Dog training and rescue
I trained with Alison and Ian for four years in gun dog and agility. They are both fantastic people and amazing trainers, I leant so much and both myself and my dog molly had an amazing time, highly highly recommended.
Beautiful surroundings and dog behaviourist Alison who very much cares for both dog and owner who works very hard with rescues, training and specific skills. Ive been 3x and have already seen improvement with my dog at home and relationship wise. My husband and I tried others but after meeting Alison for an initial consultation we knew straight away we needed her help. More...
We got our first rescue pointer via K9interventions, a few years ago, Harry was a very needy boy who had lots of issues due to his previous history. Alison and Ian gave us lots of advice and help to manage these and we had six very happy years together before he died of cancer. More recently we have attended their training classes for a young rescue pointer who came from another organization. Again, fantastic advice and support, we would happily recommend Alison and Ian to anybody who is looking for a rescue dog and/or dog training. They are knowledgeable, caring and totally dedicated to ensuring the best interests of all the dogs they work with. More...
K9interventions really understood that this daft dog was just right for us and would be a brilliant companion for Stellar, our Bedlington Whippet cross. We are so pleased that they allowed us to adopt Solar. More...
We so enjoy our training sessions with these lovely people, professional, caring, knowledgeable, they care about every dog they rescue and every dog that trains with them. They always have the dogs best interest in mind and I've learnt so much from them. More...
Amazing peope with a genuine passion for the welfare of dogs.
Fantastic, loving and extremely knowledgable dog rescue centre. Doing an amazing, selfless job in providing a home when needed for so many dogs. Well done and thoroughly recommend! More...
K9 is an amazing place, Alison and Ian work so hard. I needed help with my crazy Labrador and without the time and patience of Alison training me, I'm not sure I would still have my crazy but lovely Labrador.
Super great dog rescue charity, dedicated & knowledgable. Greatly helped us with training when we needed help with a rescue dog we adopted from somewhere else.
I adopted my chocolate Labrador Barney from K9 and thought they were excellent. As he had some areas that needed to be worked on (as do most rescues) it was important that we were the right fit for each other. Alison was very clear to ensure that we understood Barney and his special ways. We’ve had him two years now and couldn’t be happier. Thank you! More...
I had a wonderful rescue from K9. Molly the sweetest little yellow lab and will also be always really grateful for all the help and advice they have given me over the years. So lucky to have both Alison and Ian in the village More...
A fantastic rescue organisation doing a wonderful job. BARC, The Busot Animal Rescue Concern in Alicante Spain can not recommend them highly enough, as they rehomed a number of dogs for us in the UK when we lost our rescue facility in 2014.
Keep up the great work
It is hard to appreciate how much time, effort, blood, sweat and tears go into running a rescue like K9 and I personally can’t praise them enough. Their ethos really is about matching a dog with the owner. To ensure harmony and safety. They are thorough, as they should be and the ongoing care and support is second to none. We were introduced to K9 6 years ago, through a friend. We adopted our beloved Ted from them and I have nothing but kind words to describe them. We are proud to be a part of the K9 rescue family and would trust them implicitly Xx More...
Fantastic rescue centre for those poor doggies that sometimes find themselves overlooked. Best thing about the work Alison, Ian and the rest of the team is reminding us that we, the owners need the help and training to be the best we can for our dogs. We have certainly been helped with our two beardies over the last 8 years ... K9 interventions do a fantastic job for dogs and humans!! More...
k9interventions were extremely helpful when we adopted our dog from them. They have the dogs best interests in all they do. These rescue dogs have had some tough times and k9interventions want them to have the best forever homes More...
We adopted our fur baby 6 years ago. After going to meet Alison about the dog we were originally interested in we quickly realised that he needed more than we could offer. After discussion about our circumstances we found our perfect fit. Alison has the dogs best interests at heart which meant we both got the best outcome and more importantly our fur baby - which is the most important thing . When the time comes we will definitely be in touch to look at adopting our next rescue- in the meantime we have a much loved couch hogger. More...
