I have been wanting to visit this hotel for so long & when I finally had the chance to book I didn’t hesitate! I had booked a 4 night stay for my husband & 2 children in Inverness. 2 at the kingsmill hotel & 2 at another hotel. What can I say... we absolutely loved every minute from start to end! We ate in the Inglis restaurant & couldn’t at all fault any of the food or service, they did spell our name wrong so sent us away to begin with saying we didn’t have a reservation! Bit embarrassing in front of a room full of people. But that was corrected by the staff in the conservatory So no harm there I guess! We also ate breakfast, I ordered poached eggs on both mornings as the eggs were so fresh & tasted amazing! Our room was perfect , I e.mailed the hotel to try & upgrade my family room but on this occasion it wasn’t possible. Good job really as the room was perfect!! The children were really happy with there room & bunkbeds. The swimming pool was perfect for the family, we only managed to get one swim in! But hopefully on our next visit we will stay for longer. So overall we would definitely return. Thankyou for such a lovely stay. More...

What an amazing hotel!! My partner and I recently got engaged at Christmas and yesterday we undertook an engagement photoshoot at the Kingsmills and attended the Hogmanay Gala Dinner. What a fantastic day and night. The hospitality shown was second to none. All the staff were so polite and courteous. We had so many lovely comments and congrats, we were truly overwhelmed. The event was amazing and so well organised, the food was first class and the band Torridon were amazing. We couldn't have asked for a better new year. I cannot recommend this hotel enough and will definitely be making an enquiry about our wedding reception xx More...

This place is simply fantastic. I will start with the room. We booked a family weekend away and this was our second visit. Our first was amazing and we decided to take the kids. Now when your first experience to a place is amazing I always worry that the second will leave me feeling disappointed!! Fortunately I am pleased to say I was wrong. Expectations exceeded and I look forward to another visit.

The room (Luxury Family) was beautiful and spacious with kids bunk beds around the corner in a separate space with their own TV. The bed was very comfortable and the blinds have given us an idea for our own home.

What is best about this place is the staff. They really make the visit. From the concierge who fist pumped the kids each time they passed ( oh and I did it to not to feel left out ) to the bar staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Nearly every member of staff greet you with a smile or good morning.

Saturday night was crazy busy when we had ordered our food in the bar. There were a couple of functions on and everyone arriving while we had our starters. I was dreading having to eat our mains with loads of folk standing around but I needn’t have worried. Staff quickly managed the flow of people to their functions and didn’t call our mains until there was some sense of normality resumed. It’s these little touch’s that make you appreciate that you the customer is first.

We shall be back with an larger party this year as we will be bringing up the in laws to celebrate a birthday.

Many congratulations to all the staff for making our second stay memorable for us.

Oh and the boys say it’s good so they will come back aswell !!

Stayed at the hotel for one night. It was a last minute book, we literally called them and got a room in 5 minutes even though they were almost fully booked. We wanted one room for the three of us to save money and they were very kind and managed a pull out bed in the twin room. The breakfast was great, everything was clean and the stuff was very nice too. The only thing I want to mention is the shower controller in the bathroom. It seems to be an old system and it fell apart every time we used it. This is just a minor problem and can be fixed easily. Other than that, it was great!! Beautiful garden and golf court. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ More...

Loved it so much we've already booked to come again! Amazing space in the family room for our 5 & 1 year old. Staff, service & food were faultless & courteous without being OTT. Pool was ideal size for our needs. There was a function on Sat night so I'd recommend asking & booking an evening table in advance which we'd done. Party got going after the kids were asleep so it didn't bother us - worth asking if you're a light sleeper though! More...

Just back from my second stay at the kingsmill hotel with my two dogs, we were up for the Inverness half marathon. Very pleased with everything! Staff very friendly and made you feel welcome. Dogs very popular around the hotel which is great, just what I look for when I take the dogs away. The housekeepers (I believe they were sisters) made me and the dogs feel very welcome and spent extra time speaking to the dogs and gave them loads of attention which was great popping in to speak to them when they passed. Makes you feel so much better when the whole place is so dog friendly. Room service was superb and arrived at a time to suit you, amazing food, big spacious room with everything you need for a few days away. Hopefully be back again next year! More...

We recently came for a swim lunch for my daughter's birthday and had a fabulous time. The pool is so warm and the sun was streaming in through the wibdows. The food was excellent and the staff so nice even to three 12 year old girls. The only downside was that I noticed at age 13 children pay the adult rate for the swim lunch. However, I know my girls would not choose anything from the main lunch menu and would still prefer the fantastic children's menu. Maybe 15 would be a better age for changing to adult rates. More...

Wonderful hotel. Staff very helpful and and friendly. Food is amazing. Would of been 5 star but the room was cheap. Bed was very comfortable. The let down was the bathroom. It smelt musty and was not as clean as it needed to be and floorboards squeezed. Only needed to roll over in bed and it made the wardrobe move. The blinds was fraying and the pull cord was broken. Very expensive wine. Check your bill after as we had someone else's drink on our account.
I didn't complain as we only stayed one night and the meal and staff make up for the faults. I do recommend this hotel.

This hotel is superb, immaculately clean, stylish, on entrance you are presented with amazing decor the whole place looks amazing. . though it's a 4 star I think if they added face cloths to each room and slightly upgraded bathrooms they will certainly get 5 stars with ease (that shampoo is really nice). Every member of staff is friendly and professional. It comes with free access to some really cool facilities. The gym is divided into two separate rooms one for running and cycling etc and the other for weight lifting etc.. the pool isn't huge but it's perfect for a little stretch, they have a sauna and steam room and a really cool hot tub. The restaurant is amazing we had a 3 course meal.. starter was smoked salmon for me and lamb for the lady.. it was so amazing me and my wifey gobbled it down before even thinking of taking photos.. for the main we both went for the suckling pig.. and it was to die for! Desert.. I had the hazelnut chocolate superb amazing 10 out of 10 for the presentation, taste and quantity. Compliments to the chef!! Our favourite hotel in Inverness, and we use it for both business and leisure. A first class operation which is superbly managed by all involved. It ticks so many boxes, I'm not quite sure where to start. The bedroom accommodation has been very carefully thought through in the planning stages from start to finish. Over the years we've fully tested every aspect of the Food & Beverage operations from Room Service to Functions and everything in between. I've yet to find it wanting! The leisure facilities at the hotel are an added bonus, and as for the staff? Well, they're efficient, warm, friendly and welcoming. In a nutshell, we'd find it hard to go any where else! More...

Thought the room was good, if a little dated and tired looking. Comfy bed. TV didn't work though. Food was excellent, far from cheap however. £5.30 for a pint was also hard to swallow.
Chose this place as it was just £80 per night for B&B. Extra £77 for 2 nights food and drink was a bit much though.
Nice place, ideally located, staff all very polite and attentive. Just a touch too much for the food and drink in my opinion.

Slightly out of town hotel with nice gardens. Since it's built in an old mansion, all rooms are a bit different. But all are large, we felt the bathroom was bigger than necessary (that's a first time! ). Our kid loved the bunk bed in our room. Food was also good.

Not so good was that WiFi was very weak in our room, towards the end of a corridor, had to hold the switch for the kettle to work, and very limited toiletries.
