I was looking around Halifax for a trainer to get back into working out a year ago and am so happy I found Kelly. I found she had a great way of keeping me motivated and on track not only with my workouts but with my nutrition as well ! Even with times that I found it hard to stay on track she always reached out to give helpful tips. I noticed a big difference within the first month , I was much stronger, down weight, and felt like I had more endurance and energy through the day and my workouts. She made me a lot of different workout plans so that I would have some variety which I loved. She also helped me to get rid of shoulder pain I'd had for a year by having me roll out my muscles. She has been so helpful in keeping in touch with me even when I've been away from Halifax and I can wait to meet with her again when I am back ! Highly recommend her to anyone considering a trainer !! More...

Before I started training with Kelly, I had never really properly worked out in a gym. My goal at the beginning of summer 2018 was to become stronger and possibly put on some healthy weight. I didn’t know how to use any machines and I was intimidated by the thought of working out with weights even though I really wanted to. I’m incredibly thankful to have found Kelly because after working out with her for 3 and a half months, I feel much more confident in the gym and myself. She taught me how to use machines, proper form for exercises and new exercises each session to keep it interesting. I always felt just the right amount of challenged, enough to see real improvements that were on track with my goals. I believe Kelly can help anyone no matter what their goals are. Kelly is extremely organised and prepared, she kept track of what we did and what we needed to do. She wrote down each workout so I could attempt it alone another time. We kept a calendar of when I did what workout, and a record of the amount of weight I could squat and deadlift. It felt great to see the weight get heavier. She introduced me to logging my food and seeing calorie intake was helpful for my goals. She kept me motivated and inspired. I always looked forward to seeing her and left each session feeling great- and exhausted in the best way. I am so happy I found Kelly. She has helped me realize that even though I run around after my twin 6 years olds all day, there has to be time for me! I've always known I was strong but Kelly is helping me use that strength to see results in the target areas I want to see them in. She has also encouraged me to prioritize how I eat before a work out so that I am energized and able to fully challenge my body to its peak! More...

Kelly has taken the time to find out what my specific needs were, identified a comprehensive fitness plan, and executed a training plan that will work for me! She has tailored the plan to accommodate my physical limitations so that I won't injure myself further. Everything is provided in a format so that you will remember what to do, and progressions are reviewed so that you continue to challenge yourself as you become more fit. I have only known Kelly for a short period of time. I am not one to go to the gym on my own and work out. Kelly makes it fun to work out. Kelly is a great trainer! I was a client of hers when she was in BC. She really understood my struggles and was able to create a personalized workout program that worked around my injuries (I had a lot of them! ). I always loved working out but I had a major issue with the fact that I never saw results in all the times I went. I would stop going for months on end. Then the time came when I was told I needed to shed some pounds by my doctor. He gave me my ideal weight to be at and that set me on my journey. I went to my local gym, signed up with Kelly, and never looked back. She worked me to the point where I finally saw results I never thought I’d see. Kelly never gave up on me and would never let me give up on myself. She even got me to the point where if I rested longer than I should she’d add in extra reps to make up for the time. Now 24lb lighter and gaining muscle to replace the fat I was sooo happy to lose! More...

Kelly is a knowledgeable and extremely professional individual, she posses that special 'IT' factor of truly caring for her clients, co-workers and employees. I was not a very active person. About 4 years ago, I finally decided to take my health seriously and joined a fitness club. I was assigned by the club to have my personal fitness evaluation done with a female personal trainer. Little did I know that this amazing, wonderful, kind and genuine trainer, Kelly, has become my “personal” trainer for all those years that she was in Vancouver. Kelly didn’t just show me how to properly do exercises so that I won’t hurt myself…she also designed specific workout routines for me to do both at the gym and at home to meet my fitness goals. She also motivated me and kept me accountable to meeting my goals through educating me about my meal plans. Today, I am stronger because of all the training that Kelly did with me. If it was not for Kelly, I don’t think I would ever attempt weight training…let alone 95lbs back squat or single arm row with 35lb dumbbells!! I started out wanting to get into shape but not having enough confidence to go to the gym. Kelly trained me at a studio and helped me so much. I had shoulder problems and couldn’t work out fully, but Kelly got me into a routine rolling my shoulder out with these balls. It helped and made it so I could fully execute the movement. She helped me get over the gym stigma and now I can go! I am so grateful for what she did for me, she helped me lose weight and better, get my life back on the healthy track! More...

I had the pleasure of training with Kelly a little over a year ago when we both lived in Vancouver. She is such a wealth of knowledge when it comes to fitness plans and meal prepping, everyone could learn a lot from her. I've definitely learned a lot from training with Kelly and looking forward to hopefully getting some more training in now that we both live in HRM again. I highly recommend that anyone who is having a struggle finding that motivation or lack of courage getting to the gym to give Kelly a call. I never was one to be adamant about going to the gym and working out but Kelly turned that around. She gave me he confidence I lacked and made me actually want to work out and better myself. More...

Kelly taught me how to do weights properly and helped with my nutrition as well, providing me with lots of meal ideas and the best timing to eat them. She gave me new weekly workouts so I never got bored with the exercises, and was always challenged. Kelly was such an amazing trainer. She motivated me & helped me lose around 30 pounds. Her workouts were always different and unique and she was able to cater around my injuries. Her meal plans were strict but delicious. She's very good at what she does and best of all she genuinely cares about your progress. She gives you all the tools you need to achieve your fitness goals and encourages you every step of the way. I didn't think working out was fun but training with Kelly completely changed that.
