Liverpool, Merseyside(1 Review)
My name is Katie Anakin, and I have a degree in Animal Behaviour and am currently completing a Masters in Clinical Animal Behaviour at Edinburgh Veterinary School. Kipenzi is the realisation of a 6-year dream and I'm hoping to provide affordable behavioural help to owners of a variety of pets in the Liverpool, Wirral, St Helens and Warrington areas.
I have experience in the treatment of:
- Inter-species aggression (aggression between dogs, or cats)
- Intra-species aggression (aggression of dogs or cats towards another animal or human)
- Separation Anxiety
- Copraphagia (eating of own or others faeces)
- Poor social skills (jumping up at others, barking at the door etc.)
I can also help with puppy socialisation, obedience training, agility, floor work and I am an assistance dog trainer for Dog A.I.D.

Kipenzi Behaviour Q&A
What do you love most about your job?
I have always found I bonded better with animals than with people, and understood things that perhaps others haven't. I love being able to help owners bond with and understand their pets.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Dog Trainers are fairly common, but they are unregulated and often working off personal experience or 1 year diplomas in dog training. Full behaviourists like myself are often too expensive for the majority of owners to be able to afford. I wanted to set up a business that offers a fully qualified animal behaviourist at a price that is actually affordable to the majority of people.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am passionate about my work and love helping problem animals become the pets that they are fully capable of being. I offer a fully inclusive service that means I am contactable 24hrs a day 7 days a week for advice and any rants that may be necessary. I keep myself up to date with all current behaviour research and training methods.

This service is available for dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, horses. But if you have another animal let me know and I can look into it. This is a personalised service and is specific to your pet and their problem behaviour/s. Behaviour rehabilitation is split into 3 stages: 1. Assessment In this, I will perform a full behavioural assessment on the animal. this includes some questions and a few forms. From this, I can give an accurate diagnosis of the behavioural problem 2. The Plan Once I have a clear idea of the exact problem and its triggers, I will write a personalised training and rehabilitation plan for that dog and have an appointment with you to go through it and explain the plan for your dog. 3. Homework. I will of course help with the rehabilitation training, however, there will be homework for you to do alone, to ensure the training is successful. I am however always available via phone for any emergencies between appointments.
