The team of trainers are the BEST motivators, keep each work out fun while making sure you are working to your ability and working out safely with great form.This was the jump start that I needed to get back on track physically and mentally. I was the heaviest I’ve been in my life. I weighed more than I did last year when I was pregnant!!! I signed on to do a 6 week challenge because I needed both the mental focus to keep going and I really wanted help getting my body back after multiple abdominal surgeries destroyed my core. With the help of the trainers at Lab Athletics, not only did I manage to lose 13 lbs, I am now able to almost do a complete sit-up!!! This is something I've not been able to do in almost 12 years!!! Reluctant to sign on to this. However, I did and had a blast AND also met my goals. I feel so much better!! The instructors are awesome and fun. Signed up for the 6 week boot camp and it was SO FUN! Coming from a sports background the workouts were perfect for targeting every part of your body and multiple parts in the same workout! The trainers were great, super enthusiastic, outgoing and motivating.... even at that 530 am class!!! I would highly recommended if you are wanting to get a jump start on your fitness journey or just overall health for your body and mental health. The group atmosphere is great! Rigorous workout and the instructors are very knowledgeable about how the body and muscles work together. It was a great workout but limited time opportunities to work out and a clean environment was not top priority. Lab Athletics is such a fun place. I did their 6 week challenge and I loved it. The trainers are all awesome, super helpful and have great attitudes. I didn't have alot of experience with weight training and they helped a ton with form and just learning more about the muscles in general. Lor even helped me with some ideas for stretching/rehab when my shoulder started hurting and it was really helpful. All in all this was a very empowering challenge, I wanted to get stronger and really just have fun, and did not want to lose weight, and they were very supportive of my personal goals and helped me to achieve them. I would definitely recommend this place. There were enough options for classes too that it was easy to fit it into my schedule. And they play loud music which makes it fun and made me wanna show up! I LOVE this place!! The trainers are super nice but they still push you to do your best. They teach you the proper technique, the work outs are diverse and hit all the muscles. They have alternative ways of doing harder work outs that still work and they aren't annoyed when you can't do something. The staff is very supportive and easy to talk to. I like that they show you each work out before you do it so you're not wondering what something is. I will be coming back to this place after my vacation to lose the rest of my excess weight! I did the 6 week challenge and had a blast! The trainers really work to suit your needs and offer the best assistance. The really cool part about the gym is the environment. The gym has a lot of equipment for an old school feel and everybody is always helping each other out within the workout. I never felt more comfortable at the gym knowing there were many different shapes and sizes that could do the workouts as well. I lost a total of 24ibs in my experience, the nutrition helping a lot on the customized plans.
