There are so many good things to say about Kelly! We did a family session in Indianapolis. Although Kelly is from West Lafayette she made the super early trip to do a sunrise session aka Golden Hour session. She found the perfect park in Westfield (north side of Indianapolis, just north of Carmel) that she scoped out before hand. She helped give opinions of outfits and brought props to match. Our daughter at 11 months at the time, had some stranger danger, but Kelly rolled with it! She's great with kids and definitely had a creative plan of what she wanted in posing and locations. We loved our pictures and her special style and her genius idea of early morning sunset added a gorgeous element to our 1st family photos. When it comes to making people feel comfortable in front of the camera, Kelly is a genius! She not only captured the emotion and love our family was feeling, she made the session fun. Kelly did a wonderful job with our family wildflower session! Getting family photos is not something that I enjoy because it can be very stressful especially with a 2 and 3 year old. Kelly is so encouraging starting before your session even happens with clothing choices. Kelly is one of those delightful people who instinctively knows how to put others at ease in their presence. She was delightful to work with and up for the challenge of working within the unique parameters of our family shoot (on our boat at the lake), easily scrambling on and off the boat and getting in the best possible spot to capture our family. I also loved the way she made my son engage with her, and she made it easy for us to feel relaxed and comfortable. Kelly did such an amazing job with our photo shoot. She was great at getting my children engaged (even when my toddler was throwing a temper tantrum she was able to re-direct his attention and got him to willingly cooperate in the shoot). We did not want all of our pictures to be really posed but much more natural to how our family typically behaves and the prompts and direction she gave us worked beautifully. Kelly did a family and three years milestone session for us in February. We absolutely love both her and her photos. She is very patient and energetic to work with the kids. She connected with me many times to help me decide the ideas for the session. With two three years old twin boys, I was worried that they would be difficult to work with and we could not get some good photos. Kelly is not only a talented photographer, but she is also gifted with capturing beautiful moments and colors! It was our family's first Christmas photo session, and Kelly was very generous with her advice. She answered my desire to learn more about color and texture combinations, and prepared us with encouragement to have fun! She created a fun environment for the session, and included our kids in everything.