Fantastic rescue, puts getting the right forever home for their dogs above all else. Dogs are fully assessed and rehabilitated before being offered for rehoming and support and training advice willingly given.
We received amazing support from K9 interventions when we rescued Boyd (now Banner). After a turbulent start to life, we fell in love with the cheeky pointer cross that bounded around the enclosed field wanting us to play. We knew instantly he would be perfect for our family and arrangements were made for a house check and Boyd to move to us the very next day. The best 90minute journey we have ever made - we couldn’t be without our gorgeous boy. He’s the light in our lives ❤️ More...
We rehomed our two dogs from K9interventions, two years apart. The rehoming process is thorough as it rightly should be. We love both of our dogs to bits and can not thank K9interventions enough. More...
K9 Interventions helped me with my “aggressive” gun dog. They gave excellent solid, easy to use advice, and were a godsend to me at a difficult time. And during the training and time spent, I witnessed compassion, canine understanding, giving 200% of their life to dogs with all sorts of needs, and putting themselves out to help/support/rescue dogs from all over the country. I recommend them wholeheartedly, for advice, help, support and all things K9! More...
we adopted a Sprocker Spaniel from K9interventions as our first dog. Having been to visit her and seeing how delightfully crazy she is we were given a serious heads up that it wont be light work, but after the home visit we were determined to bring her home. she's all settled now and we couldnt be happier. she was obviously well looked after during her time at k9 and is now part of our young family. wouldnt hesitate to adopt from here again. Super dog rescue charity, dedicated & knowledgable. Helped us greatly with training & advise when we needed help with our rescue dog. 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Amazing rescue centre who only have the best interests of the dogs in mind when placing animals that have suffered. They have saved hundreds of lives Five stars
Lovely people, fabulous rescue
We adopted our dog Hamish (formerly Rookie) last September. Hamish has turned out to be the most loving and loyal dog and we couldn’t imagine life without him. The adoption process was very efficient and straight forward. I would highly recommend K9 interventions. More...
Although we have not adopted from K9, we did years ago have to take our dog their for a few weeks when we were witnessing distressing behaviour with her. They worked hard to get her back to her usual happy self and we finally had our girl back. Their training, knowledge and expertise is absolutely undeniable. We were at a scary point where we didn’t know if we were going to manage beforehand and then came back to a happy pup! They also took our dogs last year when we were on holiday as our dog who we had sent years ago was now poorly and old and we needed skilled people to look out for her. They did a great job, too. She died in December and we did look at k9 for another dog but the one we liked didn’t fit our criteria and we were advised immensely well on the types of dogs to get or not get. They don’t rush and tell you to adopt one of their dogs. They specifically want every owner to find the right dog and every dog to find the right owner. We then found our next dog at a different rescue but will be forever eternally grateful for K9 helping us in so many ways. They truly are a fantastic business. If we were more local our dogs would be there for training and agility and we would help out more, but unfortunately we are just too far away :( More...
Excellent rescue who ensure that the right home is found for their dogs. Very supportive and knowledgeable :)
My little Lilly has been to obedience and agility classes at k9 interaction. Not only did they help teach Lilly the basics, great socialising skills and some manners they ( maybe) more importantly taught me how to be a better dog owner by helping me read, understand and build a fantastic bond with my dog, all in some of the most beautiful purpose built surroundings I have ever seen. If your looking for a training school for your dog I would not hesitate to recommend alison and ian at the above. More...
Truly wonderful rescue centre that really care about their dogs going to the right forever homes! Friendly, great people.
We adopted Clover just over 2 years ago. As this was my first ever dog, K9 interventions were great in helping us make the right choice in terms of the right dog to adopt. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others. More...

We adopted Fergal a Lurcher from K9 Interventions nearly 5 years ago. They were helpful as we could only get down to meet him on a Sunday, which was a few days before Christmas. Luckily he liked us and we took him home with us. He's such a character and so loving, we can't imagine life without him. More...

highly recommended for both adoption and training. always have the dogs best interest at heart whilst remaining dignified and professional at all times.
