We had an absolutely lovely photoshoot with Kirsty. Her talent, professionalism and open-mindedness made for an epic experience, and the photos turned out stunning. She was definitely not afraid to rough the elements for the shot. Thank you Kirsty! More...

Kirsty was recommended to me by a friend, to help capture images of my fledgling farm stay business. I was anxious having a photographer I didn't know capture something so dear to me. But Kirsty knew exactly what I wanted to show, and took such beautiful photos, in the most awful of weather conditions. Definitely recommend her. More...

Kirsty asked us to think of somewhere that was special to us for our engagement photo shoot. She came and met us in the Caitlin's at Curio bay. After having a coffee and getting to know Kirsty we went to the beach to get some snaps. The whole experience was very relaxed and was really good fun even stumbling across a fur seal at one point (Typical New Zealand). The day was slightly over cast but the photos came out brilliantly it goes to show Kirsty really can capture incredible photos whatever the weather. More...

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Light! It's all about the beautiful light.
Of course, putting yourself in the right place at the right time, composition, shape, colour, focus, emotion, detail, and many more elements contribute to a great image, too!
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
There will be quite a few questions about the specific details for the day, locations, wedding party names and numbers etc. Some examples of the questions would be:
What do you want from your photographs?
Is there permission to photograph at the ceremony venue?
What is the schedule for the day? When will important moments be taking place (such as the ceremony, meal times, first dance)?
What group shots do you want from the day?
What do you love most about your job?
I love creating beautiful images that capture natural moments.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am passionate about creating beautiful images that you will love.
