Phil came and did an intro meeting with hubby and I and he made me feel very much at ease. Having previously had PT's who were gym based I found Phil's approach like a breath of fresh air. Having Hypermobility in my family I had always found that the previous PT's had not taken this into account, therefore I was over stretching, which in turn was not helping me achieve the correct posture when exercising. Phil was also very compassionate when I suffered with vertigo which could come on overnight.His approach is very professional and understanding and you will get as much out of your sessions as to that which you put in.HIs rates are the average I would expect for someone of his abilities and would certainly have him back should my circumstances change in the future.A great guy, with great understanding of how all woman tick in different ways and uses that knowledge to adjust your training regime to suit you. I have been seeing Phil for the last 7 months and during that time I have lost 2 and 1/2 stone. When I first contacted Phil I knew that I needed to make a change but I was too scared of failure to even admit that I wanted to lose weight, he has been so supportive and now I am in such a good place with my fitness routine and weight loss. I know that I still have a lot more that I want to achieve but I’m coming at it from a really positive place. Phil never stops teaching and educating me in our sessions about everything related to my goals from the correct form and posture for different exercises to nutrition. I've been training with Phil an hour a week for the last 8 months and have made great progress. After several decades of deskwork & under exercise & having had a total knee replacement a couple of years ago, I'm not aiming to run a marathon but to get better mobility and flexibility. It's working. Phil is knowledgable and very observant. He quickly notices where you need to change your posture, movement, balance or awareness. After having spent the summer in a rut and still feeling despondent, I decided to contact Phil in order to fall in love again with running, instead of seeing it as a necessary chore. Although I can see why Phil's service would be well served towards weight loss and fitness, I was really happy when he LISTENED and immediately responded to my needs: I do not want, nor will ever win races. I just want to enjoy running again.He has ever made me feel embarrassed by my awkwardness and has in fact really helped with my mobility, he has also resolved minor injuries and has injected some fun into my running by suggesting some experimentation with rhythm and body positioning.Phil is incredibly supportive and excels in positive reinforcement.I have enjoyed every one of my sessions with Phil - no two have ever been the same. I have been training with Phil for few months now. I wanted to lose some weight and my brother recommended Phil to me. He is very professional, supportive and motivational. His advice on food and portions has helped me tremendously to improve my diet. His exercise routines are challenging but not exhausting. I am now able to balance my food interests and my portions have considerably reduced. His training has boosted my strength and fitness. I started training with Karen 12th June and I've already seen massive improvements as I've gradually gained muscles which I thought would be very difficult seeing as I had never ever been to the gym once in my life but Karen changed my way of thinking about exercise completely. I'd highly recommend Phil as a personal coach if you are looking to lose some weight. Phil helped me to reach my target weight loss within the timescales I wanted to do it in. Phil instilled confidence from the start that my training would be tailored to my immediate (knee injury rehab) and long term needs, be varied to keep my interest/motivation going, flexible to fit my changeable work routine and includes diet and nutritional advice. I lost 5kg in the first 8 weeks- inspired by the early progress and more healthy eating regime I have maintained these improvements whilst not feeling like I am at a boot camp, coupled with Phil watching out for signs of slipping back into old habits with gentle reminders and positivity it's making a huge difference.Phil's focus on posture and doing the exercises/training the right way, I feel absolutely safe that I can achieve what is being asked of me at each session. I spend time on my previously unused cross trainer as this is now part of a wider more sustainable and enjoyable investment in my health, happiness and future!All credit goes to Phil, brilliant advice, knowledge and guidance along the way. When I started working with Phil my primary goal was to be more toned. I didn't expect the amount of health benefits I would get with working with him just once a week. My diet (which still resembled that of a student) has been improved thanks to his advice on food groups and portions and not only do I feel fitter and more toned I have a greater understanding of how and why to exercise as I do. I have a great laugh with Phil and always found him firm but fair when you need to work a little harder. Thanks to him I have also made huge improvements with my running, this year completing my first marathon in under 4 hours. More...

My biggest struggle was trying to gain muscle/mass however I was never able no matter what I did. I have never liked going to the gym however, I wanted to loose weight and get fitter. I wasn’t sure what to do, then I came across Phil. I contacted him and he was very professional and happy to get started but was never pushy. I spoke with him and advised that id had a baby 4 months prior and I wasn’t sure what to expect and almost felt nervous however when I met Phil (he came to my home) he made me feel at ease and excited to start training with him. He was a very down to earth person and never made the training sessions rigid. He was fun but to the point and he gives you the push you need to train your mind and body in helping you loose those extra pounds. I trained with Phil for 8 weeks and lost a lot of inches around the waist, hips and tummy and also I could see the pounds coming off! I dropped two jean sizes, I was a size 16 and am now a size 12 and I couldn’t be happier. If I had to recommend anyone, it’d certainly be Phil. More...

