I purchased my wife a trip for 2 to Kubu spa as a Christmas present via Groupon. I expected her to take a friend but she insisted I accompanied her. Now spa days are not really anywhere near the top of my list when taking a day off from work so I was somewhat quietly reluctant. As usual my wife was right, what a wonderful experience. The best word I can use to describe it would be indulgent. I usually find it difficult to switch off but found this a wonderful mind clearing experience. Wowsers! This is a hidden gem. Right in the centre of Henley, but once inside you can completely get lost in tranquility. All the three staff we spoke to were lovely and professional . My facial was expertly delivered and let me feeling utterly pampered. The 55 minute treatment included a lengthy head massage and a surprisingly soothing arm massage. I visited KuBu spa for some pampering time with my mum, we both had the Indulgence spa package which involved a message & facial. The treatments were amazing, I wasn’t big on facials beforehand, but after my time at KuBu spa, I have been converted. Megan and Stephanie who performed our treatments were fantastic and really personalised the experience tailoring as necessary to meet our preferences. Lovely decor with classy touches; from the relaxation room to cucumber water and the provided robes. The massage bed is heated! And wide enough so you can roll over feeling like a mermaid rather than a whale. You can choose your oils, pressure and these are all taken into consideration. I had Megan who was perfect in gauging how much to chat or not so I could actually relax. Highly recommend and have booked another already. More...
