We ordered our wedding cake from Ko Bakery. It was nerve wracking choosing a cake for our destination wedding since we did not have an opportunity to try it beforehand, but Chris from Ko helped me choose the right flavors, flowers, and finish over the phone. If I had to do it again, I would go with Ko. The cake was delicious (we chose one tier of chocolate and caramel cake, and one haupia lime) and the flowers looked beautiful and elegant. We had Ko Bakery do the cake and cupcakes for our wedding and they were fantastic!Morris is the easiest person to communicate and plan with - he was VERY responsive and never had to chase him (when planning a wedding you realise how important this it! ).  This bakery came recommended to me by locals and they DID NOT DISAPPOINT!  This was some of the best cake I have ever had - and our guests agreed as there wasn't a crumb of cake left within 30 minutes of us cutting the cake.  I highly recommend the Ginger Carrot and Haupia Lime. I'm always looking for good bakeries and Ko Bakery is now added to my list.  We went here a few times during our recent trip to Kauai.  I enjoyed their Mocha which wasn't overly sweet and brought-out the flavor of the beans.  I really enjoyed their Lilikoi White Chocolate Scone, Very Blueberry Scone, Banana Fosters Scone and their Pineapple Upside-Down Cake.  All their bakery items are freshly made and delicious.  The flavors of all their pastry items were awesome and their scones weren't dry like some others I've had from other bakeries.  Service is excellent and we were treated very well.  There are a few parking spaces in their lot and there is also street parking available. We got a POG cake for our daughter's birthday. Normally, we would get a strawberry and cream type cake, but since we never had POG, so we decided to try it.  It was not bad, not great, but not bad.  We don't regret getting the POG cake because at least we tried it.  My daughter likes it so that's important.If we go back to Lihue, we would try this bakery again, maybe try for other cakes.  The only thing is that we stayed at a hotel about 2-3 miles away, and they said it would cost $50 for delivery (3rd party).  It was cheaper for us to rent a car for the whole day than Uber.  We got to do other activities besides picking up the cake. Everything we've had here is superb. The coffee is truly the best I've ever tasted - beans hand-selected by the owners, then ground and brewed fresh.  We are long-time fans of the Hula Baby granola, and every confection we have tried so far was delicious.  After meeting Morris and Chris at the Kauai farmers market years ago, we were very excited to see they had opened a store front. Morris at Ko Bakery was super helpful. I arranged a birthday treat for me and friends while we were visiting the island. We did all the arrangements via email. He was super fast and responsive. I bought a bakers dozen mix of lilikoi, haupia, and vanilla sponge, with matching icing, including pineapple. We picked up the cup cakes in the morning, kept them in an cooler all day and enjoyed them that night. And for a few more nights, there were only 4 of us. They remained moist lovely cakes. The icing kept its shape well. All had a good fruit flavor, without being too sweet. Highly recommend if you are in town. I also bought 2 bags of their crips cookies. Really loved this spot! Super sad they aren't open on Sundays because I sure do love my iced coffee and pastry on weekends. Today we tried the cinnamon rolls, which were incredibly delicious! Cream cheese icing and all! The girls working had great attitudes and customer service. They were super helpful and sweet for dealing with all my questions! I really appreciated all of the help. The bakery/coffee shop opens early at 8am and still there were a few customers in the bakery. It's a really nice, new, clean building which looks great and inviting. I hope that in the future they will have some sitting area so we can eat and drink there instead of taking it home. Definitely one of my new favorite places, will be back for sure! More...

I love, love, love Ko Bakery's cookies. Each time I'm on the island, I always stop by one of their shops to pick up many bagfuls to munch on. I assumed that their cakes would be on par with how delicious their cookies were. For my parent's vow renewal, we ordered two huge cakes. One was pog flavor and the other was the lilikoi. We were so excited for the cake. It was more important than the ceremony to us because we love sweets and cakes. Unfortunately, the cakes ended up being dry. Ordering and service were great. Came in looking for an iced coffee while we waited for our to go order at Mark's place. Unfortunately they didn't have iced coffee but they did have some delicious looking pastries. We opted for a chocolate macadamia nut cookie, peanut butter cookie, and Lillikoi cheesecake. All 3 were incredible. I can't say that I've ever had a more delicious cookie than the Choc chip cookie they made. It was crisp, chewy, and stuffed full of chips and nuts. I have ordered cakes for the past several years. Last year I ordered 4 for a ballet recital. They make great cakes and I use to pick them up from their commercial kitchen. I just placed another order and see they now have a bakery and I am thrilled for them. Kauai needed a great cake bakery and now we have one. Never buy a Costco Birthday again! We were looking for some baked goods for our breakfast while on vacation and stumbled on Ko Bakery. It was almost closing time so our expectations were a little lower as to what would be available. As it turned out, we needn't have worried. Yes the selection was smaller due to time of day but everything we bought was absolutely delicious. We bought four different kinds of scones and a mini pineapple upside down cake. The scones were quite rich with wonderful flavor combinations. My fav was the pecan ginger. The lili koi white chocolate was wonderful. My husband enjoyed his blueberry one and the pineapple coconut. The pineapple upside down cake was delightful warmed up. Ko Bakery was fantastic and so compassionate in delivering cookies to our friend who was visiting Lihue and unexpectedly ended up in the hospital. I tried two different flavors of cake ( chocolate with coconut frosting and pineapple cake) and the lilikoi cheesecake while on vacation in Kauai. Feeling pretty fat and happy but these were the best tasting slices of cake I have ever tried. Perfect fluffy texture without being too dense like some cakes. Amazing frosting texture. Lilokoi cheesecake was to die for! Definitely hit them up at the farmers market or order ahead for a full cake if you have a large party!