I decided I wanted to get fitter as my wife just had a baby and I didn’t want to be a dad who couldn’t run around with his son without getting out of breath quickly. I come across Phil who I contacted to inquire about personal training as I hadn’t done this before. When I met him, he advised what the sessions would be like and he completely understood what I wanted to achieve. He really helped me change my lifestyle and the foods I was eating but it certainly wasn’t boring foods. Phil has a lot of knowledge about keeping fit, exercise and lifestyle changes therefore, I would highly recommend him as he will get you to where you want to be if your willing to listen and take on board the information he gives. I signed up for a 6week course with Phil seeing him twice per week in prep for A holiday and to feel a bit stronger and healthier, by the end of it I had lost 9lbs and 4 3/4 inches all over as well as eliminating my back pain and feeling strong. His patience and encouragement kept me going, as someone who tends to struggle to maintain a exercise regime his encouragement and positivity kept me focused! My regime was totally tailored for me, He even gave me tips on my diet and helped me set realistic goals. I can't speak highly enough of James. His sessions are always well thought out and ensure I'm always pushing myself. Not only is he extremely friendly, approachable and a great motivator but he is extremely knowledgable on the best ways for you to achieve your personal fitness goals. I have been training with James for 8 years now and I can honestly say he has the patience of a saint! As a trainer he is very motivational and encouraging and a very nice guy. He has enabled me to gain a level of fitness so that I have been able to complete three half-marathons, something I thought was impossible for me. I would recommend James as a trainer who is able to help anyone reach their fitness goals. Phil offers a professional, well thought out and holistic service in his approach to personal training. It is clear that he is well qualified and understands the anatomy/physiology of the body including how to get the best out of it. He delivers a comprehensive consultation and is honest with his clients about what is achievable. He also provides weekly support and nutrition advice, where others may not. He is flexible and able to adapt to clients with challenging work schedules and manages to fit sessions around what is good for you. I found out I was expecting early into my training with Phil, and Phil embraced this; he adapted the exercises we could do and even sent me evidence based articles on exercising during pregnancy. He was a great support and encouragement and I was highly impressed with the professionalism with which he handled the situation. Jakub's proactive & professional approach stood out from the start when I was looking for a PT. His free consultation/ taster session were helpful as I knew his approach to my goals of weight loss/ toning/ better health was going to work well for me. Jakub makes it as easy as possible to train as he is flexible in coming to you and/or indulging outdoor/gym training, which works brilliantly around a busy job and little free time. Who knew I could get so hot and achieve such results within the confines on my own living room!After just 6 weeks I have lost a stone with Jakub’s help. His consultative yet firm style combined with a bespoke work-out plan that he takes the time to produce and adapt for every session is really helping me in getting to my ultimate goal. As I was rapidly approaching the ripe, old age of 50 I decided it was time to take action! Having had a summer of all inclusive holidays (lots of eating and drinking! ) it was time to call in a specialist! Phil has been great! He has encouraged me every step of the way on my journey back to some kind of fitness. He has encouraged both myself and my daughter to make changes in our diet that has helped us maintain a healthy weight loss over the last 3 months. I have also lost 4 inches overall and my daughter 6 inches! Phils training sessions are fun but he pushes us when we need that little bit of extra encouragement. I have gone from doing no exercise at all to running twice a week, boxfit and an exercise class each week!If you are looking for someone to give you that push to motivate yourself Phil is your man! Phil is a great personal trainer. One of the things that impressed me straight away about Phil, was that he said the process should be about him helping to map out exercises I could fit into my schedule and develop over time - rather than being a 'boot camp'. We set manageable goals, and this gave me the confidence to try and push onto things I never thought I would be able to do at the beginning. He takes a very genuine interest in your well being, helping with little (but significant) changes you can make to diet (without feeling you have become a Monk in the process). He is very knowledgable, but always explains things very clearly - and you never feel that any question is too silly to ask. I was introduced to Phil through my wife's work colleague. I had put on a lot of weight and was very unfit.I was very apprehensive about having a personal trainer, however 3 months down the line I am one and a half stone lighter and my fitness level has improved. Phil has introduced me to new ways of eating so that I don't have to feel hungry. The food I now choose to eat is health and I can have treats so I don't feel like it a diet.I would not have been able to achieve this on my own, but Phil is both inspiring and supportive.Phil is always happy to make suggestions but will always consider my thoughts and feelings. I have been coached by Phil for the last 3 months, in that time I have lost 1 1/2 stone, and it wasn't that hard because of the help and support Phil has given me. I have never been confident in the gym and Phil has been brilliant. After 3 months I have lost nearly three quarters of stone and gone down a dress size already. I feel fitter and actually enjoy exercising. During these 3 months I have been challenged and pushed by Phil and he has taught me a great deal.
