What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Making the model feel at ease whilst i'm photographing is so important. It's critical to me that each person enjoys their session so we have lots of fun and even throw in the odd silly face to release any nerves or anxiety.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I always ask whether they have any set ideas what they'd like to achieve from the session in regards to the type and feel of the photos AND how they want to present the resulting images (framed prints or photobooks or canvas for example).
What do you love most about your job?
Every session is unique. Even if I photograph 3 familes in a row they're all so different and play out individually. Every client is important to me and I try to make the session as personal as possible. I'm always there to talk if they need help ad advice prior to the shoot. I also love delivering prints/products to happy clients and seeing their pleasure at the resulting imagery, there to cherish for a life-time.
