We ordered the cake from La Cakery for my daughter's birthday. The best bit was we ordered last minute, but they agreed to take the order. We rarely order from the places that we haven't tried of or known of, however we took a chance and we were not disappointed at all. If anything we were super impressed by the service and the quality of the cake.The staff was super friendly and really helpful. They did not have the decorations yet for the theme we wanted but offered to do the edible image for us. We received the cake and it was a major hit with everyone. We were not expecting a 10inch cake to be so filling. Usually places give you one layer of sponge cake that is divided into two with frosting in middle, however this was on a different level all together. They had 2 proper sponge layers and the most yummy frosting in middle. The sponge cake was done just right. The kids loved it the most. The frosting was not too sweet, however if you are diabetic, stay away from the frosting hehehe.The color combination of the entire frosting and writing was spot-on. It looked like a water themed cake.I would definitely recommend anyone hoping to get a cake, have it done by these guys. They are amazing at what they do and I am sure you will not be disappointed. We ordered a baby shower cake. Head baker was very helpful helping us select flavours and meeting our needs to match our theme and colours. Pick up time was 11:30 am the day of our shower, but a few days before i requested to pick up earlier, and they were very understanding, which made my day so much easier. I also needed last minute side desserts (literally last minute: asked her at 12:30 noon, and pick up time was 10 am next morning). She was able to do macaroons that went with our colour theme along with our cake. Due to the last minute request, most people may act annoyed and stressed due to it being last minute, but she was happy to help us and told us what she could do and not do due to the amount of time she had. Overall, my guest all loved the cake. I had along of comments along the lines of "wow that filling is so good", "never tasted anything like it" or "whats this filling called, its delicious. I would definitely recommend this place and will be back for any more events, or just went i feel like having cake!! I absolutely love coming to La Cakery, you can tell that the cake designer is truly passionate about her work. The cake I ordered was a Nutella cake, and apart from the fact that it tasted absolutely delicious, it was so beautifully designed.
