Reflexology is a healing holistic therapy which has been in use for thousands of years with evidence showing it was being practised by the Chinese and Egyptians. Reflexology treats the feet in order to balance the mind body and spirit while cleansing the body of toxins and waste thus inducing a state of balance and harmony to the body and mind. Thumb and finger manipulation and massage are applied to the points of the feet known as reflex areas which correspond to different parts of the body. There are 7000 nerve endings in each foot which match up to each organ, gland and muscle in the body. The build up of toxins and waste on nerve endings are known as crystals and it’s these that can make the body sluggish and not perform at its best. The feet are a mirror image of the body, the left foot mirrors the left side of the body and the right foot the right side of the body. This therapy is very relaxing and is excellent for healing the body and clearing the mind.

Sports and remedial massage is the assessment, treatment/manipulation and rehabilitation of the bodies' superficial and deep soft tissues. Soft tissue refers not only to the muscles but the tendons and ligaments that hold us all together too.
Sports and remedial massage is effective for both acute injuries and chronic aches and pains that may appear to have no real cause at all.
You do not have to be an elite athlete to enjoy the benefits either; so much soft tissue discomfort is fuelled by incorrect posture or prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, for example. Furthermore, for the athletes and sports people it is a great method for addressing minor niggles before they become performance limiting injuries. In addition, physical assessment will help to identify areas of weakness which could otherwise lead to further problems in the future.
