Things went downhill the longer I worked with them unfortunately and now I'm still cleaning up the mess from 2021 taxes.
A few years ago, I was so impressed with Carrie's support and knowledge with Quick Books so switched accountants to work with her. Over the years, I felt less and less supported and every time I would contact anyone at the office, I felt like a bother and struggled to get timely or efficient assistance to my concerns or questions.
Even when I asked what it may look like to get more support and guidance and pay accordingly being a new business owner, I got no response.
I kept justifying that she was busy or I dropped the ball on something, so stayed with her longer than I should.
As things got worse, I started interviewing other accountants and one told me that a certain amount wasn't accounted for on my prior taxes. I defended her saying that wasn't possible as I had talked with her just weeks before and she knew about that amount and how to apply it accordingly. I was shocked to learn that she indeed did NOT apply it to my taxes, and proceeded to take no responsibility for correcting it, but rather blamed me and my financial advisor for the error.
Now, many months later, I am still cleaning up the mess from her negligence, and am having to pay another account to amend prior taxes, even though every accountant I have spoken with says that this should have been corrected by her, at no charge, if she was being ethical and professional.
I'm very disappointed with how things transpired and how much time and money have been lost due to poor communication and errors.

STAY AWAY! Consider using a different company when filing your taxes unless you would like the IRS to send you a notice of penalties and interest owed. I was first introduced to Carrie and her company by a family member thinking this would be a strong referral along with my father-in-law preparing his taxes with her. At first, when I called Carrie she seemed nice and answered my questions, which I would see was all a front for me to agree to use her. Moving forward it has been a nightmare dealing with her as I had to pull an arm and leg for her to return any of my calls, emails, or texts. She has FAILED her financial fiduciary duties and left me with no choice but to find a real CPA since I needed my taxes done. Carrie gives false timelines promises on when she would do my taxes. If she did reply to my text she would keep pushing to do my taxes the following week. One reply said, “I’m on a mental health retreat and will be back Monday to assist you”. Never heard back and also concerning from her response is someone that is doing my taxes. Carrie had finally reviewed my taxes after it took over a month and a half and told me over the phone that I would be looking at roughly $7,000-$8,000 to owe. I told her my gut feeling is around $20k. She told me sending in $8,000 would be plenty. I had sent $15,000 to be safe. On June 2nd, she asked for clarification on my taxes and I responded within the hour. On June 15th, I sent another email requesting a phone meeting to finalize everything and get it done. With no surprised I did not get a reply. She claims she sent me an email asking for more information as why she didn't complete my taxes however I did not receive anything along with not giving her a proper excuse as I had called several more times with voicemails the coming MONTHS. On Aug 2nd, I had finally completed my taxes with another CPA and end up owing over $24k and having to pay a penalty and interest on the remaining balanced I owed. Because of Carrie’s lack of financial duties, I suffered fines that could have been avoided! She had missed informed me on how much money to send to the IRS and due to her lack of response it had delayed my process to get my taxes done. Also, adding I had spent a couple of hours waiting to speak with someone from the IRS to settle the penalty when I should be focusing on growing my business. On Sept 12th, I sent her another message saying she had forced me to use someone else and how she has caused me to give more of my hard-earned money to the IRS. She did not want to take responsibility for her wrong doing and wishful thinking to at least get an apology. Save the headache and don’t use her. Carrie and her company are understaffed and you’ll be treated like a number in her pool wondering when she will complete your taxes. More...
