If you want a wedding photography who stays behind the scenes and is overall unmemorable and run-of-the-mill, look somewhere else. That's not Kelly. From the start, she improved every bit of our wedding day (and the whole weekend!). Not only do we owe her for the most natural and vibrant photos that so beautifully capture our wedding, but she reduced stress and dealt so graciously and patiently with every single person. She's extremely efficient while also being so personable. You'd expect that to do all she's trying to do, she'd either have to bark orders rudely all day or be kind but slow in organizing people for every shot. Somehow, she gets it done fast while also making everyone laugh -- which makes for better smiles in photos anyway :) She's also super flexible. If you have ideas of what you want for your pictures, she'll make it happen. But if, more like me, you don't, and you show up on your wedding day clueless about where to take pictures, she can come up with brilliant and gorgeous ideas. You can look at her work to know that she has a gift for the art of photography, but what you can't see in the pictures is just how amazing she is as a person. Though you might not think that matters in a photographer, our wedding day certainly wouldn't have been the same without her positive attitude. Kelly encouraged and calmed us over and over. We switched to Kelly at the last minute and lost a deposit with another photographer, but my mom still says, "Kelly was worth every penny! I can't imagine that day without her." More...

I have attempted to write this review a few times, and I am struggling because I have so many great things to say about Kelly, and I keep having to delete things so it is not so long. Overall, my basic review is this: If you have a chance to hire Kelly to take your engagement or wedding photos- do it as soon as possible and consider yourself very lucky. It was the best decision I made for my own wedding.

First, Kelly is amazingly talented. She took engagement and wedding photographs for me and my husband Evan. We are delighted with the results, and could not be more pleased with how the photographs turned out. She is extremely creative, and we followed her lead for poses and creative shots. They all turned out amazing.

Second, Kelly did some amazing things online, and my entire family loved it. Kelly creates blogs and posts of engagment photos and wedding stuff. It is a great way to relive the event and share it with friends and family. Plus, the production value of the blogs are amazing. When i was showing co-workers they all said "these are beautiful" and "I've never seen that done before!"

Third, Kelly is one of the nicest people I have met. Clients are more than just a paycheck to her. In fact, she took the time to get to know us, and meet with us (via skype) to learn about our love story and what we wanted in photos. She also spent extra time talking with me to help plan details for my big day. Plus, my entire family remarked on how sweet and nice our photographer was- something Kelly accomplished while taking amazing photos.

Overall, I am very blessed to have met Kelly, and to have so many great memories from my wedding day- all captured by her.

Kelly was the photographer for my son and daughter in laws wedding. She also did the engagement photos as well. Her ability to look through the lens and capture moments the way that she does is truly a gift. I was also beyond impressed at how she was able to orchestrate and handle two large families and a wedding party. She was very professional, as well as warm and kind. I seriously can't say enough good things about Kelly. My fiancé and I looked for a photographer for a very long time and we ended up picking Kelly, even though she lives in Seattle and we live in Denver, because no one compares! She did our engagement pictures about a month ago and they are absolutely incredible. We found a new friend the first time we met her and she was able to capture our personality in every single picture. We were a little nervous prior to the photo shoot but as soon as we started she made us feel so comfortable and we had such a good time. We asked Kelly if our dogs could be included in our engagement pictures and she loved that idea and was really great with them! They loved her and she was able to get great photos even though they weren't exactly behaving! It's hard to put into words just how much we adore Kelly! This sweet girl braved a very cold and rainy PNW day to capture our engagement photos before heading with us to sunny Maui to capture our Happily Ever After. She is incredibly sweet, professional and a pleasure to work with. We loved just chatting with her about life, faith and everything in between. Kelly took incredibly good care of me the day of our wedding even making sure I was eating and drinking enough! She spent so much time making sure we had all the pictures that we wanted, and then some. She climbed wet rocks, windy cliffsides and so much more for the perfect shot. It’s impossible to truly summarize the experience we had with Kelly for our engagement shoot. From the first minute we met her in person we could see the passion she has for photography. Kelly is so much more than a photographer. She wants to learn about your story and get to know you and uses that background as another lens so to speak to convey who her clients are through her photos. There aren't enough words to describe the level of appreciation I have for Kelly. She is truly phenomenal at her art and SO sweet! I had my first boudoir bash session with her a few weeks before my wedding. I was beyond nervous, with my heart in my throat as I entered the studio. Within a few minutes (and thanks to mimosas) I was completely comfortable with Kelly and Angie. My hair and makeup turned out amazing thanks to Angie's amazing skills! Since it was my first session, I was worried I would look awkward in all of the pictures. Thankfully that wasn't so because Kelly is wonderful and really did pose me from head to toe in the most flattering poses. She was so easy to work with and gave me a couple sneak peeks during the session which blew me away! My husband was beyond surprised to see the pictures on the wedding morning, totally worth it! I'm so in love with how my gallery turned out and it's given me a new sense of confidence I never expected. I highly recommend Kelly and hope to have another reason to book her in the future! If you want photographs that capture the time, the memories, the emotions, than you MUST have Kelly Lemon Photography be a part of your big day! I do not even know where to begin when it comes to Kelly Lemon Photography and the amazing woman behind the camera. From the moment Kelly and I first interacted I knew without a doubt that I wanted her to capture my big day. Looking on her website I loved how she used natural lighting and captured REAL pictures with REAL people showing REAL emotions; none of the overly posed photos you see sometimes. Kelly was able to do our engagement photos as well as our wedding and we had the best time with her! She makes you feel so comfortable and excited! After our engagement session we took the opportunity to get to know her a bit more by having dinner and I can proudly say I have become friends with this amazing lady and cannot wait for many more dinners. I also decided to surprise my groom with a boudoir album for his wedding gift! Kelly and I were able to schedule a time and place for this shoot to take place. She made me feel so classy and elegant and the pictures came out very tasteful and lovely. Kelly then took a few hours out of one of her night to go through all of the pictures with me to determine my top 15. She then designed an album for me and delivered it to me before the wedding so I could take a look. It turned out beautifully and I am SO happy I decided to do this type of photo shoot and would encourage other brides to do the same. On my wedding day she came in and was SO excited for me! Her huge hug was so calming and I knew the day would be captured beautifully because of her and the confidence she had. She photographed all the small details and was very patient with all that was going on. What I love about Kelly is that she knows EXACTLY what she is doing and how to get everything done with the amount of time given. She plans things in advance: walks the grounds to pick out good spots, thinks of different shots, etc. and because of that the photos do not take as long as one might think. Another aspect that I LOVED about her is all of the prep work she does before the wedding. She goes over timelines, family portraits and who will be involved, as well as asks if there are any special requests such as specific shots, specific people we want to have pictures with at the reception, etc. Kelly puts SO much time and effort in to the weddings that she photographs and that can be seen in her work. This effort is not only put in to the photos themselves, but in to getting to know the people she is capturing. Kelly has a huge heart for people and loves telling stories. We had an engagement/proposal, wedding, and day-after "rock the dress" session with Kelly in the mountains outside of Seattle, and the cliffs/beaches/city in Oahu. I highly highly recommend that you schedule as many Kelly Lemon photoshoots as you can! She is fun, relaxing, smart, and a brilliant artist. Of all the stressful decisions you make around wedding day, having a joyful relaxed and talented photographer by your side is so amazing! My husband and I enjoyed all of our sessions with Kelly - she gives good direction throughout the shoots, but it also feels really natural the whole time. Not only is Kelly extremely professional and kind, but she takes the time (at no additional charge) to get to know you and your family so that she can capture the event in the way you envisioned. I cannot express how happy I am that we found Kelly!

