Chris and all his team were First Class throughout. From the initial digital images, Chris was patient and suggestive as I "flip flopped" my way to a final decision. Even with the internal blinds in the bifold doors, Chris upgraded to a new design that is stylish, practical and efficient. Recently had an extension done on the back of our house (excuse state of garden in pic that’s next project) and we used Koncept Home Improvement for both the bi-folds and kitchen window. We have all had experience of the ‘window salesman’ and the hard sell! This was about as far removed as you can get. Chris and Katie are extremely professional and knowledgable as you would expect but the atmosphere in their showroom is so warm, welcoming and relaxed that it made for a great experience in choosing exactly what we wanted. We were kept fully updated on the delivery and installation date. When it came to fitting, again the fitters were very professional and courteous and did a great job! To say we are pleased with our new window and doors is an understatement and I can not recommend Chris and his team at KHI highly enough! More...

From the initial visit to the showroom to the completion of the installation a top class service was provided. However, on the day of installation a manufacturing fault was found once the doors were in. But Simon and Chris were then very good at resolving the situation with the minimum of fuss and inconvenience to us. A replacement window was ordered and fitted seamlessly and the issues with the door frame fixed by a third party to a very high standard of repair - now looking as good as new. So overall I would have absolutely no problems with recommending Chris and his company to anyone and we are very happy with the doors in situ. More...

New Windows and Doors I have been more than impressed with both Chris and Simon, they both really made this an easy experience from the start, went looking in other areas and was over whelmed with how complicated other companies made it, The moment i Went to Chris it was just easy peasy. The time scales were fabulous from emailing for a quote to fitting yesterday was a total of 1 month 9th July 2018 this started and completed yesterday 7th Aug 2018 Simons survey was spot on, when he arrived the pre-work you could see was well worth it and spot on as the fit was smooth, hardly any disruption at all. Simon and his fit team were very respectful and helpful and cleaned up very well after themselves, they respected my home and were just all round good guys. What do you love most about your job?
I really enjoy being trusted enough to be asked for advice or an opinion, and being honest enough to give a response, even if it may not be exactly what my customer might expect to hear. I have always taken a more technically-focused approach to sales, and have often managed to save customers significant amounts of money by tweaking a design here and there to come to a far more cost-effective solution; for example, reducing the size of a bifold door aperture on some planning/building regs drawings to enable fewer panels to be used, driving cost down as a consequence.
It's a great feeling to know that you have helped someone achieve the best possible results, for the best possible price.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Having worked for a fairly large company for a long time, there were a few things that struck me again and again, especially over the last 2-3 years, and it got to the point where I knew I could do a great job myself.
There always seemed to be a lack of understanding of the correlation between offering an exceptional after-sales service, and securing repeat business in future as a result.
Essentially, I grew tired of watching relationships that I had built with my customers during the sales process being tarnished by a lack of care and communication once the order had moved along the line and out of my hands, both in one-off retail cases and with regular trade customers whom I had dealt with over the course of years.

I would like to think that my clients choose to work with me because they can be assured that they will get an honest, reliable service, for the right price. I have made it my business to know vast amounts about the products I sell and the industry I operate in (honestly, I am one of the biggest window and door geeks on the planet!), which inspires confidence from my clients that they are getting the best possible service from me.
Supply Only
If you have an on-site builder or know a fitter, you can purchase windows, front doors, aluminium bifold or sliding doors, flat rooflights and roof lanterns on a supply-only basis. The products can either be collected from our Wokingham depot, or delivered direct to site at a time to suit you.
Installation
We have fully qualified MCT accredited survey and installation teams, should you need your products fitted. All products fitted by one of Koncept's nominated contractors are eligible for CERTASS certification (replacement items only - products installed into new openings in an extension or new build property will be signed off by building control as part of the project).
Construction
We are in the unique position of having a builder sharing our office, who will be on hand to answer any construction-based questions you might have.
