I received exceptional service at Kijana Salon. My appointment was for a full set of extensions. I was greeted with a friendly smile and a bottle of water. My wait time was all the time it took me to fill out the Lash Orientation form. I'm a lash stylist/Esthetician (10+ yrs) and I am very particular about sanitation, adhesive and lash mapping- I was pleased to see I need not have worried. The salon is nice with a relaxing atmosphere. They are very friendly and professional. The wash room, where your hair gets washed, is so relaxing and smells amazing that I almost fell asleep. When it comes to my hair, my expectations are very high. To go brunette/red to blond it is a mission that allegedly takes 3-4 times to accomplish unless you want to end up with your hair ruined. I am more than happy to report that mission accomplished! My hair is perfect, no damage and it did not end up orange Trump as I feared and it only took 1 time to get this done.Kijana is a full service salon so make sure you make all your appointments from hair, nails, eyelashes... don't make the same mistake I did that when I wanted to finish my look and pampering, they were booked.  The pedicure chair looks amazing and relaxing.  You will be completely laid back. I made last minute same day reservations with the ladies from Kijana for a Mani-Pedi, I know it was a long shot but when I called earlier the ladies told me to give them a call after my spa session to see if they had availability. Luckily there were some cancellations and they were able to book my mother and I. I am so glad that it was this salon we went to. The ladies were wonderful. I had told them I was pampering my mother and they went far and above my expectations. They took real good care of us. And spent a wonderful afternoon just relaxing. Looking for an amazing nail artist?! You've found her. I booked an appointment with Dee at Kijana Salon & Blow Dry Bar for a gel manicure and regular pedicure based on previous Yelp reviews. The receptionist quickly scheduled the appointment. Later, I received a call to confirm my appointment for services. When I arrived at the salon for my appointment I was promptly greeted and welcomed by a inviting and relaxed atmosphere plus great music. I was offered a drink and Dee showed me to their polish area to select a color. There were swatches available and Dee was helpful in suggesting the perfect color based on the description I provided. She knows her products! The salon offers an extensive selection of colors from various brands including OPI, CND, Essie, Color Club, Young Nails, and other brands. They thoughtfully and artfully curate their polishes to make sure clients have an up-to-date and wide selection to choose from. After selecting a color, Dee began my service by asking me questions to make sure she would meet my specific needs and help to address any concerns I had with my nails. No detail was left to chance. When the service began, the nail instruments were removed from their sterilization pouch in my presence ensuring cleanliness. As Dee performed each part of the service, she explained what she was doing and frequently inquired about my comfort as well as if I wanted a drink. Be prepared to relax during your service as pedicures are performed in a zero gravity like chair! Dee prepped, filed, and painted my nails with the most attention to detail I've ever experienced. I got a Groupon and called to make an appointment a week and a half prior. I'm going to Europe and wanted my hair done a week prior in case it needed to be fixed. (I have had issues like that in the past) my appointment was at noon, so I arrived a little early (about 15 mins). I was welcomed and offered something to drink. I declined at first and later went back and requested a wine. (They didn't have red wine but I'll take what I can get). Maria is the one who did my hair, she asked me what I wanted and I showed a few pictures. I told her I wanted it to look natural and was Getting a full head of highlights. She took her time and we had some great conversation. I brought my book at first just in case I had time to read but we talked the whole time. About 4 hours later after stripping my hair color, adding toner, washing my hair gently, I began to see the color come through. As she was blow drying I noticed how much I loved it. Normally hair dressers haven't been able to get the color or natural look down from a brunette to a honey/ash blonde. I was happy and she wasn't even done blow drying yet. The hair cut is exactly what I wanted too, side bangs and she cut the front so it shaped my face. Had layers done for the rest of my hair, and cut a good amount of inches off because my hair was getting unbearable to handle and tangled all the time. Spent about 5 hours in the salon and left glowing and in a great mood for once after leaving a salon. I made sure I tipped accordingly to the original price of service and not by the Groupon price. Again she spent 5 hours of her time on me and wasn't going to leave a merely 15$ as 20%. Hope everyone who gets it does the same!  I knocked off a star because I still like it, but it is a bit streaky, I wanted to be more blonde on top rather than have it so stripped.Excuse the no make up! I purchased a groupon for a balayage and redeemed it today. I have to say I couldn't be more pleased with the way my hair turned out. Lisa did my hair today and she was wonderful. She was friendly and made sure I was comfortable and enjoying my experience there today. I added on a treatment at her suggestion and I'm glad I did my hair is so glossy! And the color came out amazing! My hair was very dark and I wanted something much lighter and cooler on the bottom I showed her some pics and she told me she would do her best to get it as light as possible. It didn't come out like the pic I brought but it came out great she assured me one more session will get me there. I had my nails done by D and she was amazing! I tried a new style/nail shape and she was attentive and took her time to make sure she perfected the look. Went back for keratin, which Kijana had researched and bought for me. At other salons, it's a tedious 3-hour job, but there are plenty of nooks & crannies to hang out & read a mag or enjoy a coffee---and she was finished a half hour faster than where I used to go. Everyone who works there is having a great time with their profession. There's an element of caring I haven't found elsewhere. Kijana makes genuine contact, not gossipy salon talk.
