If you're trying to decide on a photographer for you wedding, look no further. Karrie Porter and her husband are absolutely amazing to work with. My wife and I absolutely love Key West and decided to get married there. We wanted something intimate and low key. One of the most important things for us was to capture the day through photographs. We searched high and low for a photographer and after chatting with Karrie, we knew she was the one. Karrie and Rob (her husband and assistant came to our hotel and that's where the evening began. They picked us up and took us to all of the locals secret spots to get amazing photographs. They took us around town for hours to capture some amazing photographs and we had a blast. Our Reverend, Steve Torrence took us to a secluded location at Fort Zachary State Park for an amazing ceremony. After that we were able to get more amazing photographs there. We wanted to jump in the water and trash the dress and to say we did that was an understatement. Karrie stood up on some slippery, daunting rocks to capture the plunge and even got dirty in the sand with us. We couldn't have been happier with the finished product and received so many compliments on our pictures. We were able to have her make acrylics for us which are on our wall so we can be reminded everyday of our amazing time. Kerrie and Rob were more like friends than photographers! We're now expecting a little one and can't wait to return to have them take family photos.

Just a WOW effect, from the moment Karrie replied to our inquiry! She walked me through the process of destination wedding photography. She is pretty comprehensive at honing in on your creative level, as well as pinpointing what your vision is. We had looked at a few photographers before our Key West wedding, but we really liked Karrie's style and ideas about how to record our day. Meeting her in person sealed the deal. She's brimful of enthusiasm, loves what she does, and is experienced and very, very good at it. Over the course of the lovely - but rather chaotic - day, she somehow managed to seamlessly dance between capturing beautiful formal shots and staged shots and a whole selection of the sort of candid, fun shots that we really wanted. She has ridiculous energy levels and managed to effortlessly work with our crazy gathering of people of all ages and nationalities, finding perfect angles and perfect backdrops, corralling our guests when needed, and encouraging a smile even on the most camera-shy people.
We've gone through our album from her at last twenty times and each time, her keen eye for capturing the really important moments and the sheer variety of shots (I swear she was in three places at once on the day...) brings it all magically back to life.
If you want spectacular service and perfect photos, but don't want to have to worry about any of it on the day - Karrie is far and away your obvious choice. More...

Let me start by saying that Karrie is fantastic. The entire process, from meeting each other, to planning, to the day of she was attentive, knowledgeable, and wonderful. Our wedding was this past weekend in Key West and I was so impressed with her professionalism and how much fun she was to work with. Our preview pictures came out great so far, and her selection of picture locations made the process a lot of fun. I cannot thank Karrie enough for such a wonderful wedding day. There aren't enough words to describe how amazing Karrie was as our wedding photographer. From being to the rehearsal early and even helping us out when the coordinator had not shown up to being able to find the best locations for the perfect picture, she was the right choice from the start. Karrie was fantastic to work with. She was very friendly, professional, and accommodating. Prior to our wedding, she collected a lot of information about us, our event, our guests names and personalities, the little details we wanted to make sure to capture, and the specific photos that were absolute musts for us. She then provided us with a shot by shot schedule, which really made us feel like we knew exactly what would happen at any moment. We had a few unexpected surprises that she handled beautifully, demonstrating her flexibility. Karrie was patient and inventive working very well with my brother Jay who has Down Syndrome and who is very challenging to work with. She also worked very well with our 4 year old flower girl. We really appreciated her direction during photos, making sure that our poses were flattering and fresh. My husband and I are from Michigan but often travel to the Keys where his parents have a condo, so it was the ideal place for us to get married. After browsing through Karrie's website I knew it would be the perfect fit for our style! Karrie and Monika did both our engagement photos in Key West and our wedding up in Islamorada, both were fabulous and our pictures turned out incredible! I have had many people say they are the most unique and best engagement/wedding pictures they have ever seen. When some of the surrounding locations we wanted to take some pictures at wanted to charge us to be at their site Karrie got creative and found 2 gorgeous locations to take pictures that were only within a few miles of the resort. She was very organized with the timeline the day of the wedding and we fit in all the parts that were most important to us while staying in our budget. Karrie and Monica were absolutely amazing!!! I knew Karrie was out photographer from the first email I recieved from her! You could feel her fun personality through her emails and I knew she would be perfect for us ! Plus I had sent an email inquiring about her pricing on Thanksgiving, not thinking that I would get a response for at least a few days, but she surprised me and I recieved an email within a few hours! She was so much fun and has been beyond responsive to us. THey were also a lot of fun the day of the event not to mention how amazing how photos are! Everyone who sees them says how beautiful they are and how they should be submitted to magazines because they look that amazing! Not only did she take photos for us but she put together a video that told a story with our photos of the whole day. It is amazing and we keep watching it over and over! Karrie and company were simply fabulous! The pictures turned out beautiful! My family can not stop raving about what a deal I got with her and how perfect the day was captured. She was affordable and allowed me to customize my package to get what I really wanted and would fit into my budget. Karrie and Monica showed up on time (called me on the way), and snapped right into action. They were incredibly easy and fun to work with. They definitely made the hours of posing a lot of fun! I'm from Ohio and have made many trips to Key West and when I got engaged I knew that's where I wanted to get married. Once we picked our ceremony location (Pier House) I asked for some photographer recommendations. Karrie Porter Photography came highly recommended so I of course checked out her online albums and immediately knew she was the photographer for me. Karrie is AMAZING!!! From our pre-wedding and first look photos to the end of our reception Karrie was able to capture every moment for us. Some of my favorite photos are the ones she took when we weren't looking she was able to capture that special moment with friends and family. Karrie even helped us set up a trolley to take our wedding party around the island and get those one of a kind pictures. We Got married March 17, 2011 in SC. And we wanted to honeymoon in keywest and at the same time take few shots at the beach during sunset. I Emailed many photographers, and many never replied or way too expensive for a 1.5hr shoot. Karrie replied very quick, gave an awesome quote, signed contract, met in key west, had an awesome time. I came across Karrie’s website while looking for a photographer for my wedding in Key West. My husband and I eloped and I only wanted someone for around 2 hours since it was a small intimate ceremony. I could tell from the quality of the photos on her site that she would be able to maximize that 2 hours and take photos that we would love in that short amount of time. I e-mailed her and received a response that day. I had e-mailed some other folks in Key West (like officiates, tour guides, etc.) and most took quite a wile to respond. Not Karrie though, she always got back to me right away! From the moment I reached out to her I felt that my wedding was in good hands. It was such a relief. I was traveling to a place I had never been for one of the most important days of my life and these pictures would capture this special moment for all of our friends and family to see. She even contacted the officiant we chose and coordinated with her. The best part of course was that our wedding pictures turned out beautiful!