She is professional, organized, extremely talented, and on top of it all - such a warm, thoughtful, genuine person whose love for what she does truly shines through every photograph.

From the day that we met Kelly she treated us like friends, not clients.
Throughout the planning process leading up to the wedding day, Kelly met with us for dinners, puppy dates, a day trip with her hubby to wine taste/hike (for our engagement sesh!).

We felt that we were really able to connect with her and know who Kelly was. So come the wedding day. She wasn't just a "vendor" standing in the corner taking pictures of us, it was like a friend (a really professional talented friend) hanging out and interacting with us, our friends and family taking our pictures. And because of this she not only was able to take pictures that captured all the little details that we poured our hearts into, but she caught the sentiments of our guests, the laughter that my husband and I share, and truly illustrated the loving and fun environment that was shared during our wedding. I look through our pictures and the feeling of the day is just so present in all the images.

I cannot gush enough about her talent, but she also was extremely helpful with making sure the day of details ran smoothly. She communicated well not only with us, but the rest of our vendors (videographers, day of coordinator DJ etc), she was able to direct/corral our family and friends with respect, and she would always check on me to make sure that I was truly soaking in everything of the wonderful day.

Kelly Lemon is like no other. She has been so incredibly supportive, loving, and wonderful throughout our wedding day as well as the days before. Not only is she incredibly strong, overcoming various odds throughout her life, she is a phenomenal photographer. The moments she captures are so genuine and beautiful. We have only seen three pictures and we're already thrilled at our choice of Kelly. After doing just our first look photos, in the freezing cold, my husband said, "Oh my gosh, she is awesome". I can't wait to see what else she has captured and will update this review more when the full photo set arrives.
My husband & I had some bad luck with unexpected work commitments, travel out of the country, and sickness so we could never connect with Kelly to do an engagement shoot but that was 100% not her fault. Kelly was flexible and understanding, even though I was not the easiest to communicate with during the lead up to the big day.
I knew Kelly growing up (she was one of my best friend's little sister's friends and we went to the same school for a time) so that added personal connection was pretty cool. She has shot other weddings of people who grew up in our hometown and seeing the work she did for them was enough to convince me to have her as our photographer. What can't I say about Kelly?!! She is just an amazing person all around! Not only is she a great friend of ours, but she is an amazingly talented photographer and we are so lucky that she was available to shoot our wedding for us! I knew from the start that I would love to have Kelly as our photographer well before we were even engaged. Her photos are amazing...just check out her website! She has such an eye for detail and lighting and style. She knows how to capture what is important to a couple and what they are about, what defines their love. I don't necessarily consider myself to be very photogenic but I was floored when I saw the work of art that she created out of us! She captures the moments effortlessly! Kelly brings extra light to an already amazing day. She is aware of what is going on all over the ceremony and reception for the entire day.
