First off, let me preface by saying that I am a vendor, DJ in specific. That being said, I am constantly working at different venues all of the time. I've now done 2 weddings at the Sunset Terrace at Stony Creek metro park and can not say enough good things about the staff there from Kosch. Robert Simmons was managing both events and was as good as good as gets at both weddings. Robert went above and beyond at both events to the point that I had to give him and his superb staff a shout out at the end of the evening. His level of professionalism is second to none and he handled any problem that may have flustered an inexperienced manager with the greatest of ease. It's people like Robert that make job that much easier. When I sit down with future brides I will definitely recommend booking at any location Robert and his staff are working. Kosch Catering (Chateau on the River, Trenton) provided services for our high school graduation party.  Because of a building problem sourced to the city of Trenton, we had to change venues the week before our event.  Amber and Jerry at Kosch were exceptionally customer serving in making this change a smooth transition for us and also provided us a credit because of the necessary move.  The food was outstanding and the bar service was extended past the scheduled end time at our request during the event.  Amber and her crew of servers were very helpful and attentive to all of our needs.  Our party was absolutely lovely and a happy event. Kosch Catering …the best customer service experience ever! Their event Specialist, Emily, was professional, communicative and friendly. No matter how many times I emailed or called she was able to help and answered questions. Their payment process was clear, concise and simple. During the planning of our event I could tell that Emily really cared about what we were trying to accomplish. There was so much clarity during this process. Their staff at our venue was amazing as well. During the event I was so busy but they looked after me to make sure I ate. They were sincere about the heavy responsibility I had. This vendor had excellent options for a variety of styles of receptions. We worked with Fran who was awesome. She was very responsive and open to our somewhat non-traditional style. She was great at explaining different options and providing suggestions. She even listed all the foods that were gluten free on our menu upon request (we had a few guests that were gluten free and this really helped them with they food selections). The food was great. We opted for a Detroit themed strolling dinner with food stations inspired by Eastern Market, Greektown and Mexicantown, as well as a Faygo float station (the ground lamb pitas were my favorite). We liked that they offered different food choices in addition to the traditional sit down or family style dinners. The only thing I did not like was that the stations were not always manned, particularly near the end of the dinner so if guests had a question about the food there wasn't always someone to ask and there wasn't always someone there to judge how much food to have out at a time leaving a lot of the food near the end to get cold. But this really only happened at the end of the dinner and no one probably noticed but me. I would have liked the faygo float station to have been manned throughout as well. Once the float materials were set up, the guests were left to build their own floats which left at least one guest spilling soda everywhere. But we all had a good laugh about the spill and the staff cleaned everything quickly and with a smile. I didn't think to ask much about how the stations were manned before the reception and I think if I would have had a discussion about it before the reception, the vendor would have made sure the stations were manned to our liking. Again, it was probably a minor thing that only I noticed. The food tasted very good and the staff was very polite and worked hard. This vendor also handled our linens and had a great variety of color options. They also handled our bar service and were awesome. Kosch catering was amazing! They were the caterer for our wedding at Indian Springs Metropark in August. From the very beginning, I was very pleased with them. Lana was very responsive and answered all of my questions throughout the entire process. On the day of our wedding, Michelle was my contact and she was incredible. She was there for any last minute questions or needs and readily available. There was one little detail that was overlooked and Michelle came to me immediately to make sure it was handled. I cannot say enough great things about Kosch Catering. I hired them to do my June wedding at the Lake St Clair Metropark and we could not have asked for better service! As a former banquet server myself, I am very cognizant of how an event should run and they pulled it off flawlessly. My sister in law is a professional chef and was raving about the food as well as the other guests. The late night tacos were amazing and everyone loved them and they were included with the package! We did have rain on our wedding day but Kosch let me make the decision when I was ready to about pulling the ceremony inside. Once I came to that decision they quickly had the chairs set and even helped me decorate for the ceremony which I had not even fathomed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I did have a couple special requests that were handled flawlessly. Our event coordinator, Lana, was so kind and thorough and answered all of my millions of questions. Our family held a birthday party of about 50 people at a pavilion @ Stony Creek Park. Decided to go with Kosch catering as they are the only caterer allowed. I did not see many reviews on smaller scale events so I was concerned about booking them. I am very pleased to report that we were well pleased with our experience. Mike was our onsite staff member. He was on time, professional and blended right into the party. Fran was our sales rep and she was very timely and helpful with the menu. The best part was the food! Having never done a taste test I was a bit concerned. They knocked it out of the park. I am compelled to share about my very recent experience with Kosch related to hosting a wedding rehearsal dinner at the Detroit Historical Museum, Streets of Old Detroit (An outstanding venue, by the way). The bride told me several times, as did her mother, that they had no idea the rehearsal dinner would be this fabulous. The food was extremely good. Everyone exclaimed about the taste. It was all served as it should be…hot or cold. It was well presented. It looked appetizing. It tasted wonderful. People ate a lot. There was an abundance of food available. The only disappointment was that there were no containers to take home any of the food left from the buffet.

