My name is Katie McClain. I'm a certified Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner and a certified Somatic Life Coach. Somatic means, of the body. I offer body-mind healing, tools, and interventions to help adults and children to feel better and do better in life and relationships.
If you suffer with stress, anxiety, depression, and/or mood swings, I want you to know that it IS possible to feel better. The answer to feeling better lies within your own body. I support clients in connecting to themselves holistically and with compassion. The somatic support I offer helps clients to release stress and anxiety through gentle processes that are safe and never overwhelming. Your body has an innate ability to heal. During a Somatic Experiencing® session, which is the basic method I use with all of my clients, I support your nervous system to settle down so you can rest, recover, and generally begin to feel more safe. As your body, specifically your nervous system, begins to rest, you learn or re-learn to recognize a sense of well-being. As this happens, we are able to do the deeper work of releasing stress energy that’s ‘stuck’ in your nervous system.
What’s possible is an increase in your capacity for managing everyday issues. You begin to feel better for longer periods and your life shifts to a fuller sense of goodness and ease. Read more for more details on what I offer and info about complimentary consultations below:
