Best Trainer Ever! I hate working out and told her about it. Kelly makes up entirely new workout every time. It's not just Leg Monday or Arms Thursday, it's different every single time. About a month ago I decided to go from a plant based diet to raw veganism. Of course I didnt want to become ill, so finding a nutritionist was mandatory! I messaged one other local option and with Kelly's warming yet business like response it was a VERY easy choice. She was very prompt on getting everything in order even when she was sick!! I had my meal plan ready about a week before my start date even!

Going raw was a big learning process for both of us and Kelly has gone ABOVE AND BEYOND to work with me! I was doing meal plans through a trainer I knew online and it would be days before Id get a response. Not with Kelly! There has never been a time she didnt get back to me within the day with any question, concern or comment! She has worked with me with every adjustment, as well as being a truly caring person. I have full trust in her and have learned so much about nutrition even outside of our amazing lesson plans!

I am able to reach my fitness goals and feel AMAZING with my raw vegan macro based meal plan. I am so excited to continue this beautiful journey with kelly as my guide. Thank you!

Kelly made a meal plan that myself and my other half followed. There were multiple options if we couldn't hang. This is the best plan ever if you are looking for multiple options. I first met Kelly about a year and a half ago. I had been searching for a Vegan nutritional coach and was so excited when I found her! Finally a trainer that isn't going to tell me I need to eat meat or dairy in order to build muscle! She provided me with information about foods, supplements, caloric intake, and training! After I had my baby in June I knew just who to go to for recipes and workouts! I just completed her 28 day challenge and loved it!! I've been working with Kelly Gibson at Kelly Athletics for a couple of months now, and I HIGHLY recommend her!  Since she's in Tempe,AZ, and I'm in Los Angeles, CA, I train with her using her Written Workouts, weekly phone consultation, e-mails, and (up until a little while ago) Skype.  The Written Workouts are personally prepared by her and tailor-made for each person.In the beginning, we had been using Skype because I was concerned that, with just a written workout, I might not be able to fully understand the exercises without seeing them demonstrated.  We stopped using Skype because it became unnecessary for me.  Kelly's Written Workouts are detailed, well written, clear, and easy to understand.  She does such a great job with them that I can actually understand the exercises from the Written Workout without needing to see them demonstrated.  However, if I do have any questions, she's always available by e-mail and/or phone to answer them. She's also been a big help in working with me on stretching properly (I'm working with a past shoulder injury). I'm very happy with the way things have been going.  I follow the work-outs, then fill out the log sheet and e-mail it to Kelly.  She analyzes it, and offers feedback and suggestions.  She's also VERY patient with people like me (people who may not exactly be in love with exercising but realize that it's something we have to do!).  In other words, she doesn't get impatient or give up on you if you're having some issues with missing workouts.  She's there to help you work through these issues, and she does it really well!  A big plus is that she's also vegan!Definitely contact her if you're looking for a trainer! Kelly Gibson is an outstanding trainer. I have previously worked with 4 fitness trainers in the valley over the last five years and have never found a trainer more dedicated than Kelly to her clients' success. I started working out with Kelly six months ago and have lost over 20 pounds. I am a 33-year-old man and am in the best shape of my life and I owe it in large part to Kelly.     Kelly is not only a personal trainer but she is a human who cares about her client's success. Previously with other trainers I have always felt that I would come to the scheduled session with my wallet, pay them, and that would be the end of the relationship. Kelly is focused and determined to assist me in reaching my goals. One of Kelly's many talents is that in her group classes she is able to adjust and modify the exercises so that they are always challenging but attainable based on the individuals skill level.     Kelly is not an ego bubbling trainer. Kelly walks the walk. If she is giving you advice the advice she is giving comes because of her knowledge and experience. Kelly is highly educated and has been able to answer any questions I might have on diet, nutrition, and exercise. Kelly runs a business and is highly professional but she is not afraid to educate her clients.  