We have fostered for K9 interventions and adopted 2 dogs who were a great addition to our home . They provide excellent help & advice and take time to ensure the right dog is rehomed to the right people. Our parents have also adopted from k9 interventions and have the most loyal dog they could wish for. We would highly recommend k9 interventions as the dog's welfare is always their main priority More...

Great place! Highly recommended x
I have no hesitation in recommending K9interventions who do an absolutely selfless, amazing job in providing these dogs in time of need a truly loving home. We are extremely grateful for being allowed to adopt Gracie, our Lurcher/Saluki cross who is the funniest and most loving dog and a credit to all that you do. Thank you More...
We visited and viewed a dog, it didn't work our for us as wasn't the right dog/home situation however I found K9interventions to be polite, professional and acting in the best interest of the dogs they rehome.
We have had two fantastic dogs from K9. Both adopted separately. They will check you out thoroughly do a home visit, check you with your vet. Ask your whole family to come. What you will get is an honest opinion on wether the dog will suit you and a happy ending with support. What the dog will get is a forever home. Our dogs are admired constantly and people don’t believe they are rescued. Thank you K9 for your dedication. More...
What a wonderful experience we had with K9interventions Alison spent time with my mum and myself to ensure Pickles was going to a home where he would be loved and be safe. We are both very grateful for the professionalism and kindness shown and would highly recommend anyone who is seriously thinking of adopting a dog. More...
lovely kind caring. best interests of the dogs first and foremost
fantastic rescue centre who truely care about their dogs welfare.
Fantastic dedicated rescue who take great care to place dogs in the right home
I had a really positive experience adopting our gorgeous border terrier cross. Due to the traffic, we were quite late collecting our new addition, Lola, but K9 interventions were extremely accommodating and spent time offering us advice and really helpful information. Because of the fantastic support and the thorough vetting process, adopting Lola has been really successful and she continues to be a delight and an important part of our family. The whole process from start to finish was positive. Thank you so much. More...
K9 is a very caring rescue, ensuring the right dog goes to the right family, also wanting to follow up and ensure the match works out. They do a fantastic job to help many many dogs and I thank them for giving their time to Achieving this. Well done and please continue your excellent work! More...
Fantastic small rescue with the dogs best interests at heart no matter what and. I matter how long it takes. Always helpful and really do care.
My mums experience was a positive one. After seeing an advert and wanting to rescue a dog K9 interactions couldn’t have been more helpful. We contacted K9 and talked about Chip now named Pickles. Alison was open and honest helping us to understand that any decisions made had to be right for Pickles and ourselves. We made an appointment and went for our first visit. Pickles was introduced and we took him for a walk. We didn’t make an on the spot decision but went home and talked it through. After leaving it a couple of days we re contacted K9 and asked for a home visit. This was invaluable Pickles being a Jack Russel cross had plently of places to escape. It was advised that the garden needed dog proofing we also talked about diet etc. Once things had been put in place at home we were in a position to say yes please and we couldn’t wait for him to arrive. Our whole experience has been a positive one with no rushed decisions and no pressure we would highly recommend K9interactions. More...
We have been very fortunate to rescue Barley from K9 Interventions - Alison and Ian. Their expertise and knowledge was second to none and their continued support has been invaluable. They 100% have ONLY the dog's interests at heart and to be frank anyone who doesn't appreciate and understand that shouldn't be rescuing a dog! They run a very small rescue and amazingly take in and keep those difficult dogs who otherwise would have nowhere to go. Those that can be rehomed are only rehomed to somewhere they trust will be right for the dog - that's the way it should be.We also attend training classes which are great fun as well as being really useful for training and bonding with your dog.We can't speak highly enough about K9 Interactions/K9 Interventions - long may they keep up the good work. More...

Endless knowledge, advice (always gratefully received) immense passion means we all benefit from being a part of K9intervention/K9interactions in particular, of course all the rescues. Wether old/young rehomed or staying at K9interventions for their last days/months and sometimes years depending on the reasons they are at the rescue, they are all loved :-) More...
