I have been going to La Jolie Salon and Spa ever since moving to Princeton, over a year ago. My stylist Ashley, has taken the best care of me and my hair since my very first appointment last August. Ashley is incredibly talented and professional, and I honestly do not know what I would do without her. She has also done my husband's hair and he raved about the shampoo/head message and the perfect cut. If you're looking for a change in hairstylists, or if like me, you have just moved to the area, look no further than Ashley. I have color treated hair as well as extensions, and Ashley can do it all! She gives the most beautiful blowout (which I get weekly) and listens to her client and communicates clearly to make sure her clients get exactly what they envisioned. I've been going to either Ivor or Mahir for years now and have always gotten phenomenal cuts- long and shorter styles. I loathe chatty haircut sessions, and both my usual stylists are warm and friendly without making me feel awkward if I don't want to play shout-obligatory-small-chat-over-the-roar-of-the-hairdryer for 30 minutes. Ali their nail tech is also wonderful and gives FLAWLESS (and I'm picky) manicures that last over a week longer than your typical nail salon's have for me. I had one experience at La Jolie when I was less than thrilled with my cut (my guys were not available and I wanted a last-minute cut for a holiday party) and when I called the salon the next day and expressed my dissatisfaction- they fit me in to have it fixed by my regular stylist for free with no hassle at all.Prices are steep, but it's Princeton, and if you only go 3-4 times a year, you can budget for it. Overall- you're getting what you pay for; it's the experience and professionalism that set La Jolie's upper-tier stylists apart from the rest. More...