I workout a lot and most of my time working out I might not be with Kelly. Kelly understands this fact. Previously I trained with personal trainers who had the mentality of "If I give too much advice, my clients might decide they don't need me anymore!" This mentality led me to ultimately decide not to work with them and I failed to be the best I physically can be. I couldn't recommend Kelly enough for any level of 1-1 or group sessions. I was able to lose 22lbs and 19 in. with 4.5% total body fat during my time with her. She's very easy to work with and after a few sessions you know that she has your best fitness interests at heart. With a wide variety of workout tools at her disposal including her life experience I felt very comfortable and confident of her capabilities during my time with her. The gym and working out can be so intimidating!!! Especially for me, I have struggled with my weight, eating right, and exercise since I was young. I avoided the gym, I didn’t want to feel overwhelmed with where to start and frustrated with what I couldn’t do. This year I decided I was ready to make some big changes in my health but I knew I needed extra support, knowledge and encouragement from someone else. I am so glad I found Kelly and Kelly Athletics. From day one, she has been nothing short of amazing. Three months ago during my first session I could barely squat, do a push up, or balance myself on one foot. Yes I could barely stand on one foot!!! Kelly still gave me high fives, positive words and would modify exercises to meet me where I was at. She has given me awesome feedback and information on how to support my goals outside of our sessions including healthier food choices I can make. I have seen huge changes in not only the numbers on the scale and inches lost, but I feel stronger, happier and healthier. She continues to push me and I am doing things I have not done in years like run, jump, and not to brag but I’m pretty much an expert at standing on one foot now. I first contacted Kelly about 10 months ago to get in shape for my wedding. I had gained about 50 pounds and besides wanting to look good for my big day, I was feeling terribly embarrassed and uncomfortable with my body. I searched for vegan trainers online because I was also interested in switching to a plant based diet. When I read Kelly's story I knew she was just the kind of trainer I was looking for, someone who wouldn't pass judgment on my weight and would understand my struggles. The first time I met with Kelly my anxiety over being in a gym, surrounded by people in much better shape than me, overwhelmed me to the point of tears. Kelly was very kind and patient with me and worked with me until I could feel more comfortable in my own skin. I've lost 20 lbs since I started working with her and I know if I had followed her meal plans more strictly my results would be much faster. Besides the weight loss, when I follow her meal plans I find I have more energy and even clearer skin! My confidence has greatly improved and I actually enjoy going to the gym on my own now. Kelly is a great trainer. I saw her twice a week for 5 months and she was very helpful. As a vegan myself, finding a trainer that also is a vegan is very helpful. She was very helpful with workouts that focus not just on weight loss but also strength training and other important aspects in health. She was also helpful in creating food plans for me to follow. I have wanting to go vegan for quite some time. I learned about Kelly's "28-day Vegan Challenge" and really just did it for the recipes (she includes those) so that I could get some recipes under my belt and make my vegan aspirations more of a vegan lifestyle. After speaking with her, I ended up participating in the challenge because I realized it will help me actually DO this rather than simply file recipes away like I do with all my recipe books. Glad I did and I'm about to embark onto the next 28-day vegan challenge so that I can continue on this path and make my vegan lifestyle an actual solid habit. I have to say...1. I have learned SO much, FINALLY, because of this challenge.2. I can tell that my muscles are more defined now.3. I have more energy.4. After my freshman year of college, I went home for the summer looking to loose the freshman 15 that I had gained from the year prior. I lost a few pounds over the summer, but returning back to school I wanted to make sure I could continue loosing weight and toning my body. Throughout high school I play on two different soccer teams, where I was constantly active. When I first started training with Kelly, I did not realize how out of shape I really was. I worked with Kelly three days a week, and still continue working with her four days a week now! I have never been so grateful the time and commitment Kelly dedicates to me, and how much she genuinely cares about my health and progress! Every few weeks, Kelly makes me do a fitness test to see my overall progression in weight and in exercise. Throughout the months September to December, I have lost an overall 6 inches in my body! In my first two months of working with Kelly, I also increased my maximum squat rep up to 50 pounds heavier, also improving my overall strength, endurance, and dietary habits! After working with Kelly for about a year now, she continuously brings new exercises to each work out, making them entertaining and a challenge. Also after going abroad for three months this summer and returning back a few pounds heavier, Kelly still keeps me positive and impressing me weekly with progression, trying to get me back to the shape I was in last school year. I couldn’t be happier having Kelly has my trainer; she has brought back all of my confidence and has helped me achieve all of my fitness goals. Kelly is a fantastic lady. Went to her for a couple months for group training and I really enjoyed it. She keeps you busy with a lot of different routines, and so you never really get a chance to grow tired of the workouts she has you do. Nutrition is the single most important factor in optimizing health and well-being. Lifespan is primarily determined based on what we put into our bodies especially food and drink.

I work with my clients on a 1-on-1 basis. First we complete a fitness assessment and body fat composition test. Then I create a written workout plan that I share with my clients. We perform the training sessions and follow-up with a completed log of what the client did each workout. My clients also do a nutrition evaluation which covers health history, lifestyle, dietary habits, and supplementation.
