Booked the la Mon for a work event for 170 guests and it was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. This was our forth in a series of events throughout the province and it had the best chicken dinner of them all! Our guests also complimented the venue and food. Level access was great for our guests who were elderly and plenty of space to sit in the foyer with a cuppa. Thanks again for a great day. More...

Lovely building with friendly staff. Food was nice. Only complaint if I had to make one was it's rather pricey. Other than that they hosted a great event for the evening.

Went to La Mon Hotel for Mother's Day Sunday carvery. There was Eleven of us on a really busy day for them. Whilst drinks service was a little slow (it was really busy) there were no issues with getting our starters, mains or deserts. The food was good and always has been at La Mon.
There were extra touches too such as cupcakes with money off vouchers for all the Mums and plenty of entertainment for the kids such as a bouncy castle, face painting and pony rides.

The whole experience at La Mon was fantastic for me and my whole family. We hosted a reception there after my grannies funeral. The staff were very respectful and served us very well. We had a light buffet with sandwiches, chicken bites, tray bakes and scones. All outstanding. More...

Enjoyed a wonderful Sunday carvery lunch with my family. The Mill restaurant at the hotel is beautifully presented and the staff were friendly and helpful. There was a generous selection of starters available covering soups and many different variations of salads including fish, chicken and vegetarian options ensuring there would be something for everyone. The main course selection was equally great with several meats being carved in front of your eyes and tasty sides. Multiple desert choices followed next, the biggest problem was deciding which one to go for. Tea and coffee were served at the end. Considering the amount of food available and wide selection, we all felt we got good value for our money. For a Sunday treat or a special occasion, a visit is definitely recommended. More...

The Sunday Carvery was great. A wide selection for all courses and the food tasted great. It was busy so there was a good atmosphere. The staff were polite and helpful. On Sunday they put on a bouncy castle for the kids. My kids also got their faces painted and balloon models! More...

Went for tea & scones in the morning. Scones were too crumbly and difficult to butter without falling apart. This is a minor niggle, the rest of our experience was top drawer. Staff are friendly and helpful and it is suitable for very young children - there is also a bouncy castle and other activities for the wee ones. Would recommend and I will be back again More...
