Both of my daughters have been to Kip McGrath in Shipley to help them gain confidence and keep up in maths at school. My eldest now scores 7s in maths leading up to GCSEs this year, whilst my youngest (9) needed to be taught a modern maths approach which isn't the way I learned. She now feels comfortable with the pace and ideas of maths at school and we are grateful to Gael and Roy for helping her grow so quickly. The cost is reasonable and the tutors are keen for students to sit every lesson which has been paid for so offer catch-up sessions in case of illness or unavailability from the student. There is a free assessment and you can get a good deal when paying in advance for a full term, weekly on a day that suits you. If your child needs a little help to get back on track in one of the key skills taught at school, just message and have an initial session to see how they go. More...

My Daughter attended Kip McGrath when she was younger and it helped with her confidence as well as her education. Last summer she did the Cellfield programme, it has been life changing for her. She is now extremely confident with her reading, yes she still makes mistakes and still sometimes asked for help. However, reading is now enjoyable and not exhausting. She loves books and spends lots of her free time reading. She always did well at school but it was difficult, she is now achieving straight A’s in all of her subjects. Both my daughters have attended and both passed the Heckmondwike Grammar entrance exam (Rachel got her result today and Lauren 6 years ago). They both loved going and saw it as something to look forward to every week. The teachers are wonderful, the standards are high and nothing is too much trouble for anyone. E has been going to Kip McGrath in Heckmondwike for a while now. The results are undeniable. Not only she has shot up in Maths and English but her confidence, her curiosity for learning and her love of reading have surpass all expectations. Kip McGrath is not just a tutoring place. It’s an environment where E has flourished and learnt how to learn, learn our to enjoy learning and learn our to look for more knowledge. We sent our daughter here during Junior school, to help with English and Maths. She wasn’t struggling, she was one of the best in her class but we realised these subject underpin understanding in all other subjects. The purpose was to help support her schooling and ultimately pass her entrance exams... which she did. You cannot expect to pass such as non verbal reasoning with just a few hours of practice. Later she had lessons in Statistics to support her schooling and gain her GCSE... which she did. She got umpteen GCSEs, great A level results, a degree and straight on to a PhD. We've been coming to Kip Mcgraph at Wetherby for about 6 months. My son is currently in year 8 and has never really enjoyed doing English. Its always been a struggle at home to get him to sit down and do any form of writing! Since starting with Kip Mcgraph he now comes home and gets straight on with his written work and really enjoy's coming to his sessions at Kip. We can also see an improvement in his level as School. Cannot begin to Thanks Mrs. Wendy Rusk, for all of the help she has given Justyn, (my son), over the last few months. My son just had his transitional primary 7 review at school today for his move up to secondary school. He has Dyslexia plus meares irlen and was behind in his subjects. After 4 months at Kip Mc Garth with frank he has caught up with all of his subjects and excelling. The class teacher and learning support teacher have commented on the incredible improvement in such a short time. Michelle - (Ben, year 9) Ben and his English teacher were not happy with Ben's levels a few months into the school year, so we looked at extra tution for Ben. As we had used Kip McGrath when Ben was in year 7 with very good results ( 1 full level and 2 sub levels) we decided to contact Catherine to get Ben booked back in to Kip McGrath. My son started at Kip to help him catch up with his classmates and prepare for Y6 SATs. He was extremely shy and found it difficult to talk to new people. A classroom of 30 kids moves at a fast pace which my son found difficult to keep up with. Kip helps cement the building blocks of knowledge in place which has given my son the confidence he needed. The experienced team at Wetherby Kip fine tune their teaching to meet the needs of each individual. The children only move on to the next level when they are completely ready and not because the lesson plan says it's time to move on. My son will be starting high school in September where he has already spoken to his new coach with a good pass score on all of his SAT's which has way surpassed his expected scores.
