We spent some time looking for a wedding photographer who could capture great candid shots of our wedding day. Rich certainly didn’t disappoint. On the day he was professional, friendly and helped put our guests at ease. The resulting images are fantastic. I can’t imagine anyone could have done a better job. Richard photographed my wedding back in November at Holdsworth House! He was such a lovely man and our photos were amazing, he made us feel relaxed which showed in our photos. He captured exactly what we wanted! The photos captured all the emotions of the day from the tears to the beaming smiles! Where to begin from start to finish with Rich the experience has been exceptional, the original opening phone call, understanding our requirements I got a great feeling, immediately booking him for our wedding. The little touches in the run up, checking in etc to make sure everything was on track etc and always being at the end of an email when we had questions. And then the day itself, hardly knew he was there for the majority of the day which is what we wanted in order to get the best outcome for our pictures. The natural candid snaps and ones of the kids that were pivotal to the day, followed by a trip to the railway station for the couple shots, putting me (not a natural in front of the camera) at ease and using the vintage set up to its full potential and then capturing the steam train in all its glory !!! What a way to top off the shoot !!! But I don’t know who was more excited , Rich or us !! A pleasure to have with us on the day, and a gent in every way. The pictures we were sent as a teaser within 24 hours were a lovely touch followed by the remaining, which we can’t fault any of. Thank you for the hard work and effort put into our special day and for the memories we have forever captured in the most exceptional of ways. Just back from another great photo walk with Rich. Having done a few of these now, I find that Rich strikes the perfect balance when it comes to his approach to helping you improve your skills. On each walk he shares with you a few key techniques and tips specific to the theme of the walk, then you get to experiment with them. All the time you're learning, Rich gives advice and helps to diagnose when things don't go as they should. It's a great way to build familiarity with the myriad of features built into modern cameras. Rich was my wedding photographer and we were so happy with him that this father’s day I decided to buy my Dad a gift voucher for a private half day lesson. I joined my Dad last week on the lesson. Rich took us on a lovely walk around the river bank in Ilkley. My Dad was really pleased with the present and picked up load of useful tips and now has a much better understanding of his camera. Richard, my beloved cousin-in-law, traveled to Halifax, Nova Scotia (Canada!) to attend our wedding. I asked him to join my groomsmen and I before the wedding to just relax with the lads, and he offered to take few photographs! Well, a few photographs turned into about 100 photographs, all of which were absolutely brilliant. The pictures themselves are fantastic, but what I loved even more about them is that they captured the mood, the feeling, the general tone of the whole morning so well! Many of them are candid, so they genuinely captured how great a time we were having that morning. I sent many of these pictures to my groomsmen (because chances are they didn't have photos of them that were this good), and we have at least 2 of them showcased in our apartment (along with other beautiful Richard Bunce images).
And best of all, Rich is such a great guy that just having him around made the morning even more special. 5 stars is not enough for this man, thanks again Rich! More...

We found Kissing Gate Photography by searching on the internet and we made the perfect choice. It is without doubt that Rich is very passionate about what he does and shines through his work. We are absolutely over the moon with our beautiful wedding photographs thanks to Rich at Kissing Gate Photography. His professionalism is outstanding. Rich photographed our wedding at the end of January in the lakes. We could not have asked for anything better. He (and Brendan the second photographer working with Rich) made us both feel so at ease and half the time I did not even realise they were there. They mingled with guests and had a good comeraderie with everyone so that our guests relaxed around them. The shots we got as a result of this are fantastic!! Both formal and natural!!Over 600 photos and all brilliantly capturing the spirit of the day. It is going to be so hard to choose our favourites!! Leading up to the day Rich listened to what I wanted and then made sure it all happened and on the day! He even donned his wellies to go get some scenic shots with us. Rich was our photographer for our wedding and we are very grateful for his part in helping to make our day so special.Rich took photos reportage style as requested by us with just a few formal photos. I was bought a camera for Christmas, but a short break in York left me deflated as I could not use my camera to anywhere near it's full potential, a full day of private tuition with Rich later and I can now take some amazing photographs. I have to admit it was daunting being an absolute beginner, knowing very little about photography and being female but Rich made learning easy. He was relaxed and friendly and I felt comfortable from the start. He was extremely patient too as I didn't grasp it easily and I thoroughly enjoyed my day in Ilkley. Rich was so knowledgeable and taught me how to take the types of photograph I knew I would be looking to take in Australia. He tailored the day to suit my needs. It was great to talk about my failed attempts and to learn how to use the camera's manual settings to achieve the result I'd wanted. I have to say I was nervous to go it alone and put my camera skills to the test for the first time today but it came so naturally to me like I'd been doing it for ages. Thankyou so much Rich. Rich photographed our wedding and captured the day perfectly. He was really personable and fully understood what we were hoping for. Rich put us, all our guests, and our 8 month old baby really at ease throughout and it felt like he was part of the wedding, which was really lovely. I spent a day on the 'Get a Grip' camera course to get a better insight into photography and to learn more about the functions on my camera . Rich is so easy to understand and the course helped me to move away from the auto settings on my camera. I therefore decided to go on the Golden Acre Park Photo Walk and enjoyed learning more about what settings to use in different situations, also looking at an object and thinking about what is the best angle to take the photo. Ever wondered what all those dials and buttons are for on your camera? I did until I attended a'Get A Grip' camera course. Rich explained the fundamentals of the camera and how to get a good shoot. Which settings to adjust and how everything inter reacted. I now have the confidence to move the dial off the 'Auto' setting and start using the camera to its full potential. More...