The Kosch staff was helpful. I have already used up my adjectives! They were friendly, helpful, approachable and attentive. Yet they were also unobtrusive. The bartender was the best a bartender could be.

My husband and I were so impressed with every detail of the event. Thank you for all that you did in advance to help us plan the menu and add the special touches so that it represented tastes of Detroit! More...

I recently hosted a 50th birthday party for my husband at our home and used Kosch for the food. Fran was a pleasure to work with during the months of planning. Her friendliness and patience with my non-stop questions and multiple changes to the guest count was stellar.
I can honestly say there was not one disappointed guest out of all 80 people who attended! Everyone enjoyed the burgers & hot dogs, corn on the cob, beans, potato salad, cole slaw and all the fixings. I name-dropped you to several of the guests who asked who we used. And the lady & gentleman who served us did an amazing job with everything, from setting up, to serving, to cutting the birthday cake & packing up. We got married at Indian Springs metropark and Kosch Catering was the assigned cater. We weren't able to taste the food until 2 months prior to our event. They only have one time a year that you can taste the food. Fortunately the food was good and the service was outstanding. I thought they were a little pricey but the day of our wedding they really delivered. Lana who I was in contact with for pre wedding decisions answered my emails in a very timely manner. She helped me with all my questions and I must of changed what I wanted a million times. She never seemed to mind and she got every detail correct. The day of the wedding Tammy was there for anything I needed. I even had a strange request to have her pickup a live fish for me that I needed to incorporate into our cake. Anything I needed she was there. The wait staff was very friendly and one of them even pinned the bottem of my wedding dress for our first dance. I believe her name was Donna. Kosch catered my wedding on July 11th at The Chateau on the River in Elizabeth Park. I cannot begin to express how happy I was with the whole process of planning and how wonderful the actual wedding turned out. Lana was very attentive throughout the planning process. I really have nothing but good things to say about the service we received from Kosch! We were very pleased from beginning to end. I personally appreciated all of Fran's quick responses to my emails/questions all the way from the original request for a quote to the day of the event. The food itself was delicious and I had several compliments on it throughout our event. I also thought the food presentation was great - it really made me feel like the event came together when all the food stations were set up. I thought it was cool how much of the food was cooked right at the station(we had stations for a strolling dinner) - makes it feel fancier and fresh! I appreciated Fran's knowledge about how much food to order based on our RSVP numbers and her advice on table setup(she suggested a few changes for better flow) once she reached the venue. I felt like Fran had things totally under control and that I could trust and rely on her work. I got married at Indian Springs Metropark, and they require you to use Kosch Catering. At first, I was very nervous about this, but Kosch ended up being great. I also was a little concerned at first because their price per plate seemed high. However, after comparing them to other vendor/venue combinations, the value is the same because Kosch and the metropark provide EVERYTHING you need. I didn't have to find chairs, tables, linens, glassware, etc. They provided literally everything except decorations. Everyone raved about the food and drinks. I highly recommend the strolling dinner package. It was far and away the most food for your money. My daughter's wedding reception was at Chateau on the River in Elizabeth Park this past Saturday. The food was absolutely amazing, and their employees were incredibly helpful in every aspect of the reception from setup to allowing us to pick up all of our decorations the next morning as they had enough space to store them overnight even though the hall was rented the next day. Amber, the on-site manager, is awesome and such an asset to the Kosch team! She had answers to all my questions and offered assistance and reassurance when I questioned how we were going to get all the decorations out of the hall that evening (which is when she told me we could store the items overnight so we could take our shuttle back to the hotel instead of driving).

Another Kosch employee (I am not sure what his name was, but I assume he is also a manager) agreed to meet the morning of the wedding to unlock the doors of the hall where we had left flower stands and urns inside for the night so my outdoor flowers could be set up.

The only criticism I can offer is that some of our guests informed me that "last call" at the bar was approximately an hour prior to the end of the wedding. This detail may have been discussed when we met with Kosch and signed the contract, but I don't recall. More...

I had an absolutely marvelous experience with Kosch Catering. I dealt only with Fran Allen and she was AMAZING! Kosch catered my wedding on Sept. 16, 2017. Prior to that we took part in 2 tastings, one of which was hosted by Kosch and provided us to opportunity to sample numerous offerings. The food was good as both tastings and at the wedding. The staff that worked my wedding was very professional and kind. I, nor any of my guests, had any complaints regarding their services. Fran is such a joy to work with. Our wedding was at Indian Springs Metropark, and the onsite staff was really fantastic and very communicative (but not overwhelmingly so) throughout the night. They really went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Lana always responded to my emails extremely promptly and answered any questions I had in great detail. My venue only books with Kosch so I didn't have a choice, but the food was delicious! Lana was super accommodating and responded quickly to all of my emails. Cass too was very responsive. I just had my wedding at the Indian Springs Metro Park, and the food AND cake was delicious! Everyone enjoyed the food and the appetizers were excellent and unique.
