We were very pleased with Kathleen's overall performance. She spent several consultation sessions with us then presented design options.
She pursed material options to fit out budget, provided spread sheets for project phases including contractor payments along with frequent site visits.
I have a background in interior commercial construction and design and I was impressed with Kathleen's attention to detail.

We hired Kathleen of Kathleen Steel Design to help us with our kitchen/dining room redesign.
We thought we knew what we wanted.
Through on-site consultations and with Kathleen’s extensive interior design knowledge and years of experience she was able to give us great ideas and advice as to what will and won’t work. A lot of which we would have never thought of.
She was able to create helpful 3D drawings showing us what our finished kitchen will look like.
Thank you for being a pleasure to work with and all your help with our redesign project. We love our new kitchen/dining room.

Kathleen revived a tired bedroom, creating a warm, elegant, classic environment. She built the design around a cherished piece of art acquired on a trip which makes the completed room even more special because of the memories it preserves. I love waking up in this room and also spending time in it at different times of the day when the light creates different effects. It was an exciting, hassle free new kitchen project from beginning to end. Kathleen takes charge, in search for trades people that she knows do great work and are proud of the work they do. Kathleen Steele (One by One Interiors) helped me with my Bronte Townhouse renovation from beginning to end. During our initial meeting, Kathleen was attentive and highly motivated to understand my vision, preferences, family and work habits, all in an attempt to develop a well matched plan for going forward. Kathleen has a natural ability to not just listen to the client, but to be able to truly hear what the client is saying/feeling in terms of needs versus wants. Kathleen made amazing recommendations for all my wall colors, carpet choices, light fixtures, cabinetry, hardware, plumbing, window treatments, furniture, and accents. Kathleen worked extremely well with my architect, construction supervisor and all the sub-trades. Her ability to pull together and work with many moving parts is impressive. I highly recommend Kathleen --- she made my renovation smooth and enjoyable. She can be trusted. Kathleen provided great guidance for my kitchen renovation. She was very knowledgeable and helpful about all aspects of the project and was able to quickly access other professionals to work on the reno as required.
The kitchen was completed on time and on budget and I have received many compliments about the renovation and its appearance and functionality since.
I recommend Kathleen as an excellent resource for both design and renovations and would have no hesitation to call her again if i embark on another major project.

After having Kathleen Steele Design help us renovate our master bathroom, kitchen and fireplace, we called on Kathleen once again to assist us with the main bathroom.
Kathleen’s final design was fabulous, her selection of materials was amazing, the workmanship of her trades was incredible and the results-simply stunning. Everyone that has seen the new “Blue Bathroom” can’t believe the transformation.
As we have learned over the years, Kathleen’s designs are both timeless and sophisticated which means we will enjoy this bathroom for many years to come.

Love Kathleen! Very professional and very knowledgable, great eye for color and coordinating. I didn't know where to start and wanted to update several rooms.
She worked closely with me and made great suggestions and selections within my budget and tastes. The main challenge was to keep most of my current pieces which did not seem to match but be able to bring it all together in a very pleasing way. Could not have started or finished the projects without her! Have already booked her for my next set of projects.
